JVC KD-R210 4 x 50 Watts CD Receiver

JVC KD-R210 4 x 50 Watts CD Receiver
  • AM/FM radio, CD, CD-R/RW, MP3/WMA receiver
  • 4 x 50 Watts MOSFET amplifier with 2.5V subwoofer output
  • Detachable face with DOT display and red key illumination
  • Front-panel auxiliary input for connecting external devices
  • One-year limited warranty

I installed this myself (!) in my wife's 98 Rav 4; first installation for me, but with the Internet, you can do anything. The install was a snap, the radio works great, even plays our iPod using just a mini-plug cable. I thought it sounded pretty good, but my wife says it is much, much better than her factory radio that I replaced. My complaints are really minor: 1: You can't change the color of the display, and 2: If a station is weak you can change to monaural, but it changes all the stations to mono. I really recommend this radio.

works excellent, very loud and clear, great features, plays mp3 Cd's,up to 150 songs on one disk is awesome, love the remote and red buttons, display is easy to see,aux is nice and works well, tuner works good,it gets pretty hot after a while of usage,i believe that's normal though seeing the mosfet supply and heat syncs are mounted along the back side. if i needed another stereo deck,i would highly consider getting another one. JVC is also a well known name brand and has been around for decades so you know your getting the best quality without sacrificing reliability.

Three words.....Japan Victor Corporation....JVC. Love these units, easy in, easy use, long lasting, reasonably priced. I did order a Sony for my son's car this time, but have had JVC for years and LOVE them! I think the remote is kind of a stupid thing, but all my cars are small and I just reach over and make change.

I am loving this receiver so far! This receiver has all the basic features you would possibly need. It sounds great, even with factory cheapo speakers. I bought this unit mainly for the AUX input so I can play my iPod. Sure, you can get receivers that will control your iPod, but look how much more they cost! This is a better unit than one I bought years ago for $300! The remote is not very useful to me and is very small. It looks like it is made to go on a key chain. However, I did not buy this unit for the remote. The FM tuner works better than the factory unit. CD player works great and hasn't skipped a beat yet. At the time of this review, I haven't tried an .mp3 data disc in this unit yet. This unit does not come with a case for the detachable face, but I won't be taking it off anyway. I am not too worried about somebody breaking in for a $70 receiver.

My only con's about this unit would be the very small buttons and the volume knob is a little shallow and hard to grab . I have large hands so it is a little difficult to operate the receiver, but I will get used to it.

--Update 12/13/11 ---

Well, after owning this unit for just over a year, it is starting to have some problems. I believe it is starting to loose connection between the removable face plate and the main body of the unit. The sound is cutting in and out. moving the face plate will cause the audio to "kick back in" again but soon goes silent. I will try to clean the connectors, however, it may be time to start shopping for a new unit :(

I don't feel any difficult to install this car receiver into my Nissan Altima 2000 GXE. The sound is better than my original one. Easy to operated except the time adjustment because the instruction is not really clear. Otherwise this is the value receiver base on the price. I don't need expensive or fancy, the function is enought for me. Because i am install by myself, the hard part only I need to figure it out the wire system between the new and the old one.

GPX Personal CD Player

GPX Personal CD Player
  • CD, CD-R/RW playback with programmable tracks
  • Auto bass boost system
  • 6-digit LCD display and low battery indicator
  • Uses 2 AA batteries (not included)
  • Includes headphones

I bought this a few months ago and all it does is skip. Even with a nudge. I intended to use it for my car since my home stero is gpx I thought it would be a good buy. It skips even when I I touch my steering wheel. Caution *do not buy*

Purchased this player because I love Audio Books....and I've found that this one only needs one thing to make it GREAT!! It needs to have a separate "pause" button/OR a Turn OFF button that will let you stop and start at the same place in the disc instead of having to completely start the disc over.

Other than this very irritating problem, it is great!!

Disney Pixar Cars Dashboard Projection Alarm Clock - Cars Alarm Clock

Disney Pixar Cars Dashboard Projection Alarm Clock - Cars Alarm ClockBought this for my boys room. Now I see why they don't tell you much about it.

1. It ONLY operates on batteries.

2. So how does it project light on the ceiling without running down the batteries? Easy it ONLY projects for a few seconds after you roll over, reach out and find the tiny button on the back of the clock and push it in! I have owned 3 different projection clocks which only use the batteries for back-up and project the time 24 hours a day.... not this one.

3. The clock is so light that in order to push the button you have to hold the clock to keep itfrom moving around. Then, the tiny button you have to push to turn on the projection is the same size and only 1/4 inch away from the alarm on and off button! And So if he uses the alarm to get up for school and hits the wrong adjacent button in the middle of the night he turns off his alarm!!

I am returning it tomorrow, especially for $27.00

This alarm clock is sturdy, and it gets my son up for school on time. We are happy with the purchase.

The clock is really small for starters. On top of that the numbers are backwards on the screen. I'd like my kid to know how the number are supposed to look and not be confused by a cheap and clearly broken clock. Not to mention the projector for the time doesnt stay on for more than 15 seconds. I would never tell anyone to get this clock. Worst purchase of the holidays for me.

Decent unit, for the price. All the functions work well. I installed it myself, easy. I also hooked it up to my rear view camera. The screen is clear and the remote works fine. Money well spent.

I received my pyle 7 inch touch screen and after opening the packing unfortunately found the screen was cracked. I returned it and received a perfect replacement in a very prompt manner. The customer service department was very helpful and friendly which is always appreciated. The new system is now installed and working perfectly, other than the initial hiccup, good to go!

Pretty satisfied with it. For the price, it was worth it, even though it was refurbished. It was easy to hack, and there's so many things I'm gonna hook up to it(PS2, rearview camera, etc.). Plus it takes an SD card, so never burning discs again. Only complaint isn't about the seller at all. The display is really lame, Pyle didn't put any imagination into it at all. But like I said, you get what you pay for.

available all over in the low to mid $200 range.

i have the 120 also. great for motorcycling with wife. between communication n decent gps

(neither great alone, one futzes with the optimal performance of the other, but not enough for me not to stay with the rino model come upgrade time) i think its a usefull product.

UNLESS i get around to getting a cell phone. my wifes has bluetooth w/cordless headset,as does my son.that makes the best person to per talking setup ive seen,,gps too!

only thing missing, and for motorcycling or backpacking is the "friend location finder" rite there on the rino screen.

say she is having a problem with the rite channel or whatever,,i can still "see her" on my screen and find her.

it happened once, and we hooked up in less than 20 minutes..we were on the highway, and she took a exit,by the time i turned around and got to her exit,i could find her down the road. we lost sight of each other, and she thought i was way up ahead of her,but i was just a bit in front, but hidden by a truck,i saw her turn off in my mirror, and ya ya ya,,found her in no time.

also great i think is at the fair for handing to one of the kids. then if they arent talking,,you can still find/see them.

they are a bit pricy though. i wonder why no one else hasnt tried to make a similar one??

Memorex Projection Clock Radio

Memorex Projection Clock RadioI bought this for it's projection capability. As far as the alarm clock/radio portion of it I think it is as good as any other basic model. The projection number size and brightness was just fine on our 8' ceilings. It takes up less space at the base than other models which is another plus.

I ordered the Memorex MC2896 Projection Clock Radio to replace another brand that had given out. I looked it up under "atomic projection clocks", but unfortunately did not notice that this was not one of them. The time is easy to set, however you have to set it for the main clock and the projection clock separately. The power cord is not long enough for my purposes, it's about 5 feet long, but it does have space for a 9V battery, not included. The projected numbers are a good four inches high, but you can only move them up or down, and it has to be very dark in the room to see the numbers on the ceiling, which makes it pretty useless. (So I bought a standard battery operated wall clock and placed it across the room from my bed.) It has a hokey am/fm radio with a loose wire antennae and it offers no method to see what channels you are on or what you are changing to. It just digitally displays the time. I would have sent it back, but I didn't feel like hassling with repackaging. Next time I'll do better research and hope more reviews have been posted.

my girlfriend saw my clock simiular to this one, and really liked it, so i bought her this one. after setting it up and showing her how everything works, she loves it. it is really nice to just look up at the ceiling or at the wall and see what time it is, with out having to move from a comfortable position. and the projected time is big enough to see without having to put my glasses on. plus, she thinks i paid a lot more for it than i actually did!!

I love this clock. very easy to work and love how I can put the time on the wall or ceiling any where I need it to be. It is also very slim so it takes up little space. Easy to read really love it.
