I got this for my husband for his birthday. I think it was a good purchase for the $. Most docks I found (especially when looking in stores) only had one outlet but we have 2 iPhones and a iPad and I wanted to be able to charge them all at once. The dock is mostly square in shape and takes up a little more room that I hoped, but was comparable to the other speaker/dock stations I saw. The clock face is a great size and visible from across the room. The speaker works well. I thought the phones would plug directly into the "docks", but they acutally plug into the apple cords (you provide) and then sit in cradles. You can see the white cord in the photo. Then the back of the dock has space for four plugs and to wrap the cords. Same with the speaker, it plugs to a cord not directly to the dock. Definitely solves the fight over the charger or discovering the your phone didn't charge last night because the hubby swapped it out for his.

I'll mention that I checked various on-line stores for this product and amazon's vendors offered the best price. I waited until it was available through amazon directly because I wanted a better return policy (since it was a gift).

Perhaps I did not read the online description very well. I'm not sure. Either way, I would avoid this contraption unless you are looking for a large clock that can also hold your electronics in a less messy way. Basically, the device is a clock that has four USB connections (cords not supplied) for you to plug in electronics. I would suggest saving the money and just buy a multi-USB charger for a fraction of the price.

The unit is great...EXCEPT when the radio alarm goes off, it is on loud and I keep turning it down but when the alarm goes off, it is too loud music. I have great hearing but don't like to be startled awake. It appears this is a problem with the unit as others have same issue. The directions were not helpful. May have to return it if problem is not fixed. I had such high expectations for this. Can anyone help me??!!

The design of it is nice. It feels like very cheap plastic though. Plus it didn't charge my tablet. I had Asus Prime. That was one of the main reason I got it. So I had sent it back.

Nokia 5310 Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, MicroSD Slot--International Versi

Nokia 5310 Unlocked Cell Phone with 2 MP Camera, MP3/Video Player, MicroSD Slot--International Version with No WarrantyI've had this phone for a while now and have been very pleased. It seems to be much more durable than the two Moto Razr's I had previously. I like the improved alarms. I have my M-F alarm which lets me sleep in on weekends, reminders for my weekly and monthly appointments, and more. My favorite feature is being able to use any music file as a ring tone or alarm. I was unable to do this with both the Moto Razr's I had. I can transfer any of my MP3s to my phone over USB. The 1 GB storage is more than enough for me, but you can easily add more with the MicroSD card. This phone has actually replaced my iPod now! It doesn't have GPS and I can't watch TV, but I also didn't want to spend the extra money for the iPhone. I don't see any reason not to recommend this phone to anyone, it is very durable (I'm an avid rock climber) and its battery lasts about a week per charge depending on use (I talk about 3k minutes per month). I'm very satisfied with my Nokia Xpress Music.

The Nokia 5310, aka "The Music Xpress", is one nifty little phone! Sure, it's no iPhone, but if you want something that got just about as many bells and whistles for a little less money, you want this phone.

The 5130 is available in purple, orange, red and blue (I own the purple). It's very thin and small, but fits easily in the palm of your hand and doesn't give the impression it's going to fall apart if you look at it cross-eyed.

The buttons are raised up just a bit. The display is bright and vibrant. If you have T-Mobile service with this phone, you'll find it can handle the My Favorites plan just fine, with nice little icons and customizable options fo each person.

The phone has several nifty features, including a 2 megapixel camera that takes good-to-very-good quality pictures. It can also function as a video camera, doing both sound and image. There's no flash or self-portrait mirror, but you can make do. The screen acts as a view finder, of course. There's also four different levels of zoom and several different video effects (like black and white, negative, false color, etc). There's a nifty little mini-USB port you can use to move your files to a computer (assuming you have a cable. Thankfully the phone comes with one).

There's also the usual selection of programs, like a calculator, alarm clock, organizer, etc. The system also comes with a few game demos, none of which are particularly memorable.

Ah, but you want to know about the biggie, right? You want to know all about the music capability!

Well, this phone doesn't disapoint. There's external music controls and an external volume control. You can turn it up loud enough to annoy the people next door if you really try. There's also a headphone jack that, thankfully, allows for normal headphones to be used. I have a neat little set I got on a Delta flight, and they work just fine.

When I bought the phone it came with the USB cable I mentioned earlier, as well as a stereo hands-free headset with a detachable mic, and, joy of joys, a 1 gigabyte memory card! That's a really nice thing to have! I've got quite a bit of music on mine and it isn't even close to being filled. Tiny card, too. About the size of a fingernail.

Overall there's no real reason not to recommend this phone. It's sleek and stylish, has a great price point, comes with plenty of goodies and plays music very, very well. It's worth every penny I paid for it, and that's not something I can often say!

I am not a cell phone snob but wanted one that was small, could hold music, and be able to take quality pictures and video. This phone has all of that. I was able to download almost 100 songs and 100s of pictures onto the phone which is impressive because it is so small. I don't know how they could make the phone more efficient which is why this model isn't much different than the newer versions. The only problem that I have with it is that it is so tiny that it is very easy to lose so make sure you have a case for it.

its a good phone for you give to your kids or even for you, if you dont need all the crap of Apps, its a phone to make and receive call and SMS and MMS, it will also give you a good MP3 player, with the option to put more memory on it using the memory slot. work perfectly and come in many cool colors.

Pros; cheap, durable, slim, light and lots of resources

Cons: camera not good enough ( but for that price what you want???) key number to small for a men hands

I have been true to Nokias ever since I started using mobiles and every time I get a new one I am pleasantly surprised. 5310 is no exception to this rule.

5310 offers everything I expect from a Nokia sleek design (slim and fairly light), nice colours (nothing too flashy), sturdy materials and easy to operate software.

The screen is just the right size to use the internet and the connection is just OK to suit my needs that is checking information such as weather, movies, rates of exchange etc. I wouldn't recommend it, however, for reading long newspaper articles, however, the letters are a little to small.

The musical part is well done (the mobile even comes with a pair of small loudspeakers which is a very nice idea in theory but nothing very practical in everyday use) and I can't help but appreciate the handy controls on the outside. This Nokia basically made my ipod a fashion accessory why carry a mobile and an ipod if mobile offers most of ipod's functions?

There is also a camera good enough to take pictures which will show on the screen to let you know who is calling and snapshots but their quality is only a little above acceptable so don't throw away your camera before you check it out thoroughly and a radio, a nice addition (headphones, naturally included) although you should be prepared to recharge the battery quite often if you're addicted to listening all the time.

In short if you're shopping for small, sleek, light mobile phone with all the basic functions plus some added musical ones, this is your perfect choice. It's hard to get anything better for the money.

LYCO Universal Dock Adapter - Dock an iPhone in a case

LYCO Universal Dock Adapter - Dock an iPhone in a caseI bought this because my iPhone wasn't working well with my iHome iP9 clock radio. My iPhone has a thin case, which prevents the use of the standard adapter inserts. Consequently, the iPhone places a strain on the dock connector, which over time had become less reliable, presumably because of this.

Experimenting, I found that pulling forward on the iPhone would cause the connection to work correctly, so I sought an adapter that would fill this function.

This product seemed like it might work, and I'm happy to report that it does. It attaches to the iHome iP9 fairly well and provides good support to my iPhone with the case on it. My iPhone now charges and plays sound through the iHome device, so I do not need to buy a new clock radio.

This is a great idea for the product but you must make sure it fits. On their website it says that it fits most universal docking stations. The key is that the surface it goes on must be flat. I have a ihome ip90 it will not fit this because the top has a slight arch to it. Make sure your docking station has a flat surface and it should work great. They also have great customer service by the makers of this product. They responded quickly and friendly to my email.

I have a iPhone 4 with a slim case and a bumper case, docking station is an iHome IA90. Using the slim case and no bumper the adapter semi works, though the adapter itself does not lock in.

The slightest touch makes the adapter pop out. Using the iPhone bumper (bumper that goes on the phone, not the sticky ones for the adapter, not sure why they called them the same as a case bumper...) does not work at all, with or without the sticky bumpers that attach to the adapter itself.

I can get the phone to sit in the adapter but it does not make a connection unless the phone is propped just a tab bit forward when using the bumpers or about a quarter of an inch when not using the bumpers.

Either way with a phone in the adapter or not, the slightest touch makes the adapter pop out of the docking station.

I have emailed the company with hopes that it's simply the one that I purchased, will update with any information I get.

This works great with my iPhone 4. Using the universal apple dock, last model and new model.. Also works with memorex minimove portable boombox.

Edit-works with apple bumper and incipio cases...DOES NOT Work with Otterbox unless you want to cut off the charge port plug.

This works fine with an iPhone 4 in Apple's bumper case. Fits well and provides support using the included "bumpers" (stick on rubber pads). I don't care for the black on top of the white dock, but hey I don't have to remove the bumper case.

iSymphony CR1 Portable Clock Radio Music System with Built-in Universal Dock for iPod (Black)

iSymphony CR1 Portable Clock Radio Music System with Built-in Universal Dock for iPod
  • Compatibility: iPod mini; iPod nano 1G, 2G; iPod classic 3G, 4G, 5G; iPod touch
  • Built-in Universal Dock for iPod charges your iPod while docked
  • Alarm clock wakes you up to your favorite radio station or buzzer alarm
  • 4-watt output power with FM stereo/AM digital PLL tuner
  • Auxiliary input for any external audio player; AC/DC power (works with 6 C-cell batteries)

This is the perfect little system if you want to listen to your iPod tunes in your cubicle or work area, or at home in one particular room (bedroom, kitchen, etc). It's not meant for really large areas and at only 4 watts isn't going to crank out sound that rattles the windows, but that's not what I bought it for. The sound is crisp, clear and consistent, the clock, alarm and radio also work well. Since this is a basic system you control it using the iPod wheel rather than through the buttons on top. I've used this daily since I got it and it sounds as good as day one. I've used both a 30 and classic 80 gig iPod with this because they provide different size shims. If I wear this out for whatever reason I'd definitely buy another since it's already outlasted a previous (higher-priced) system I had by a different manufacturer. I think this great for the price and the size fits just about anywhere without being too obtrusive or bulky.

Edit 7/7/08: Still works and sounds great. The only problem I've experienced is the antenna seems delicate and broke off (probably due to user error, aka me). I don't get radio reception where I use this (my office) so it's not really a problem, but if you are going to be using it, take care when extending and retracting it.

This product does what it says it does: allows you to dock your iPod and doubles as an alarm clock radio. While it meets the bare minimum of its claims, it has serious design flaws that prevent a favorable recommendation.

The clock on the radio can only be viewed from a very certain angle in front of and slightly above the unit. Viewed from level to the device, slightly to the side, or any distance of more than 2 or 3 feet, the display turns into an unreadable luminescent blur. Because the display is tilted upward when the unit is sitting level, it is completely useless as an alarm clock if it sits level to or above your bed.

This assumes, however, that you can use it as a clock to begin with, because the unit will display the radio frequency and not the clock anytime you have it set to the radio function including when the alarm goes off. The unit also must be turned off for the alarm to function, and the display is not lit when the unit it turned off.

If all you want to do is play your iPod at work on your desk and don't mind using the iPod's clock instead of the display on the unit, this product may work for you. However, if you plan on using it for an alarm clock, you're much better spending a little more money for another unit. You'll probably end up spending that money anyway once you realize how poorly this product was designed.

So, the first reason this is so great is that I got it on black friday and the price was just $99.99 plus tax. It is supposed to charge my ipad and wake me up in all sorts of ways. It has a piece of nice looking rubber seated near the charging plug for the ipad that can be removed if you want to use an ipod instead.

I downloaded the manual because the buttons on top are SUPER difficult to see in the my bedroom. It's not a super bright room and the buttons are silver with backlit names on them. If you are setting it up, it's hard because you need light and you can't see what you need to see. The trade-off is that the buttons and the design look very nice and clean. Anyway, I put my ipad on it's little dock and pressed the time sync button on the back of the unit and wow! The time was set! Then the manual said I needed to download onto my ipad the ihome app. Well, there are two and I am already confused. I can't believe I'm going to have to decipher all this. This is NOT Apple people.

Anyway, my ipad was 56% charged when I put it on there and now it is 36%. I had set only one alarm to go off for 6am every day. The alarm sounded briefly and never resounded! I don't know if I got a lemon but in the troubleshooting section, when your ipad fails to charge, they just have three different scenarios where they blame your Apple product. Lame. I am charging my ipad just fine on the wall adapter.

I will give it more stars if these problems get straightened out. I wanted to leave this review since there were no others. Sometimes companies find a way to start clean when there are lots of problems reported in reviews. If the docking problem on mine is an isolated incident, I'll find out sooner.

i just purchased this unit from Sam's Club at a great price! unlike the other reviewers, i am using this clock radio in my office. It is a wonderful unit! as soon as i set it up and put my iPhone on it, the clock immediately synched time with my iPhone.

I had to purchase and return several other iPhone speaker docking units because i have a case on my iPhone and i didn't want to remove every time i used the dock. this unit has a removable rubber strip that when removed, was very easy to set my iPhone on the dock.

Not only does the unit charge my iPhone with no problem, but the sound is great. the radio is easy to set up and is perfect for my use.

The reason for the 4 stars is because the buttons on the top of the unit are hard to read. Out of curiosity, i will set the alarm and see how it works.

This was an early Christmas present for my wife. It started out fine. I downloaded the free app that allows you to use your phone or ipad to sync the clock and to set up the alarms. The app interface is kind of important because the the controls on the clock are not user friendly. For about a week, we had it set up to wake us with the radio, and that was fine. Then, ihome seems to have changed it's apps. When I tried to set the alarm to wake with radio, I get sent to the app store to BUY a radio app! Really? A hundred dollar alarm clock and the company wants me to pay more money to have a radio option? Any cheap radio clock can do that much without the need for a four hundred dollar phone running a two dollar app. So far this week, we've had two out of two alarm failures and we're not exactly sure why because it worked fine last week before the apps mysteriously changed. So, now it fails as an alarm clock and I need to buy a feature I already had under the old app. My advice is skip ihome and find a nice speaker dock for your iphone/ipad and get a cheap, reliable clock for waking up.

Just bought this as a gift for our 11 year old son. He opened the package, plugged it in, and figured out how to use it in minutes. The sound is great. Set the alarm with no problem, even chose the song to wake up to from is ipod app. Time sync'd as soon as the ipad was in place. He uses the ipad screen to update information on the id85, I noticed. If he can do it so quickly and easily, I can not see why others are having issues. Maybe once he starts getting into more complicated types of use, it might get more challenging, but so far, no guess work and super easy to set up and use for music and an alarm!!!

Received for Christmas 2011, Apple update to iOS 5.1, and it is no longer compatible. It charges, but will not play music. But the worst part (for me) is that the audio settings are all jammed up after docking. I literally have to power down and reboot in order for my audio to work after placing on this.

(I have the iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1...just one man's tale)
