Cons: the DVD tray seems very fragile. I don't know if it is as it hasn't broken or anything, but I wouldn't want my kids playing with it very much. The only other problem I have noted is that, while the remote works very well, the buttons on the base unit sometimes are quirky (at times when I push the skip ahead button it skips twice, and the volume knob has to be turned slowly or it doesn't respond)
Overall the system works well for the price, if you can get past its quirks.

It was an early Christmas present so we could listen to Christmas music. Worked less than an hour. First the volume control worked for a few minutes, then stopped. Then the sound quit altogether. No sound from earphone jack either. Now I have to send back at my expense!!! I have no choice but to accept a replacement and meanwhile no Christmas music. Very disappointing.Want iLive 2.1-Channel DVD/CD Home Music System with iPod Dock (Black) Discount?
Good sound quality unless you want some real volume. iPod starts to skip when you crank it. Based on other reviews it might just be a matter of time before volume goes out all together. Also a real bummer that it has to try and load the CD before you can select your operating function. Would not recommend this product.I don't recommned this at all, the FM radio never worked, the IPOD dock stopped working, then the sound quality got poorer every day until it stopped working at all. And the worst is I hardly used it.0 out of 10
