I have own this item for a month and 1/2. I love it. It works very well. Plays my Ipod 4g Nano, disc/dvd, usb,have a radio tuner too. HDMI capable. one down fall, bass is not very loud. but if you getting this for an apartment or bedroom excellent choice! I was going to get the bose sounddock but for 600 dollars it dose not have all these features. For the connection to ipod remember to use the universal adaptor and plug in ipod very carefully. I give this 4 stars because the bass was not loud enough.

I just got my Pioneer Docking Station yesterday. I've been looking for a new docking station for awhile since my old one didn't support my iPhone. I did tons of research and read tons of reviews before settling on this one. I read reviews where people claimed that this unit support the iPhone 4, which I have. But, while it PLAYS my iPhone..it doesn't charge it, which is a major bummer for me since that was one thing I really needed.

On the up side, the sound is really nice for a unit of this price (nice bass sound, just remember to turn off your iPod/iPhone EQ), and the remote is a nice touch, as well. It has more functions than I will ever use (I have no need to hook this up to my tv to watch movies off my iPhone), but I image for some it would be quite useful. It's a little larger than I would have liked, but it's still sleek and nice looking.

I also like the fact that you can rip CD's onto a USB device. I doubt I'll use that feature often, but it's nice to know it's there.

If it charged my iPhone, I would have given it 4 stars, but it doesn't so I won't. I'll probably keep it, I'm just not as in love with it as I originally thought I'd be after I heard the sound.

The dock where the iPod sits has had connector issues, preventing me from playing any music or podcasts from my iPod Touch through the Pioneer system. For a brand new product this is extremely disappointing! Not to mention, I originally ordered black and they sent me white. First time Amazon has failed, but very disappointing nonetheless!!

Love the sound quality. Bought it because it combines CD and DVD, eliminating clutter on my TV stand. And it means you can also use it to play the movie sound, although it's not going to compare to a theatre system, not in volume. Two major drawbacks: the display, which is pitiful. As far as I know, it won't show the CD track number being played, unless you turn on the TV and use the screen for display. The dock display is tiny and basic, like an early digital watch, and it doesnt' do much.

The other improvement I wish for is to be able to navigate my ipod menu with the remote. My RCA clock radio can do this, and it's really handy. So, you can skip songs but not choose a different artist.

The audio-in I use instead of the TV speakers. To be fair, I haven't fully explored all it can do, and someone more techie than I might better appreciate all the connection options. One further annoyance. When loading a disc, there is a delay of several seconds before the disc can be inserted.

It's good looking, it sounds wonderful. Maybe wait for a sale.

works okay with ipods, but the dvd player is absolutely junk, it constantly skips and loses place. I have had the same problem with 2 other ILUV docks. I hate to say it, but we're gonna have to buy a bose.
