Had been looking for a while for a nice undercounter unit as an anniversary gift for our son and his wife. This unit had everything that we were looking for to include an interface cable for an MP3/IPOD player. Very impressed.

Replaced an older Emerson under the counter C/D radio that finally died, and decided to upgrade and try the Sony model.It is thicker and bulkier then Emerson, has same features and sound, and cost double. The worse is this radio has terrible reception. The cord is suppose to act as an antenna and just does not work. Even attached an extension cord with no improvement in reception of some local stations. Defeats the purpose of having a radio. Just received the under cabinet radio by Sony. I was really interested in getting certain features but the quality of the sound was most important. This radio delivers nice sound volume and quality for its design and size. I am very pleased with the audio and would recommend it to those with similar concerns. I was also pleased with the capability to have 10 preset FM bands and 5 presets for the AM band. I really like the the MP3 integration feature even though it doesn't charge my iPhone while playing. It's a simple economical design with a removable side tray to hold the device when plugged in. I had no issues installing from underneath, using the template, because there was no room to use my drill above the cabinet due to height restrictions. It all worked first time. It's easy to set the clock and even has a timer. I think this was the right selection and there aren't really that many quality devices to choose from it seems.
I love this alarm clock! It's easy to use and sounds great. I listen to music to fall asleep and like to wake up to the radio in the morning and the sound on this little guy is fantastic! The gradual alarm feature is great!! It doesn't come on full blast and scare you to death first thing in the morning. Also, you can set the alarm to only go off 5 days of the week so you don't have to worry about shutting it off before you go to bed on Friday night or try to remember to set it Sunday night. This alarm clock is small and doesn't take up much room on my nightstand at all. It has several settings depending on how bright you want the display you could guide ships with the brightest level. You can also turn off the display completely if you like it really dark in your room. The dock head pivots so even with my Otterbox Defender case I can dock my iphone 4s.

When I was looking at this radio on-line, the idea seemed to be great, so I got it for my husband's night table. He liked it at first, but then he realized that some of the features make it unusable for him. For instance, the LED display is too bright even when it is set to minimal brightness. The numbers on the display cannot be seen from a bed (you can only see them well enough when you stand in front of the alarm). There was not enough options to control ipod using the remote control. iphone in a protecting sleeve cannot fit into the connector, so my husband never used it to recharge his iphone.This product has excellent features, as you've probably read. My only suggestion for the manufacturers is that they might want to make the display less bright. Even though you can regulate the brightness, I have to turn it all the way down at night because it emits a blue-ish glow. However, every time I hit the snooze button, the brightness goes up, so that's why at night I have to turn it down. But otherwise it's a great alarm clock.Well I really read the other reviews through before picking this up, so I knew the problems with it as an alarm. I picked this up soley to have a dual iPod charger/stereo/clock. For this reason I give it 5 stars. The blue is a bit bright but it doesn't bother me too much, it works a bit as a nightlight for me at night. I love having two chargers set up in a house of seven, I know it will get a lot of use! There are five ipods between the seven of us so we will be working it! Also I really wanted a speaker for mine, my sister had bought me one for Christmas that took batteries but this one plugs right in so I won't have to go through as many batteries, solves many problems for me. Definitly many pluses and problem solvers for me already! It is a nice machine minus the complaints about the alarms which I haven't even bothered with, I am used to using my cell phone anyways! But as a dual iPhone/iPod charer and speaker charger and stereo set it is a great system and I highly recommened it!

If i could give this alarm 0 stars I would. It is terrible. The lamp, snooze, and reset functions are all in the same button. The lamp is one thing but the snooze and the reset are the exact opposite things!! If you accidentally hit the snooze button twice, the thing shuts off. Countless mornings I'd wake up and not hear my alarm sounding wondering how it turned off. I originally bought this because after 2 1/2 years my sonic boom vibrator failed me and I received no support cause I was out of warranty. I was upset with the company. Today I just ordered a new sonic boom. I would pay the same for 2 1/2 good yrs out of sonic boom than for a lifetime with the wake assure. My wife will tell you that I could sleep through anything. My previous alarm clock was one of those that starts soft and gets louder. Personally I like the red and yellow "suitable for boys or girls" alarm clock better with sounds of disney characters, splashing in the tub, in an old fashioned car honking a horn, multiple alarm clocks ringing,and goofy mumbling to himself "har har har". My daughter saw this one though and wanted to "trade me" for it. She loves princess anything and is willing to put up with all the giggling sounds.
