I bought four of these units and each one had the LCD display fail which made the units inoperable in a practical sense. The sound quality was fine, but once the LCD display goes, it is impossible to have the unit function as an alarm clock, sleep clock, change the stations, etc. A very disappointing experience and a total waste of money times 4!

I want to buy this product and have followed it from Amazon to Country Home Products to the Crosely website. On the Crosley website instead of vague information regarding the "antenna" it explains the necessity of purchasing either an XM mini tuner to play XM (as well as getting a subscription to XM) or ordering another product an XM Mini Tuner and Home Dock. This explicit information should added to both this website and the Country Home Products website. Otherwise purchasers will not get what they think they paid for. All of these items are on back order according to the Crosley website and no date is given as to when it should be available. I am disappointed but want to order this item.

No it is not portable and light. I want something that I don't have to build but can simply attach a tuner and go after getting the subscription. This looks like it.

11/04 Review Update. I have been having a lot of problems with the Dock for this product, which is really a shame. Its great in all other ways but I keep it at my desk at work and so I am always taking my iPhone on and off the dock. The dock is sort of flimsy plastic and it slides around very freely when extended. So when you are trying to put your iphone on the dock, the dock is sliding back & forth and so I have to hold the dock with one hand to keep it still while I try to dock the iphone. If you don't get it docked just right, the iphone complains this unit is not compatible with the iphone, etc.. I think this is due to the pins not lining up right. Its really annoying. I dropped a star off my review.

Also, forget trying to keep your iphone in its case, the dock unit is not adjustable (online other sony clock radios that offer iphone docking). As the main thrust of this unit is to be a dock for your iphone or ipod, its a shame Sony didn't spend a little more time on making the dock more sturdy and capable of keeping your case on.

Just got this in some initial comments that I will update later. So far I am really blown away by what Sony has crammed into this thing. It is by far the ultimate ipod desk or bedside accessory. Sony is really pushing the limits of an ipod/iphone accessory here. Looking at my review, you see a lot of cons I think its because this unit pushes the limits so far that people will have thoughts on how it could be improved. Nothing is 'wrong' with this unit really, its just some of my personal preferences I think.

Despite some of the design flaws, overall its a fantastic unit. However, it might get promoted to my desk as opposed to bedside. I don't know that i really need a video screen bedside & a digital picture frame. At my desk tho, that would be much handier.

Pro's:

LCD Screen is extremely bright & crisp you can play video from the ipod or iphone or from internal memory or a memory card or USB stick! I would have no probs watching tv episodes or even a movie off this screen. You can even watch youtube videos on the LCD playing from the iphone. You can choose full screen or fit to screen for video and stills. Video screen integration with the iphone is simply put, exceptional.

The unit has a memory card slot and a usb slot plus 1gb of internal storage. You can play stills, music & video from the internal storage or the memory card or the iphone. Extreme flexibility.

You have decent playback controls on the unit to control playback from the iPhone. Buttons are hard to see when "in bed" as they are flush on the unit's base, you'll have to just learn where they are I guess.

4 brightness settings for the LCD screen including "nightmode". My wife would kill me if this thing lit up the bedroom. Nightmode essentially just puts the time on the screen very very faintly, so faint even in total darkness its faint I like it!

Built in battery for when you lose power nice touch. Supposed to have auto time set but it didn't work for me. I had to set the clock manually.

Slide out tray for your iphone, etc. seems to be able to hold my iphone in its case great news. Tray is not the best design tho.

Track & playback information displays on the display when you play music from the ipod very cool. No album artwork on the unit however.

In settings you can see the "software" version which says 1.0. Maybe this implies we'll get updates for it that you can load via memory card? That would be nice. There are a few features that could act differently. Fixing nightmode and adding album artwork would be great.

Cons:

No remote. Seriously Sony? Not even for basic functions like volume and play / pause? Serious lack of thought for a pricey item. My last Sony ipod clock radio had a great remote & was almost half this price. Sad face. This is a really glaring omission.

Speaker quality is pretty "tinny" I was under impressed with the sound coming from this unit. My last Sony iphone clock radio had great speakers and cost less than $100. So the trade off is I get a video player but my music quality drops a lot. Again, tho, clock radio not meant to be a full sound system.

The iPhone / iPod dock could have been better made. It feels flimsy and I have to use both hands to dock the iphone. One to hold the entire unit steady and one to place the iphone in the cradle. The dock locks when you push it into the body of the unit but when you extend it, it does not lock into place and slides back & forth. I sense a potential point of failure here.

It seems you can't delete the internal "demo" photos or video. Sounds silly but I don't want to see "demo" pics on my slide show. I figured out that if you play the slideshow from a memory card it skips the internal pics. There are about 6 pics of "kids" and landscape that always repeat if you play the slideshow from the internal memory. Very annoying that if you play the slideshow from the internal memory you are stuck with "demo kid" and stock photo shots in your mix.

You have to go into the settings to switch to video playback for the iPhone, it would be nice if you could switch to video easier than that. Also, if you stop playing video or use another function on the clock, you have to go back to video settings and switch to ipod video again. I'd like a button on the unit to do that.

I can't figure out how to turn the clock off when watching a video from the ipod, it displays the time in the lower right corner. Would be nice to be able to clear the screen while watching a video.

It seems you can't enter 'nightmode" when listening to music or using the "sleep timer" function. The screen stays on the lowest regular setting which is quite bright in total darkness. I'll have to play with it more maybe they can patch it. This is a pretty big issue, what's the point of a sleep timer if the thing is lighting up the entire room.

The unit has no audio in (fail) and no headphone jack. It could really use both of these but you can plug in your iphone headphone while watching video on the screen.

I really was pleasantly surprised by everything this small unit can do. My only complaint so far, is that the buttons are a bit complicated when you first see and use them, but it all makes since once you get the hang of it and realize what it can do.

I have tested playing both an Ipod classic and an Ipod Touch and the dock works fine with both. I have also tested playing back the IPod for both music and movies. It works great.

I haven't tested loading any images, movies, or MP3's to the on board memory (1GB) but I was able to plug in an 8GB SD card. It played the MP3's on it with no problems. I have not tested the USB port yet.

Some other things I like about this unit:

The screen can be dimmed or turned off almost entirely for sleep.

It has two alarms that are easily adjusted, turned on/off when needed.

You can set your own background wallpaper.

The sound quality isn't too bad considering the size of this unit.

The time readout is easy to see and it is easy to see if the alarms are set as well.

Overall, this is a smart looking and a versatile addition to my night stand.

Like most users here, I was really disappointed when I first started using this device. The fact that you could not omit or delete the sample pictures from scrolling was unbelievable. Then, the unit would freeze up every few weeks so I was never too confident in it as an alarm clock. To top it off, I could change the display mode, but it would change back to the default mode whenever the alarm went off. It seems like Sony simply did not spend any time testing this unit and just rushed it out with the understanding that a firmware update would resolve the issues.

Well, actually, that is what happened. I was ready to throw this thing out the window (I already threw the box out or I would have returned it). But then I downloaded firmware 1.05 from the sonystyle support site. Now it seems all the issues have been addressed. You still can't delete the sample pictures but there is an option to omit them from the cue. It remembers your display mode, and it hasn't frozen up yet....

Thank goodness, this was how it should have been when it was first launched. For everyone who regrets buying this clock radio because of these bugs, but would love it if they were addressed, download the latest firmware update and you will finally have what you want!

Remarks:

A unique product that hopefully will get better in its 2nd iteration. One of the few portables that can play iPod videos. Philips has portable dvd players in its range that accept iPod but they are all low resolution screens. iLuv has another portable dvd player coming out but requires awkward placement of iPod inside the case. This Sony is the only model that is iPhone compatible.

First, I don't know why a previous reviewer gave it one star without even having one to review. If you have a problem with a seller, give the seller one star, not the product.

I'd been waiting for this little clock-radio to finally hit the market. Ordered it on Sony's website (Amazon didn't have it till just now), then ended up buying at another retailer because Sony was backordered. Sony's list is $149.95, so anyone selling for more than that is trying to make a buck on the popularity and scarcity.

I've only had it two days, but here's what I know so far.

Pros:

* it DOES get dim enough to sleep I was worried as other preview reviewers commented on the brightness

* it has nature sounds (which was a criteria for me)

* it is a photo frame viewer, which shows slide shows of your photos

* it wakes you to radio, ipod/iphone, nature sounds, a 10-second recording (funWakeup), music stored on it, or buzzer

* sound is much better than other clock radios I've used

* button interface is good, unlike other clock/radios I've used

* connects easily with my iphone

* has atomic time, so don't have to set the time

* has digital radio stores preset stations

Cons:

* it's a little hard to get a bunch of photos off a USB stick to internal storage you have to select each photo individually

* it's a little hard to make all those photos I just copied display as the wallpaper/slide show you have to select each photo individually

* hitting the snooze button in the morning brings the brightness back to full brightness I want to sleep more! (I'll have to get used to this)

I'm still learning how to use it, not that it's hard, I just haven't had much time to mess around with it yet. But so far it's been everything I was expecting. Great little photo frame/clock/radio.

Just got this today and played around with it for a while. I was thinking of buying the iP9 last week, but am so glad I didn't because this one has been listed on Amazon since then at almost the same price.

I've tested the alarms, which work as they should. While the unit itself has the 2 alarms similar to the older version of this (iP9), the app, which is free to download through the app store, can have many more alarms. The features I really enjoy on the app are being able to choose "bedtime" music, and choose specific songs to play to fall asleep to or wake up to, and you can even set the volume on your individual alarms. The app also has things like the weather displayed on the alarm screen, which is always nice to know when you wake up. What I also really enjoy about this when compared to the regular iPhone alarm is being able to set the time for the snooze. The unit comes with the docks to support multiple devices, but I like that I can also plug my iPhone in without there being a dock since I have a pretty thick case on my iPhone. Another great feature is that by the press of a button on the device, you can sync the time on the clock to match your iPhone time. The one con I have found in the few hours I've had this is that the time does not remain synced, but is not off by more than a minute (this is stated in the user manual as well).

Overall, the fact that I can set the alarms and more from an app makes this alarm clock definitely worth it. The sound quality is also really great and doubles well as speakers in the bedroom.

The app is called iHome+Sleep (FREE), and there is also another one that you can use to wake up to internet radio stations (iHome+Radio) which costs $2.99, although I haven't tried that one out yet.

UPDATE 11/29/11:

I've had this for a few months. I'm not as impressed with the App as I was at the beginning. I've found bugs in it and it's failed me a few times (luckily I was never late). The alarms on the unit itself work very well. Maybe I just haven't figured it out perfectly, but the app alarms haven't really worked smoothly for me. Regarding other things...I love the nap feature that is both on the app and the unit. Also to note, the alarm DOES go off when the phone is on silent.

I reduced the stars I gave it from 5 to 4 because of the app, but I still recommend this iHome, especially since the former version that has fewer features is more expensive now as it's being phased out.

The Sound:

The sounds is great for what you are paying for. The speakers can be heard from my room on the third floor in the kitchen on the first. The iHome has the great 3D sound setting and Reson-8 speaker chambers with a bass export on the back. Therefore, the speakers music fills the room and the bass has some punch. I have hooked up mine to my dual subwoofer, so the sound is phenomenal. I have actually replaced my old sound system for the iHome and my woofer! Though, these are small speakers, so don't expect to get too much bass with these. They are perfect for alarm clocks, but if you want to use it as a speaker system, use a subwoofer and attach it to the iHome via the 3.5mm aux jack on the back. A problem is that the treble can be a bit "tinny" for a few songs, but only on 3/300 songs on my mp3 player does that happen.

Overall:

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for one of the best alarm clocks on the market (especially for the money)! If you would like to use it as a speaker system, i would recommend adding a subwoofer, since the small size of the speakers tend to indicate less bass. This is probably one of the best products (that have to do with music) I have ever purchased.

This thing was easy to set up, looks very slick, is quite compact but it has a HUGE sound. Who would have thought a clock radio with bass and treble control! Well, I guess IHome did... Love the dimmable LCD and backlighting on the buttons. I've been laying a handkerchief over my previous clock radio because it was too bright next to the bed. One word of warning.... The "App-Enhanced" is something that is NOT built into the radio, it just means that it will play apps from the IPod/Phone when it's plugged in. I have an IPod Classic which is not connected to the net so I will not be able to listen to internet radio as I expected. I compared this unit to the Logitech Squeezebox and probably would have spent the extra dough to access Spotify and other streaming music sources. Oh well, I'll keep it because it sounds so good.

I bought this unit to replace a Sony ICF-C7iP clock radio that stopped charging my phone when it was docked. To my surprise when I got this radio & tried to dock my iPhone 4S to it, the same thing happened. My iPhone will not charge when docked to either clock radio. The funny thing is that the iPhone will play music through the iHome with no problems. I tried re-seating the phone with no luck. I tried cleaning the contacts with compressed air thinking that there maybe was lint preventing a clean connection. No dice. But when I plug my phone into a standard sync cable or a syncing dock, it will charge fine. I had also tried plugging the iHome into a different outlet with no luck either.

I believe the problem is with the latest iOS upgrade. I upgraded to 5.1 and I believe this is what's causing the problem. Very strange how an upgrade like that would stop something so basic such as charging from occurring. I think that if you have iOS 5, you're OK. So you can do a few things to prevent this from happening if you have yet to upgrade your iOS:

1. Keep your phone on iOS5. From what I understand, once you upgrade your OS on your iPhone, you can't revert it back. I tried doing a restore several times with no luck.

2. Wait for iHome to release a firmware upgrade for the latest iOS. I emailed their tech support asking for help and hope to hear back from them soon.

3. Wait for Apple to release a new upgrade to iOS which will hopefully fix the issue. I wouldn't hold my breath on this one as companies like Apple don't care about aftermarket companies' products (iHome, Belkin, etc.). If they're going to release an update, it's going to be to fix various bugs & to offer enhancements on the iPhone, not to fix incompatibility with aftermarket products.

Other than that, I like this clock radio very much. It was very easy & quick to set up and customizing the alarms is a very nice touch. I like the fact that you can adjust not only the snooze time (1-29 mins), but can adjust each alarm's volume. I also like the volume buttons and the tuner buttons...they are much easier to use than the stupid dials that the iH9 has. Plus it's very reasonably priced...can't beat that!

Overall, this is a nice unit. I am disappointed that my iPhone does not charge on the clock radio which is the primary reason I bought this. Once that gets fixed, this will be a perfect clock radio.

One last note. I also have an iHome iH9 clock radio which charges and plays the iPhone with iOS 5.1 no problems. So if you're in the same situation as me and are in the market for a new clock radio, you might want to look at this one first. Yes it's a bit more expensive (at least on Amazon) but it might be worth it since you most likely won't have any compatibility problems with it.

The "iHome iA9BZC" is a very good, full feature radio alarm clock and dock for iPods (including our 3rd generation iTouch). We already own (and like) the iHome iP9 Speaker Dock with Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone (Black), but like the enhancements they made on this model. Here are my observations:

+ iPod Dock Makes firm connection using the included inserts

+ AM\FM Radio Good reception on both bands

+ Dual Alarm Clock A nice feature since my wife and I both use this clock

+ Remote Control Full function remote control

+ Audio Quality To my untrained ear, this unit sounds very good for a nightstand clock radio

+ Brightness Control sets the display brightness

We have not installed the free app that provides additional alarms and control options since my needs are more basic. There is also a paid app available that allows for the addition of Internet radio stations when the iPod is attached.

Overall I am very pleased with the iP9BZC both as an iPod charger and as full featured clock radio.

Important facts not included on Amazon details:

Measures roughly 5"x4"x1.5". It is smaller than it looks in the picture

Uses 2x AA batteries for radio. Does not come with these batteries.

Uses 2x 76+ GA button batteries to run the clock/temperature display. These batteries were included in shipment, but appear to be DOA.

Pros:

-Clear, verbose sound. Not tinny like most shower radios I've used in the past

-Long battery life. Bought this in June, used it every morning for ~20 minutes, and I'm still on the same pair of AA rechargeable batteries. My old clock radio went through three AAAs every month.

-Has an Aux 3.5 MM port, so you can plug in an MP3 player, laptop or anything else, in addition to listening to FM.

-Small form factor. Very light. Measures roughly 5"x4"x1.5". The picture makes it look bigger than it actually is

-Hanging hook can be reversed into a stand.

Cons:

-Not mountable to the wall by itself. This can also be sort of an asset as you can quickly take it with you to the closet (if that NPR story is just too riveting). I hang it from one of those 3M adhesive hooks in my shower. It works great.

-Clock batteries were dead on arrival. I have never used the clock/temperature functions on this, so I can't appraise that part. I only care about the radio so I was not much bothered by the dead batteries.

-Aux port is located on the back. I would prefer it be on the side since I hang it against the wall in the shower. It's not a big deal but it causes the clock radio to hang askew when I'm using the 3.5MM cable. It sits fine when I'm not using the cable.

That's about it. If you're looking for an FM radio for your shower and you want it to be small, clear, loud, cheap, hook to MP3 player and get good battery life, then this seems to me to be the best option out there.

This radio has worked perfectly for us. It's been hanging in our shower for about a year. The batteries last longer than expected. The radio picks up stations as well as our stereo and the aux line allows us to listen to podcasts and internet radio. It doesn't take up much room and you can still work the knobs with wet, soapy hands.

Remember when cell phones were like this? Me neither. First off this thing is tiny. Like 3-1/2 inches tall. You could almost wear this as a Bluetooth headset if people still did that instead of just holding their phones 3 inches in front of their faces and screaming at them. It does work like a cell phone. Just install your SIM card and you will be talking in minutes. The battery came about 70% charged. I bought this as a backup phone to keep in the house for emergencies. It did get a strong signal everywhere I tried it which is more than I can say for all my other phones.

I would recommend it as a disposable cell phone. If this got lost on vacation you would not care.

Here is what is missing from the description:

Put a piece of Scotch tape on your SIM card before inserting it or you will have a very hard time getting it back out.

The Mini USB (not micro, like all phones use today) port on the side is for charging only, no USB connectivity. The included charger is a joke (5V @ 300 MA).

The battery is not removable or user replaceable.

There is no flashlight. ("Torch Light" in the description I will have to assume is referring to the orange back-light for the LCD display)

The FM Radio requires the use of the included headphones because instead of a standard stereo mini plug, the headphones plug into the Mini USB port.

If you lose the headphones (you should) the FM Radio will not work. Also the FM Radio will drain the battery in about 4 hours.

The display is a 3 line monochrome LCD. Because of this, menus are difficult to navigate and texting would be nearly impossible.

It will hold all your contacts, but you will have to transfer them over by manually inputting the information using the 3 line LCD and the number pad.

Call quality was fine. Signal was good. But for the same price you could buy a used phone off of craigslist that would have many more features. My recommendation for this phone is to manually put in your most important contacts, charge up the battery, turn it off and throw it in a drawer. The battery SHOULD hold a charge for about 18 months.

This phone is probably the worst I have ever owned. I cannot wait to get a new one, because this one is so bad. First of all. There is no screen on the front which is just annoying because you can't see who is calling you or what time it is until you flip the thing open. I get horrible reception everywhere I go, and zero reception in a lot of places. The phone I had before was fine in those same areas. There is no predictive text for text messaging which makes sending a short message a tedious chore. The back cover falls off everyday. Over all it looks nice, but when you get down to it, its just not practical considering all the other phones out there. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Overall a decent cheap phone, however there are a few things that bother me.

1) No external screen to see incoming caller ID and no external time display

2) FM reciever is cool but it requires the headset to be plugged in to get reception so even if you want it on speaker the head set nedds to be available.

3) The feel of the buttons are very numb, tough to tell if a button was actually pressed or not, not a big deal for dialing but in games it kinda sucks.

4)Over all the phone has the awkward feel of the first in the RAZR series and really I don't like that, it's thin sure..but they make up for it in making the just a little too wide for my tastes.

5) Reception is ok.... so far it is getting the same reception range my old v220 did with a cracked antenna. Not impressive for a phone that is a much newer release.

Again these are just the things I was disappointed with and if these things don't bother you then I am sure it will make a good phone for you. But for me I was a little disappointed. It met my expectations but it certainly did not exceed them in any area.

Worst! Worst! Worst! I wouldn't buy this phone for a toddler if I had to... I'm serious! It's reeeeeaaaally slow, sluggish, less than a half MB of available memory, the volume goes and comes, has to charge every day, if it goes off for whatever reason, then it's hells to get it back on at times, I'll type a text message then have to wait and watch the letters come up one by one seconds after like an old typewriter... and I can go on but I wont. I am not trying to pull down the phone, but I really can't find any whistles to lend it. It's really horrible. Buy at your own risk, but if you should ever ask my opinion, I'll tell you plainlyNO! Oh, there is one pro (lol)--> the design is not bad, cute. Lol.

This thing is pretty nice because if the power goes out it'll automatically reset to the correct time (either the one set at the factory or the one that you've tweaked, if the factory preset was a bit off). It's not atomic, but it's the next best thing. The radio comes in pretty good too, depending on how you have the antenna positioned (the FM antenna is built into the power cable, and the AM antenna is an iron rod built into the case). It keeps the time when the power is out by way of a small lithium "button" battery. The instructions say that, depending on how long it was on the shelf at the store, the battery could last up to 5 years and that when it does get low a light will flash in the bottom-right corner to alert you. It can even be set to awake you at different times set by you on weekdays or weekends, although the process to do this is a bit convoluted, but if you read the instructions carefully it's easy enough. You can set the alarm to wake you up by way of the radio, or a beeping noise. The beep should awaken even the heaviest of sleepers (after all, it wakes me up). The instructions say that the beeping will rise in volume until you press the alarm button to reset it until the same time next day, or until you press the snooze button to make it sound again in 8 or 9 minutes (can't remember the exact number). Just make sure you don't press the snooze button 7 times or it will NOT sound again until the next day! So keep track of how many times you push the snooze button, get up the first time or risk oversleeping. Overall, this is a very nice, affordable alarm clock. I must also say that the instructions are very informative and easy to understand.

I want an alarm clock that's easy to read, change the wake up time and find the snooze. I don't need any bells and whistles and this does everything that I need just right. It's easy to see and the buttons are so easy to use that I change the wake up time after the lights are out and I'm laying in bed. My wife purchased one that is very noisy so I've tossed that one out. I have another much older one but it's hard to read.

I purchased this clock based on its good reviews. While it was very easy to set up (great that it sets the time itself), the "radio" function on the alarm would never come on. The buzzer worked, but we don't like waking to a buzzer. I returned it and requested another one, figuring the first was just defective. The second one turned out to be dysfunctional as well. The "radio" alarm did work on this one -sometimes. It did not always come on when set (even at the same time/settings every weekday). I'm not going to try a third...call me silly, but I kind of expect an alarm clock to wake me up!

I ordered 2 of the same clock. One seems to be working fine and the other failed from the start. The automatic time set feature did not work, was off by several hours and minutes. The time zone button didn't work and neither did the alarm button (allows one to set the alarm). I am returning it for an exchange.

The one that functions properly is a nice little clock. The main reason I purchased was for the ability to set to only alarm during the week or weekends. This is great for my kids that sometimes forget to switch on the alarm Sunday nights.

Hopefully this was a fluke and there is nothing wrong with the next unit.

**UPDATE**

Received the replacement unit and the auto time set feature does NOT work properly. Gets everything but the minutes correct. It's off by 7 minutes. These clocks are JUNK. Don't waste your time or money. I am actually going to keep this unit and just manually adjust the time rather than spend the time to pack the piece of crap back up and run another one to the post office.

I must admit I do like the compact style, and the auto set function of this clock. However, when going to set the alarm, you cannot adjust the time by minutes/hours, instead you have to cycle forwards or backwards through the 24 hour time span to get to the desired time you wish to set it for. This can be frustrating if you have a schedule that changes constantly requiring you to set your alarm for crazy odd hours all of the time.

I have been having a great deal of fun with the Tao xm2go. I even look forward to the daily jog! No more horrible music from broadcast stations. No more listening to my limited library of music. Easy to carry. Don't like the earbuds.....but they do have an inline volume switch. Any other standard headphones will fit it so I'll probably use some others. Nice to have a large disply. The buttons are easy to understand. Each button nicely lights up and is easy to read in the dark. Designed very well. The Tap XM2Go is about the best you can get for portable XM. It seems to be much more rugged than the other portables. I expect this to be a long-lived unit. Case looks like it can take some punishment.

The number of accessories included with the Tao XM2Go means that you're not going to be spending more on essentials to get you going. It includes both home and car kits, both of which are very complete. The home kit includes charging cradle, AC adaptor (with an innovative brick that doesn't block unused outlets), XM antenna w/ 25 foot cord, earbuds, a soft case w/ belt-loop, remote control w/ batteries, audio cable, and a snap-on portable stand. The car kit has car power adaptor, car cradle, car antenna, swivel mount, flush mount, vent mount, cell phone mount, cleaning kit, and an alcohol prep pad. I don't think any of the other units come with as complete accessories. This guy is ready to go.

Nice features include built-in FM modulator so you can broadcast to any FM radio, both in the car and at home. This works very well, but a direct connection sounds better. It also can record up to five hours of encoded audio. You can either record instantly (actually starts a couple of seconds after you press the button) or you can schedule a recording. Unfortunately, you have to have the unit turned off to schedule recording. Also, too bad you can't plug in an SD memory card to expand the amount you can record. Oh well, maybe the next model.

The controls and the remote control are easy to use. There are so many features that it takes a little practice but the learning curve isn't too bad. A little trial and error after error gets you through it. The manual could be a bit more descriptive, but it isn't bad considering that it is quite small. The only complaint I have is entering numbers on the unit is cumbersome. The remote control has a much better control layout.

There is no battery charge indication while the unit is charging. Tao claims five hours on a charge. I haven't had it enough to test this. If you use this unit mostly as a base/car unit, that should be plenty. I like the idea of using it outdoors on its batteries w/o an external antenna. My cursory testing shows that this works fairly well as long as the path to the satellite isn't blocked too badly. It would be nice if the unit had "skip protection" for those cases when connection is intermittent.

I rated this guy five stars because it is probably the top of the line. My review of competing units lead me to conclude that the Tao XM2Go was the most rugged and had the best features. If you want an XM radio, this one certainly should fit the bill. It's incredibly adaptable.

I live in New Orleans and FM radio choices became very limited after the hurricane. So after months of audio purgatory I made the plunge and subscribed to XM.

WOW. XM is great and the Tao XM2Go works like a charm.

I connect the Tao to my belt and take it everywhere. I didn't even bother hooking up the car receiver. I just sit the little fellow on my dashboard and use the headphones. Reception is fine. It does lose the signal when you go under power line or an overpass, but it's only out for a fraction of a second.

There are a few minor things about it that I don't like though. 1) It takes a few tries and some maneuvering to attach the Tao to the charging base. Things just don't seem to lineup right. 2) The carrying case covers the LCD display and the control buttons. It would be nice if there were an opening that would allow access to the control panel without pulling it completely out of the case. 3) The head phones are painful 4) Control are stiff and a little difficult to work (especially when driving). I now leave the Tao's remote control in the car and use the remote to change the station.

Also TAO has apparently gotten the message about the battery problems. I purchased mine on March 12, and there was a replacement battery taped to the inside of the box.

Tao xm2go is a great satellite receiver for music lovers. The five hour record feature makes the receiver similar in function to an m3p player. The antenae for the home base allowed reception through an exterior south facing wall. The only drawback is the reception on the unit is spotty without an external antenae.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and then offered to install it. I will cop to being less than gifted in the technology department. Still, some think me an intelligent woman. It took me HOURS to install this in his car. The instructions were so vague I had to figure it out through trial and error. Things got better when I decided to put the antenna at the back of the car and run the wire through the trunk and under the carpet to the bottom of the dash. Also, I followed the advice of another reviewer who said to use the remote for programming the preset buttons. He was so right.

It was all worth it. This is such a great product. I was worried about the reception in our semi-rural locale. It is better than I hoped for. I will say that the signal is not strong enough to listen to live with headphones, but who needs that when you can record five hours of programming?

I researched a lot before making this purchase. For the money, I think this is the best and most versatile XM receiver on the market.

I was shopping for a projection clock for a while, reading reviews, etc. But then I got this one, which had no reviews. Why? It was twice cheaper, and I assumed it couldn't be twice worse.

So far I haven't been mistaken. For $12 you get 2 clocks and an alarm radio. Not bad.

Notes:

1. Like many other projection clocks out there, the projection clock is independent from the one on the unit display, so you need to set both. It seems ridiculous, but could be a feature, if for some reason you need two different times set.

2. The projection clock is more flexible in settings. You can have 12 or 24-hour style of time display and have it alternate between time and date, if you'd like. Personally, I find alternation flashing annoying, and I don't really need to be reminded of the date every 3 seconds or so. The main unit clock only shows time and only 12 am/pm style.

3. The projection image is a little weak, but good for full darkness. You can't see it, if you have a night lamp on. But then there's the main unit screen. On the plus side, the image is not disturbingly bright at night.

4. Maybe it's my locality, but AM reception is way more clear than FM. I could not get any reasonable reception from FM at all.

5. There's a battery back up, and the projector image stays on constantly (or could be switched off entirely).

6. The setting of the time(s) is not very intuitive. I had to look at the instructions.

I haven't tried alarm.

In summary, this is a great deal for the money.

I had wanted a projection clock for quite some time. I decided on this one after reading the reviews. I didn't need anything fancy; I only wanted to be able to look at the ceiling in the middle of the night to see the time. Admittedly, I missed the one important line the "technical details" section: "Projects time on wall at the touch of a button". The projection only works after hitting the snooze button, then it fades to off in 5 seconds. If I'm going to turn over to hit the snooze button to see the time on the wall/ceiling, it defeats the purpose of having the projection feature. Now we just have an extra clock/radio in the house.....I'm not paying shipping to return it.

I bought this so that I can tell the time when lying down in bed and look up at the ceiling. But for that purpose it does not do a good job. The projection light is very weak and the numbers do not show very well at more than 5 feet. There is a focus ring on the side for refocusing the beam but that did not help much.

And oh one more thing. You have to set the clock up two times. Once for the main clock and then again for the projection. They seem to be two different clocks which was kind of weird.

I purchased this to replace an Oregon Scientific projection alarm clock. My projection was losing digits, and generally becoming less and less useful.

I am sorry to have done so.

The clock I received was VERY clearly used, and used well. The case was scratched and gouged, and it even had the marks from a screwdriver where someone tried to open the case.

I was ticked about that, but determined to at least see if I liked it the replace or return conundrum. So, I plugged it in, and set the alarm... which I barely heard. I couldn't tune in a station very well, but that was my only hope for an audible alarm, and it failed.

I will allow that since mine was SO beat up, it could have been broken, but I was so fed up with the whole ordeal I just didn't care anymore. The saddest part, for me anyway, is that I purchased it from Amazon.comnot some other joker listing his, but Amazon itself. The only nice part is I got free shipping out, and I don't think I had to eat anything for the return trip.

All in all, steer clear on this monster.

I bought this for a Chinese Christmas gift and fortunately I got it. I have been wanting a projection clock. This is the perfect projection clock. I was afraid it might project too small on the ceiling or too bright. I had always had to raise up in bed to see over my husband to be able to see what time it was. Not anymore. I just look up at the ceiling and find out what time it is. I don't use the radio alarm clock so I can't speak about that but I absolutely love the projection clock.

What I think it should be different but does not bother me much:

It will not allow you to see the clock during your commute for longer than 10 seconds, it will switch back to either the station or the song's name (if you're USB, AUX or MMC), it should allow you to see the clock or the music information to your choice.

It won't display the names of the songs completely, it has a character limit.

Hard plastic makes it feel cheap, but it certainly does not look cheap at all.

Screen should be brighter during sunlight, you can barely see the information if it's a very sunny day. It looks gorgeous at night though.

It will read the music via USB/AUX/MMC based on how they are ordered in the card or device.

What I dislike about it:

After a proper installation, every time I accelerate with the car, it makes a whistling noise. I was not paying much attention to it at the beginning, but now it's starting to be very annoying.

I purchased the XO Vision XD103 to replace the radio in my Jeep CJ7. I chose this radio due to its small profile which is necessary for a CJ7 replacement. The depth of the radio is about half that of others making it ideal for a CJ7. After having problems with another low priced radio I took a chance on this one. I'm glad I did. This radio was simple to hook up, had all the necessary parts and so far has worked great. By no means is this a top of the line radio but it does it's job well at a low price. If you have a vehicle with a very small space to accommodate a radio such as a CJ7 and don't need a super fancy sound system, this is a great option.

Sony Ericsson LT15a Xperia Arc Unlocked Phone with Android 2.3 and 4.2-Inch Multi-Touch Display--U.S

I previously owned an Experia X10 which I was content with as my first smart phone venture but after purchasing the Experia Arc, I can clearly see how flawed the X10 is. I won't go into the X10's problems since this is a review for the Arc. So that being said, will break down the review in categories. Looks, Software and Performance.

LooksOne sexy sleek phone hands down and one of the best looking phones on the market. The phone is super slim and the arc in the back actually adds to the sleekness. The back of the phone looks black but looking closely at it you can see it goes from a dark blue to a dark grey silver tone. But you have to look very close. The screen is beautiful at 4.2 inches and the sides of the phone are a chrome color which makes this phone look very classy and heavy, yet it's not heavy at all and pretty light.

SoftwareA huge flaw of the x10 was the lack of updates and an ancient android operating system. I am happy to say this phone comes with the latest 2.3 gingerbread operating system which includes flash for pc like web surfing, more stability, pinch zoom and the ability to download the latest apps requiring the latest operating system. Sony Ericsson has also perfected their skins and proprietary merged os. The system is much more responsive as well.

PerformanceAs stated before, this phone is stable, smooth and pretty quick. Sony is touting it's display as a display infused with their bravia engine technology which in short is just a gimick in terms of the home screen but does improve the picture in the camera and video departments. I compared the x10 with this and found very little difference in the home screen but the camera function is clearly better on this set and better than other phones I have compared. Still the samsung oled and iphone retina displays are still the best in the business. Even so the camera display comes pretty close to those phones.

On a side note, the recharging on this phone is super fast! about half an hour to an hour and it's fully recharged. 15 minutes and it's and it's 30 percent recharged. The standby time is also really good and impressed with the life of the batter during constant internet use.

I bought this phone unlocked and it only works on AT&T's network but definitely worth the price and piece of mind knowing i'm not held on contract anymore. Wonderful phone and kind of like that this phone isn't offered widely in the US as it's very unique and gets lots of looks. It seems like the whole world has an iphone these days and I feel like I have something most people don't, and I do. :)

Quick Update: As of 11/7/11 my phone still working like a champ. I just wanted to update everyone on a recent update for the phone. The update provides slight improvements such as advanced face book integration, screen capture, Zoom in HD camera 3D capability, new themes, icon pics in created files, better recording sound and speaker volume. The only updates I found any interest in was the screen capture which is a great feature to have and the zoom on HD camera. Otherwise all other updates just okay. The 3D capability sucks, All it does is allow you to take 3D pics in panorama view but in order to view it in 3d you need a 3D capable tv along with the 100 dollar glasses! Either way, it's nice to get some updates as giving it's unlocked status I thought I would'nt get any updates.

The LT15A Xperia Arc (Anzu) is simply amazing, this 1GHz single core processor holds its own against many of the current dual cores out there, even beating the SG SII in some areas. Its construction feels rock solid, and there are plenty of after market cases, accessories and mods on the internet for very cheap.

There is however some bad news, the stock Sony apps and Sony bloatware weigh the handset down immensely. Your apps, the ones you actually want to run, are constantly competing for system resources with the stock Sony apps which are constantly running in the background, needlessly hogging resources and gobbling up precious battery life. The Sony apps for the most part are not removable, and insist on residing in the tiny phone memory as opposed to the massive SD card, making life a constant battle to keep enough room free for daily operations.

Luckily there is also some good news, there is a replacement Android firmware called Cyanogenmod that is offered for free. Cyanogenmod replaces the stock Sony Android system, allowing you total control over the apps and many other previously restricted customization features. The catch is that you must unlock the handset's bootloader, thus voiding the warranty from the manufacturer. If you plan to do this, it is a good idea to wait a few months at least until you're reasonable satisfied you didn't receive a lemon. It is also recommended that you have a moderate level of technical expertise to perform this operation, as if not you may end up rendering your handset inoperable while in the process of voiding your warranty.

I literally hated this handset until I removed the Sony software, the Sony apps were so intrusive, obnoxious and persistent, it made me want to chuck it out the window on more than one occasion. After installing Cyanogenmod, the Arc went from being a mediocre and mildly frustrating smartphone to full fledged superphone. Apps that used to take thirty seconds to open now take ten. There is so much space on the internal handset memory I can load it up with all my most frequently used programs for faster access. The battery lasts many hours longer on standby, and can now sustain heavy internet use all day instead of just half a day as it did before.

To sum it all up, if you're someone who isn't interested in heavy customization and just wants a smartphone that works smoothly out of the box, buy an iPhone or a BB. However if you are someone who is interested in a pocket sized supercomputer and doesn't mind a bit of hassle to get it up and running properly, the Xperia Arc is an excellent choice.

The bad: time battery life is very short, this disadventage by far all the virtues of this cell.

The high resolution camera makes this phone better than the stand-alone camera I already had. This phone also includes programs that noticeably boost the sound and image capabilities. Everything else has been aesthetically improved and additional Ericsson created apps turn the phone into a wholly integrated social device. Yet, all of the modifications do not interfere with the capabilities of the phone. You are still free to modify and fiddle with it to your hearts content. This device does what it claims to do and more. I'm looking to do a road trip so I may do another review. What I have tested so far is how well the device transmits from my sony a track hard disc drive. (like a mp3 player but better) As soon as you turn the device on it sets its self to 88.10 which in California where I live is a static station. I set my tuner to 88.10 while device is on before hooking up my music player and I get absolute silence. Not even a humming noise from speaker what so ever. I plug in my music player while it was already on and the crisp clear sound came threw my radio like a charm. It was so crystal clear I was almost astonished. I then took my device out of the room into another room. The quality had not been effected. I will probably test ow far I can go before the device starts to lose its signal. If your using this for your car there is no need to worry about distance from this device and how well it transmits for it can be anywhere in your car with out any loss of transmission. For fun I decided to set the tuner to 98.5 which is a well known station called 98 rock. The device completely overrides the signal of the official station. Just think anyone listening to there favorite station pulling up next to you while the device is set to the station there listening to. You could force other people to listen to your music. Ok that might be a bit wrong and it should be set to a static station so you do not bother others with your music but it could be a fun prank to pull in your friends car especially if you change the frequency to what ever they change it to every time they change it.

So I bought this item from an FYE store, should have returned it the next day. It could be where I live but there are NO open channels. And the strength of the signal? Terrible! I have a couple presets saved and even those channels over power this device. I spent $30 on it my last one went to 87s where there are no channels that cost me $20 and was better than this. It was a Griffin same design without the useless features.

I bought one of these and ended up giving it to my sister for a road trip. I then ordered a second. I had troubles with it from day 1. Could not turn it off, so it would drain the batteries completely. Even plugging it in didn't help. I couldn't get it tuned, and with it draining the batteries over night, it wouldn't store the channel once I did get it set. The one I gave my sister fell apart a few days after her road trip. Very disappointed in this item.

I love the Kaito KA1107 analog portable radio. This is the best paperback-size radio I have ever owned.

This radio is most stellar on the FM band. I get stations loud and clear 65 miles away using the internal whip antenna. The reception exceeds any of my radios. Sensitivity and selectivity rival that of a good FM receiver. The antenna rotates and angles down for optimum reception of vertically, horizontally and mixed polarized FM antennas, allowing more stations to be heard clearly. This radio is rated at less than 5 MV FM sensitivity, and i do believe it.

SW and MW sensitivity and selectivity rival that of larger radios on the market. MW stations during the day come in loud and clear. Nighttime reception is sensitive across the band, though AM suffers from selective fading and man-made interference. I cannot honestly rate reception on the individual SW bands. I rarely use SW any more, due to man-made interference, selective fading and the low sunspot count.

The sound quality of the Kaito 1107 is a big surprise, with the two-step tone control offering room-filling audio. The two-step tone control logically selects between music and voice reception.

The side-mounted knob provides velvet tuning which a joy to turn, unlike many of the cheap Chinese-made radios on the market today.The three-step sensitivity control is useless except on SW. The large band-switch knob on the side of the radio is a joy. The volume control is recessed, protecting the radio in case of a fall, and is a good feature.

The clock, power, tone, and sensitivity buttons are poorly laid out and not suited for the less dexterous. The buttons are small and the labels are hard see for anybody with a visual impairment. I've placed masking tape with large-print writing to remedy reading some of the controls on the face of the radio.

You may buy this radio with confidence. The price is right for the value.Arthur.

For the price you can't do better than this nice little portable radio. I was initially looking for a portable to fulfill an interest I had for a "ultralight DX" radio, but felt the current crop of highly-rated high performance ultralights wouldn't be a very good choice since most were never intended to be exported out of China (i.e. 240V power supplies, Chinese instructions, hard-to-decipher controls, etc.). I was about to give up & wait for awhile, when I stumbled across this little gem. For the price it can't be beat. AM mediumwave sensitivity is phenomenal, which is exactly what I was looking for. Tuning is very sharp, with no overload problems detected, and even though I occasionally hear a strong local 50kw AM station over my telephone lines it doesn't seem to bother this radio. FM sensitivity is equally good, although the FM band is somewhat compressed since the scale covers both US and foreign FM bandplans. Shortwave seems very good as well, with amazingly good audio received from some AM amateur radio operators on both 80m and 40m with the built-in whip antenna (note though that these are the only two ham bands this radio covers, since they lie near two commercial shortwave bands). The bass response from the small speaker is exceptional when the appropriate switch is placed in the "bass" mode. And finally, a dial light that will stay on until you turn it off! (You can even turn in on while the radio is off). Battery life also seems to be very long even when using the light all the time (it imparts a very nice warm glow to the dial). Are there any shortcomings? Sure after all, it is analog, so frequency determination will just be a guesstimate, but after all isn't that what makes it fun? The tuning is a little "spongy", with some dial backlash, so you tend to need to "rock the dial" back & forth to center in on the signal, but at least the dial moves very smoothly so this is quite easy. The numbers on the dial could be a little bigger, and the green numbers could be a brighter color, but some of that is probably my 50 year old eyes. And SSB reception would certainly be nice for the ham bands, but would probably add considerably to the price. Overall, it just can't be beat for price vs. performance, and easily beats all of my vintage transistor radios for ultralight portable AM DX, and blows away my Sony ICF-SW100 in the same arena (although the Sony can do much more, it isn't nearly the mediumwave AM DX machine that this is).

I've been meaning to replace my old shortwave since the tuner broke, but it took me several years to get around to it. I checked out the available products and decided for the use I would give it, I didn't want to spend a fortune. I found this little radio on Amazon and thought the reviews looked promising and investigated other online review sources and overall thought it was worth the risk of buying something with audio completely unheard. Glad I bought it. I'm pleased with the sound. The radio is about the size of a paperback book with a dial tuner. The controls are quite small as some of the other reviewers have noted, but this isn't really a serious problem for most users. I have been able to pick up a few shortwave stations and lots of decent FM and MW channels with good reception. The radio has some nice features--the battery recharger, the clock and backlight, and the dial tuner, as I very definitely did not want digital only. I found the function buttons easy to use and figure out--honestly, it's a pretty straight-forward radio, not brain surgery or anything. Sound quality was good, price was good. It was shipped right away and I got it three days later. I'm very satisfied.

...if you can find it at a reasonable pice. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is a bit of a joke. Pioneer is selling it directly to consumers at less than half the MSRP, and I found it at my local big box members-only store for 70% off MSRP. I bought it on impulse, and I'm keeping it despite my three-star review, because I like it and I have the technical skill and patience to manage its ease-of-use issues.

If you want to get the maximum value for the features of this product, you had better be a geeky sort of gadget enthusiast, or have such a person handy. To wit:

* Bluetooth audio is neat, but setting up the connection is not a task Aunt Susie is ready for. And you'll probably never guess how to put it into pairing mode. "No device connected, press play to pair" in the display would have helped.

* Internet radio is neat, but it has a small screen and a clunky interface for browsing available stations. You can add custom stations to your radio by registering at a special website. That's neat, but not for the technologically meek.

* It has two distinct systems for bookmarking Internet radio stations. And the buttons on the remote for accessing these systems are labeled "CLASS," "T.EDIT," "PGM" and "CLEAR." I had to read the manual to understand how they work, and I'll have to spend 10 minutes explaining to my wife how to listen to NPR with this radio. This is a particularly disappointing shortcoming.

* Internet radio is achieved via a 10/100 ethernet connection. That's cool, but WiFi would have been nice.

* Since this is marketed to Apple people, it would be good if Apple's "it just works" AirPlay technology was supported. I imagine it is possible for this feature to be added via a firmware update, but I am not optimistic this will ever happen. That's a pity: this would easily be a four-star product with AirPlay support.

* It has the ability to wake you up in the morning. But setting this up is not trivial, and I suspect it doesn't make a reliable alarm clock. I won't be using it this way.

* Here's now you know you're in the future: this thing doesn't even have an FM tuner. Who needs radio: we have the Internet!

* It claims you can plug it into your "HDTV" to display photos or YouTube videos stored on your iPhone. This is accomplished using a composite video connector, which is guaranteed to look rather poor on an HDTV. Don't buy this for its video capabilities.

* Its support for DLNA is nice. But Apple doesn't have any interest in DLNA, so you can't use this feature to get access to your iTunes library, which is probably what you want if you're considering an Internet-enabled iPod/iPhone-compatible radio like this. Instead you have to set up a separate DLNA media server on a computer on your network and that's not something just anybody can (or wants to) do. Again, AirPlay support would make this a non-issue for the customers Pioneer is obviously targeting with this product (namely, Apple people).

* It has no battery backup for the clock. And even though it's on the Internet, it doesn't know how to use NTP to set its clock automatically.

* Most of the radio's features cannot be accessed without the remote. The designers probably felt fewer buttons on the unit would make it more attractive. I agree, but I still think it was the wrong decision.

Enough criticism. Here's what I like about this product:

* Two docks for iPhones/iPods. That's pretty neat. It can crossfade in shuffle mode between each one. That's kind of silly, but might be cool for parties or something.

* The sound quality is adequate, especially for its size. Unless you have very high standards, this can fill your room with music or news.

* Its fit-and-finish is quite good. It's a very attractive product.

* Although the setup process wasn't as easy as your Mom might like, it's really great to be able to listen to podcast or Internet radio stations on this. Our local NPR station's program stream sounds great, and no more FM static.

* If you use this device to listen to music on your DLNA server or on a USB drive, it claims support for a wide variety of formats, including FLAC. I don't need FLAC support myself, but I suspect there are certain people who will appreciate the device's wide format support.

* It doesn't specifically claim to support the iPhone 4, but it works fine.

So to summarize, it's a cool radio that--just like me as a schoolchild--doesn't quite live up to its potential. If you can find it at a bargain price, go for it.

12/9/2011 Edited to add: Pioneer has just announced the X-SMC3-S Music Tap and X-SMC4-K Elite Music Tap, each of which has WiFi and AirPlay support. They'll be available in October but not at blowout prices.

Once I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 6, the unit started displaying 'Unable to Communicate'. Bluetooth no longer works either. I have 2 of these XW-NAC3-Ks, they both fail in the same way. Emailed Pioneer customer support on the issue and I have not received any response at all after a week. Thumbs down on the product and thumbs down to Pioneer in general for not replying to customer inquiries.

I've been using this for last 3 weeks and I can really say that this dock has a superior quality of sound with a good build quality. I have 2 ipods, and so far I only tested with my ipod touch 3rd generation and some little issues I could realize. If I turn off the ipod, and stay with the dock turned on, the ipod stays flashing turning on and turning off. Another issue is if I turn off the dock and the ipod attached in it, the ipod don't get charging, ipod just charges if the dock is turned on. But beyond that is an excellent double dock with quality materials used in construction and a very good sound and refined as it is inherent in Pioneer.

I have had this XW-NAC3-K Pioneer unit for about 3 months and am very pleased with its function. Now, it is not going to fill a room with orchestra quality sound like large speakers will. But it is very capable as a bedroom, kitchen, or small to midsize room music system.

Yes you can dock 2 iPods or iPhones to it and listen to music for hours depending on your music files but I think the unit has other strengths beyond this.

The best part is built in Bluetooth capability. This makes for easy syncing from an iPad or smartphone from across the room. Then you are free from the docking port. Works well with a Pandora app also or any other smartphone music app wirelessly.

It also will play internet radio stations or network music but it must have a direct Ethernet connection to your home network since there is no built in Wifi.

Don't dismay if your home is not fully wired with CAT5e or the most advance CAT6 jacks and switches. Netgear makes a nice wireless bridge that can establish a WiFi connection between the Pioneer unit and your wireless router. Powerline adapters that use your home electrical wiring might also be an option but I have not tried these.

Scrolling through internet radio stations is done by geographic location or alphabetical by country or music type. It is not the most convenient but you get used to it. This is more hit and miss but when you find a station you like you can easily save it to a "Favorites" folder.

Since the display screen is small you only see a few lines of text. No album art can be displayed.

If you have music files on a network drive the device also will recognize them. You can scroll by artist name or album. iTunes files are not playable via a networked Apple computer as far as I can tell.

If you are looking for a music system that can play internet music from around the world plus have Bluetooth and iPhone (iPod), and other network music play this is a good unit for under $200.00 now. I would not pay more than this.

The sound is good but not great. Best for small to mid size rooms but not for any cavernous dance hall.

This car deck has many great features, yet what good is it if the deck doesn't work properly. For one, the face off plate does not snap in easy at all. It almost feels you have to force it in. Secondly, why does a stereo needs a reset button?!! I had problems with some buttons which were doing something they shouldn't, as if it was programed wrong. For example the volume knob was also a button to scroll between the bass and trebel... well each time I pushed the button, it would turn up the stereo. I hit the rest button, yet it didn't work. In my experience, a deck that has a reset button must have problems from the get go! I had to return two of these brand new decks due to malfunctions. I don't suggest this deck at all!

Lastly, it's difficlut to read the screen. My dash slants slighty which causses a slight glare. There is no brightness control at all.

I also found that the face plate was a little difficult to snap in. This doesn't bother me as I'll never take it out. The radio was a snap to install and it worked just fine the first time. All the features work. One thing; when you first start up the unit, make sure you put it in stereo mode. It took me 15 minutes to figure out why my left speakers weren't working. I love the bluetooth. The sound is great over the speakers and the microphone picks up your voice just fine. Unlike other brands, you cannot call for tech help if you run into a problem. There is no phone number to call in the instructions.

Purchased this radio on April 10 2012,received it on or about April the 18th.Installed it the next day and it played great except,if the key was turned off and then turned right back on the radio would not turn on until the reset button was pushed,which was aggravating,but not worth taking it out.But on July 12th.i backed the car out of the garage shut it off went back in the house,when i came back out and started the car,no radio,so i pushed the reset button but nothing.it was dead,so i removed the radio after checking the fuses to see if a wire was broken.no broken wire,everything was as it should be but the radio was dead,no power,still no power,so i reinstalled my old radio which works fine.So take my advice if you are thinking of buying a new radio for your ride DO NOT buy a PYLE.they are junk.this page will not let me finish until i rate the item so i gave it one star but i would not have given it any if this would have finished without it.

This radio was DOA and Amazon quickly replaced it with another radio. A few months later the Radio had a mechanical failure that was beyond repair and I could not return it to amazon because it was outside the return window. This was a terrible radio from the start and I regret this purchase.
