iSound DreamTime Pro FM Clock Radio

  • Clock syncs with iPhone clock
  • AUX input for other music devices

This clock is great. A great color for my teenage daughter and just the right size for her dresser. I really like the fact that it charges her iphone as well. A good buy.

Looks good and sound quality fairly good for size. My 6 yo daughter loved the way it looked and the hot pink color.

However, 12/24 hr. switch on back of clock did not function properly and clock only kept military time.

Also, when playing music from ipod, the music would just stop and cut in and out. Had difficulty playing ipod 4 touch music continuously.

Despite description stating that it was compatible with ipod 4 itouch, the ipod would show "this device not compatible".

Has potential but there are bugs present so beware.

I am returning.

Sony CMT-FX300i Micro Hi-Fi System 10 W - iPod Dock

Sony CMT-FX300i Micro Hi-Fi System 10 W - iPod Dock
  • Amplifier -
  • 2 x 5 watts RMS
  • 1 analog audio input
  • DSGX Bass Amplifier
  • Headphone jack (3.5mm)

I am very pleased with this unit for the price, but that is because I am not using the speakers that came with it. I was looking for an inexpensive compact receiver, but it was less expensive to buy one that included speakers than to buy a stand-alone receiver. I am using this system in my kitchen and have the receiver tucked away in a cupboard, which works well.

The speakers that are included are not very good, even considering the price. But I did not need them because I have some spare speakers that are pretty good. The FX-3001 receiver drives them just fine (entry level B&W bookshelf speakers).

In terms of features, it has what I was looking for--CD/FM/ipod doc. The remote works the iPod Nano 5G pretty well. My only complaint is that it does not have the ability to "finger scroll" so it still requires manual fiddling with the Nano to access those functions.

The FM reception is adequate with the unipole antennae (as long as it is stretched out straight (about 3 feet). I haven't used the CD because the primary sources will be FM and the iPod.

Pros:

Great sound quality goes without saying with the brand name. I compared with Panasonic this is far better than that

Affordable Price

Cons:

iPhone connectivity it works thought it does mention it is not compatible. It switches it to Airplane mode I have not tried any further

Though the specs says other mp3 players can be connected through USB there is no USB port for connecting even site does mention about USB

CD if you stop and start it starts from the first song bit annoying as even the car cd players do start from where it was stopped earlier.

I did choose this for its sound quality it is small and gives a small hometheater effect. Could have been more smaller ..

I would have give a 5 if I am able to connect USB drives as it is mentioned in the specs.... rest GREAT I'm enjoying the music.

I bought this as I also wanted/needed the radio component. The iPod functions and sound are OK, but the radio settings and controls are a total misery. They are complex and easily lose their settings. I'm frustrated every time I try to use this for anything other than a dock for my iPod.

I bought this to replace an old Sony boombox. Its sound is better, not up to higher quality setups, but it didn't cost as much, either. Better speakers may have helped, these are small. At times the unit has a tinny sound to me, even when playing around with the equilizer, which is controlled on the remote, by the way. The FM wire doesn't seem to pick up stations very well even stretched out, I'll need to get a better wire or play around with it more. I like it, but do feel it's a bit overpriced compared with what one could get for $100 a few years back. Programming the FM pre-sets took a while as well. Have your magnifying glass when you do to read the sheet. Or maybe it's just me.

The speaker quality isn't that great...but overall it's a pretty dissent quality stereo for the price and size...good for a bedroom.

Sony AM/FM CD Clock Radio (Audio/Video/Electronics / Stereos)

Sony AM/FM CD Clock RadioI bought this clock-radio to replace an older one I had which had cracked speakers and a very bright un-dimmable clock face. This Sony has great sound, a good CD player, a reliable clock and alarm, and there are three setting for brightness--all of which met my wants and expectations.

This is a great radio to have in the bedroom. I listen to cd at night. Can wake up to cd and/or radio.

  • 100W total power - full range speakers
  • Universal dock for iPod - plays and charges iPod while docked
  • Clock/Timer function ? wake to Radio, CD, or iPod

I have had this system for a month now and I think it's great. I purchased a Sony ModelHCB-BX201 system a little over a year ago, which cost 40$ more than this RCA & the Sony is no where near as good in my opinion. If I have flourescent lights on I get static & interference with the Sony but not with the RCA I also have under the cabinet lights which creates a buzzing sound on the Sony but not the RCA.When I first set the Rca up my wife was in another room & she remarked how much better the Rca sounded than the Sony. All of this was done in the same place & room,so it was an apples to apples comparison. I took the Sony & put out in the garage where it won't be used as often. Both systems were purchased from Amazon, of which I have no complaints with, they only sell the product, they don't make it. I would definitely recommend the RCA. I have an RCA tv which I purchased in 1995 & it still has a great picture & knock on wood I have not spent a penny on repairs since I bought it.

I looked all over... but stopped looking when I found this because it was the ONLY unit on the market that gave me all of the features that I wanted and at a great price. I was NOT disappointed.

100W is plenty to power a party in the average size living room/kitchen area. The sound is clear and reasonably true (not tinny or boxy or like listening to a car radio). The notes in all ranges come across well. Also: It has a good remote control that works at a fair distance, the iPod plays and charges while docked, the clock has a timer function & wake to Radio, CD, or iPod. Tne unit also has 5 equalizer settings for different types of music.

The iPod dock works extremely well and this unit also has an input jack in case you have some other type of MP3 player or want to use another external source. It also has a headphone jack; which is great for use in a bedroom, dorm room or home office. Don't be fooled by the picture that makes it look like your iPod will sit in front of the control knob. That is actually a rocker switch and easily accessed with the iPod in place.

Sound is equally great from the iPod dock, CD player, audio line-in, and digital AM/FM radio. The unit comes with an AM loop antenna (for anyone who still listens to AM) and an FM antenna (a long wire). This unit is pretty good at tuning in and holding weaker FM stations in my area.

So, are there any cons? Well, yes. The blue LCD screen, which is your clock, is hard to read from an angle and the backlight that activates when the power comes on makes the display harder to read, not easier. The speaker wires are small gauge and look like they could break if the unit was knocked off the shelf (that's just my perception, not a fact). It would have been nice if the buttons were illuminated; they are a little hard to see if the unit is placed in a dark corner. My son overcomes that problem by using the remote control that comes with it instead of the buttons on the unit itself. Some may think the remote control, which is barely larger than a credit card, to be too small (easy to misplace) although the buttons are good sized and work well. Despite the 5 preset equalizer selections, the unit is a little heavier on the bass than other units on the market. Still, I'm a mid-range guy but the bass level doesn't bother me.

The unit case is made of heavy plastic and it feels solid, not cheap. I cannot speak to duribility yet because I have only had the unit a month... but so far so good.

As to the other reviews for this unit here on Amazon... The guy who did the one star review must have been reviewing the wrong model. His complaints were: it's not powerful (but it is), it has no audio input jack (which it does), and the bass was weak (the bass is a little excessive). The guys who made the 2 and 3 star reviews had no complaints about the unit so I don't understand their ratings. Okay, complete audiophiles may want to spend hundreds more for specific performance and are willing to berate this model, but for the rest of the world, this is the one to buy.

The bottom line is that I checked out several similar units and the only one that beat out this one in my opinion (more even sound balance across tthe entire treble/base spectrum) would have cost me 4 times what I paid for this one. All of the cons that I have listed here together might drop my rating to 4-3/4 stars if that were possible, but 5 stars is fine with me. That pretty much says it. I'd buy this again and I recommend it to you.

I bought this through Amazon.com because I found the best price there.

I bought this for my mother after spending some time researching shelf systems that have (1) a radio, (2) a CD player, and (3) an auxiliary input. Both of us were blown away by the quality of the sound. It's rich and crisp, with a surprising amount of bass. Think it isn't powerful enough? Then I suggest having your hearing checked, because this system easily fills the entire 2 bedroom w/basement house by a wide margin. It's probably capable of filling most houses. There are several EQ presets that are probably more than enough customization for the vast majority of people. I don't think there is too much bass as another reviewer mentioned, and I don't like an excessive amount. The styling is nice and the compact remote is a nice feature. The headphone jack is appreciated. The only improvements I can think of are a customizable EQ and a method of latching the speakers to the main unit for easier portability, but those are both nearly negligible. In a market that seems to have shrinked considerably this is a welcome product. Now if only something like it was still made in the USA.

This system is loud in a small room, but its not what I would consider "powerful" by any means.

CD player has been decent, but some CDs that are made on a computer skip from time to time.

Ipod doc would not work with iphone 4...I'm assuming a basic ipod would work which is a nice feature.

The remote is small but works from a good distance away.

Radio is decent depending on the channel.

Overall it's a decent product, it doesn't feel very sturdy, but for the price, it's what I expected. For a little more money, you probably get a lot more stereo.

Best things about this alarm clock:

The light on the screen has brightness settings that I can turn way up or all the way black, this is great for sleeping and waking up to practically use it as a night light. There are two alarm settings and they are easy to set. The buttons on the top and front are minimal and not complicated to find or use. The speakers on this were a surprise.... music comes through loud and clear, not tons of bass obviously but loud and clear. And for a little wire antenna that just hangs down, I get in all my local radio stations perfectly.

Also, probably the most important feature is that it has a battery in it so, when the power goes out, it stays on. The controller is responsive from weird angles, which I have to say, I've had other Pyle equipment where the controller wasn't very good so, I was happy about this one was worked.

The lighting settings, the speakers, easy alarm settings and the battery feature are the best things about this alarm clock. It looks great and is a very well thought out size for a night stand. Two thumbs up from me.

This is a much better alternative to most of the iPod clock radios I've tried in the past. The sound quality is excellent. I haven't had any problems with static when playing my iPod Touch...which was common with other brands. The controls are a little complicated and take some time getting used to. The one big discrepancy I want to point out is that this model does not have a color changing display. There are multiple settings for changing the brightness, but you cannot select different LCD colors. The display is a black background and white digits/symbols.

After researching other radio alarm clocks that also supported iPOD docking, found the PICL58 on Amazon. Placed order for the unit as a Christmas present. My daughter was absolutely thrilled with the radio alarm clock. The size is perfect for placing on her night stand, and produces good quality sound and volume. The remote control is nice addition, and convient for controlling the radio tuning and control the volumme from across the room.

I'm always looking for cool gadgets, and this one fit the bill. There are so many of these systems to choose from, and i really liked the looks of this one, plus it was small enough to fit on my night stand. I am very please with it. The clock is easy to read when you just opened your eyes and they are kind of blurry. The sound is good and it is very easy to use.

This alarm clock is just awesome. Love the ipod dock, never seen an alarm clock that had this, so I had to try it, and I'm glad I did, perfect! Love the gradual wake up, and blackout option with lighting, can't sleep with any light in the room. Hopefully, this will be the last alarm clock I ever buy, I love it!

I needed to replace an old HP deskjet that I've had for more than 5 years that finally decided to stop working properly. I did a lot of research online and quickly got very caught up with all of these massive all-in-one devices that had way more functionality than I would ever need. If you are like me and just need a home printer to print the occasional directions/maps, recipes, coupons, bills, etc., then this is definitely the printer for you.

Before you buy a printer online you need to go to a store and see just how large these all-in-one devices actually are. My wife took one look at them and told me there is no way that is going in our home office even if it also served as a micro fridge and coffee maker. The great thing about this HP 3050 is that it has a much smaller footprint than most all-in-one printers. It has print, copy, and scan functionality, but no fax. Who needs a fax these days anyways when you can just scan a file and then email the scanned document. Most devices don't have a fax out capability anyways so unless you are operating a business out of your house and you receive a lot of faxes the lack of fax on this model should not be a problem.

The printer is not too heavy and it's packaged really well in the box. Instead of being wrapped in styrofoam it is secured with recycled cardboard and wrapped in a reusable canvas bag that you can use for your groceries. It comes with a quick installation guide, as most HP printers do, and the set up went very smoothly with no problems. There is one piece of cardboard wedged inside near the ink cartridges that I missed, but the printer told me of my error and it was easy enough to remove.

Setting up wireless was also not a problem, but you will need to be familiar with your wireless network security settings in order to get the printer connected. An alternative is just using the USB cable, which is nicely included in the box. I haven't played around with web printing yet, but it's not hard to just plug the USB cable into my desktop or laptop and print what I need.

The only negative I can think of is that the printing is a bit loud, but unless you're keeping the printer in the room with the baby crib the noise isn't THAT loud that it would be a dealbreaker. Ink consumption so far is not noticeably different than my prior HP, but I don't print all that much all that often so this is tough to measure for me.

Overall a high quality printer with all the functionality non business users would need with a smaller footprint and lower price tag than most other all-in-one printers.

HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer (CH376A#B1H)

I bought this printer to replace my old Lexmark that was very faithful but used very expensive ink. I wasn't

interested in wireless, but wanted a new scanner also and this item was very well priced. The install was painless on windows 7 and took only 10 min. including tests. Printer, copier and scan worked flawlessly. my only concern

is noise when printing starts. I hear several bumps and grinds as printing begins and I hope this is normal.

This is a great product for the occasional home use. Printing, scanning, copying is fast. The build quality isn't top notch, but acceptable. One of the features that was not very clear from the product description was the wireless printing. Box says it needs a WPS enabled router, however, that is only for one touch wireless setup. The printer can be easily configured to print wirelessly from a PC using the HP supplied drivers. I tried this from windows 7 and setup was a breeze. The instructions supplied are very clear and concise. Printer has some in-built templates like calendar, notebook paper, graph paper which I found useful as opposed to downloading a template from the internet and printing that. Wireless printing/scanning works very well (I have a WRT54G router). Scanned files can be converted to jpeg or PDF or TIF.

I love this printer. It was exceptionally easy to install even for a novice like me.

Hi,

The NewerStone 7" DVD Player for mazda 3 (2003-2009) is a well made device, has good quality material, fits perfect on the Mazda 3 Dash ( with no gap at all). The SD Cards Ports has little doors to protect the SD cards and also gives a Clean Look.

I have been using daily by more than a month and the unit has not freeze the first time and is also very fast. You have option to change the BackGround in the Main Screens and Also the GPS screen.

I installed the Garmin Mobile XT on this GPS and is very Fast and almost perfect. The DVD and Videos on SD Card and USB looks and sound great too. Bluetooth function is also Perfect and has good quality audio.

The rear view function with the reverse is also pretty good and has mirror option (When you put reverse you have no audio for safety). Has also Games, TXT reader.

The bad things are that you will loose the Clock and the Stereo Info on the Factory Screen, if you have digital Air Conditioner you will only have this info on the screen.

This Device is a good bargain for the price and when You install it, You will have a Complete new Car.

Thank You...

I got one of these at Eddie Bauer a year (or maybe two) ago, and it's really convenient. The turn dial for alternate time zones is a great feature. I'm about to buy a 2nd one now that it has finally crapped out. Only 2 things to note... be careful where/how you pack it, a light bump can wipe out your settings, and the failure mode i experienced that has sent it to an early grave was a weird one where the alarm kept going off an hour earlier than what i had set.

The time display characters are not contrasted well enough with the background of the clock to be easily read unless the backlight is turned on. Flashlight and time zone components seem to be OK, but the difficult-to-read display rendered this useless for me. I returned it and won't buy another.

Innovative Technology Under Cabinet iPad Player Dock - FM Radio, Speakers & with Full Functional Rem

Innovative Technology Under Cabinet iPad Player Dock - FM Radio, Speakers & with Full Functional RemoteWe recently remodeled our kitchen and I replaced our 15-year old kitchen radio with this--I like being able to cook while watching Netflix. We just purchased a small RV and I'm thinking about getting one for the RV as well. It was easy to install and I like that it charges the Ipad if it is plugged in. The speakers are OK, not Bose sound, but not too bad either. Overall the quality and functionality are OK--so, my feeling is that it is a reasonable value for the price. 4 stars, not 5 and not 3.

The iPad Player Dock works OK with (at least) iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, though the connector is not fix, so you have to use both hands to attach or dettach from the base.

You can control player functions through the remote control or the panel keypad very well, so the interfase connector is well managed.

Also the audio power and sound quality you get is better than many iphone/ipad player docks in the market.

Like others who have commented, I like the convenience and am able to watch Netflix, follow my recipes, play games with my kids, listen to music etc. Fits fine under my cabinet and is easy to use. I think it is a good value in the $50 $60 price range.

It swivels and folds away. My ipad slides in and out easily and seems very secure. I also like the fact that it has a charging cord, which some other brands don't, however, it IS clumsy to connect and disconnect. Even so, I would recommend it.

Other than that one complaint, I'm satisfied with this product.

I like the item, because of the small amount of space it takes up. However, it's annoying to have to constantly reset it when the lights go out. Sometimes I think the alarm is set and it is not. I really would not recommend this item to anyone.

When I received this item, it became apparent that it required a separate base station to operate the phone. That would have to be another purchase that I did not anticipate. No where in the advertisement did it state that this was an extension of another item.

I was able to return the item but the cost of shipping both from and to the seller was expensive.

Great sound but the remote quit working after 3 weeks, but bose will replace it at no cost to me!

The product works well. I only gave it 4 stars because it was relatively expensive. The wife wanted it and was happy to receive it, therefore, I'm happy also.

I was looking for something to replace my old radio that could also be used to play my ipod while I exercise. This seemed like a good fit, but I was hesitant to buy because it was hard to find many reviews and there are virtually no details available from amazon or the manufacturer's website. I took a chance and I was pretty disappointed. What you don't know: the antenna is super short and only extends straight upward, so the FM reception is terrible. I couldn't pick up any station without severe static, even in locations that my old radio had no problems with. The knobs are loose and the whole radio is very lightweight plastic. Also, the knobs don't actually rotate, they just do a left click or a right click, and adjusting the volume or tuning takes endless repetitive clicks in either direction. Plus, the FM station presents are deleted every time you unplug the radio, so you have to enter them all back in each time if you plan on moving the radio between different locations or unplugging for storage. On the plus side, the iPod functionality was good with excellent sound quality. However, having FM radio was vital and there were just too many headaches to warrant keeping it. All of the design flaws really make it a $25-30 value at best, not at all worth the $60 price tag.

After hearing my friend complain again and again about how dainty all the other docks look sitting on his workbench in the garage, I broke down and purchased one of these for him. He immediately commented on the looks of the thing, and set about replacing the one he had set up already. The player sounds great in the space he has, and he can't wait for the weather to warm up so he can enjoy it more.

I wanted a relatively small iPhone compatible music player that I could keep in my studio. My needs were not great...put the iPhone on shuffle, hit play and leave it alone. From that perspective, I have no 'major' complaints about this system. I qualify this because I realize most users will want a bit more flexibility in a system, and this device may present some serious drawbacks for them.

Look and feel: Cheap. It looks cheaper in person than in the photos. Don't buy it for it's looks. The feel is even worse. Buttons are hard and click, unit feels empty and without quality.

Sound quality: Fair to good, but it lacks volume. It simply doesn't get very loud. Enough for background music, but that's about it. Seriously, I turned it up all the way and my wife and I were still able to carry on a full conversation just 3 feet from it. If you like your music loud, don't buy it.

Design: This system has some serious design flaws that you should know about...

1. The buttons and knobs don't allow you to navigate the iPod/iPhone, nor does it come with a remote. The worst part is that the plastic door needs to be shut to hold the iPod in place, otherwise you get an unstable connection with the dock connector. When the plastic door is shut, you have zero access to the iPod. Want to switch to a different playlist or browse to a different artist...tough. You have to manually remove the iPod, select your music, then put it back.

2. There is a free app that you can download that adds some functionality, but again, you need to open the plastic door to access those features on your screen.

3. The volume and track knobs click when you turn them. Want to turn up the volume? Twist the knob until you hear the very loud click, then release. Repeat over and over to keep raising the volume. You can twist to the click and hold, but it takes several seconds before the volumes starts going up...so it's actually faster to click it 10-15 times to reach full volume.

Do you like to turn your iPod on and let it play for hours on end as mood or background music? If that's the extent of your needs, fear not as this unit will do the job. I hate that it doesn't get very loud, but it does sound good...for an entry level unit.

Do you like to play and active part in your music, selecting songs, adjusting volumes, etc., etc? If so, do NOT buy this unit.

For my needs, it's a keeper because it was so cheap. I'm guessing most users would hate it though.

Just bought one of these and it is total junk. its a $15.00 radio. The sound quality is not good. The buttons are very very cheap. The whole unit is made out of very cheap plastic. Anyone who thinks this thing can be handled roughly is out of there mind. I just got it today and its being sent back tomorrow. Don't waste your money, I wish I didn't.

I had been searching for a portable dock for my iPhone that looked like it might be able to withstand a knock or two; I am not kind to my electronics. I found this thing and thought it fit the bill pretty nicely. Sound was pretty good, I didn't bother much with the apps at the time, saw no point in it. Anyway, put it to use when my buddy and I were sealing his rear-windows against the wind. Some caulk dribbled on the housing where the iPhone sits. Glad this thing has an enclosed dock.
