Motorola MOTO EX124G Touch Screen Straight Talk

Got this phone on the Black Friday deal at Wal*Mart...for the most part, I am really pleased. It took some getting used to a touch screen phone, but the included stylus is a great way to help initiate you into the touchscreen model. (Hint, that upper right thing is NOT an antenna. Pull it fully out and it's your stylus!)

The websurfing leaves much to be desired. You can't download a lot of free apps that I was hoping for. Unlimited text, web, and talk in the UNITED STATES ONLY. I can't text my friends in Canada, although you can get a calling plan to call them for fairly cheap (3 cents a minute, $10 to start with). The radio feature is kinda fun for when I need it, and you can store mp3s on there (although without a card, not all that much!).

The camera is 3.0mp and takes a decent picture for a phone. The camcorder is also pretty decent and picks up sound well. All in all, this was well worth the amount I paid on Black Friday and the $50 a month it costs for the unlimited plan (including tax). Not so sure I would say that if I hadn't gotten it for so cheap! ($35 for the phone alone)

The touch screen leaves much to be desired. I have to try 2-6 times just to unlock the phone. Texting is very frustrating on this model and I'm really underwhelmed by the features.

I have only used this phone for 2 days, but I can quickly tell its not the phone for me.

I have adjusted to the touch screen, but I am still very disappointed with the programing of this phone. After using it 2 months I still give it 2/5 stars as a review.

The voice quality is worse than any other pre-paid phone I've used. Often conversations are whisper quite while others are blaring loud. My friends and family are tired of me asking them to repeat themselves in conversations. Web browsing is possible, but sluggish and frustrating. It works in a pinch but don't expect to find what you are looking for in under 8 minutes.

The tilt-sensing function is very inaccurate and only available when texting. Calling someone from your phone book is much more complicated then it needs to be; I should be able to accomplish this with no more then 4 buttons/touches. The screen-locking feature kicks in at random times, in the middle of texting or inputting data, what's with that? Can it not tell I'm actively using the phone..

The basic tools are lacking. The calendar is a disappointment but the calculator can add correctly and the voice recorder records, sort of. The camera is 'okay' but sending pictures in MMS is difficult and tedious.

It has way better signal than my old phone. Now I see bars everywhere, even inside the buildings normally you can't get any signal from. It's small and easy to use. I don't have any problem with the features. This really helps lower my phone bill. I got $45 unlimited calling, texting and web browsing. When I said unlimited, I mean unlimited. I talk, text and go on internet all day long, and it's still $45 a month. I've never been happier.

I am very pleased with the phone it is a very nice looking phone and has a lot of stuff on it that I will be using. And I like how loud it rings at least I can hear it when it rings. And was able to download games on it. and lots of music. would consider buying from you again in the near future.

good build, nice design, projector works beautifully but not on the far wall, can adjust to project time on the ceiling or a close wall, works well even with a little light in the room, I bought it from BestBuy for $62, Amazon sell it cheaper.

Overall product works great and the nature sounds help mute outside noises and sleep better. It doesn't take up much space and you can adjust the red light allowing you to see the time on the ceiling.

Ok, I blew about $70 on this clock and my first impression was that the buttons on the unit were very cheap. They look and feel like they may break off at any time. The battery compartment has a screw that holds it closed? Really?? The clock projection turns off after 12 hours, so you have to turn it on every night in case you wake up. The very worst part about this clock is how horrible the sound is. For $70 it really should have much better sound than what it has.

I used to be a die hard Sony fan years ago and would buy nothing else in electronics. Now, I buy anything but Sony. Its a shame because thier qlaity and innovation has gone down so hard.

This is the best alarm clock that I had found online. It had most of the features that I wanted, and included nature sounds, which for me was a must. I was disappointed after setting up the alarm clock and finding out that all of the nature sounds were below expectations. Dream Machine is a poor description of this devise because I would not be able to fall asleep to any of their programmed nature sounds. Try relaxing to their first nature sound, the sea. Imagine the waves splashing and then a sea gull so loud that if it were real life, the gull would probably fly into your head. The second nature sound, birds, the sounds are sharp and not relaxing. The third, the best one yet, is rain. It sounds like radio static. If I wanted to listen to radio static I could have paid a lot less than almost 70 dollars. The fourth, the sound of running water is fine, other than a disturbing electronic sounding background noise that occurs about every three seconds. This is a shame because the running water sound is usually my favorite. The fifth nature sound is supposed to be some kind of underwater sound, which to me, sounds like running water with someone playing a wooden xylophone in the background. Also not relaxing. My advise for the person who is looking for relaxing nature sounds to fall asleep to would be to not buy this alarm clock. Also, to add to the disappointment, as mentioned in previous reviews, the sound quality is awful. Yes, you can hook up your ipod or mp3 player, but expect it to sound horrible. This is an issue that should have been fixed from the previous model. Other than that, I do like that I can program alarms for the weekend and the work week. I kept this alarm clock because it was the best one I could find, and I had already paid 70 bucks for it. Otherwise, I would have looked for one with better sound quality and better nature sounds. Maybe they should have named it the Awake Machine instead. It would have been better suited.

I wanted an iPod dock in the bathroom to listen to music during a shower/bath and also getting ready. I also wanted a clock so that I could keep track of time while in the bathroom. This has served both those purposes and more.

I hooked it up yesterday and was excited to see that it set the right time automatically. I was also happy to see that it was easy to set up the radio presets. My iPod touch 2nd generation docked perfectly in its silicone case without any adapter (this unit comes with 4 adapters if necessary).

The sound is pretty good. I tested 20 radio stations (there are 20 presets available) and I tested my iPod. For my bathroom, the sound filled the room and was not buzzy or scratchy.

There is no remote control included for this unit, but the controls are right on the top of the machine and easy to see and use.

I am very happy with this purchase. It is the right price for what you are getting. Good value! I hope this unit lasts a long time, I will update this review as time passes.

I was sick of having a glowing light from my alarm clock. I was looking for something that you could see in the middle of the night, but didn't leave the room lit up. This is perfect. So far I love all the features. My only tiny complaint is that I set up the automatic time through your time zone and it is about 8 or 9 minutes fast. I don't mind because I can hit snooze though.

This dock does everything I wanted and more!

The duel alarm clock is great, especially with all the options. I love that it starts quiet and gets louder, instead of instantly waking you with a lound noise.

Don't expect amazing sound quality, but do expect to hear clear music without a fuzz. For the amaingly low price, you get much more than you ask for with this unit.

Was looking for a nice speaker dock for my iPad2 that had a FM radio as well as a auxiliary input for my satellite radio tuner. Most products I looked at were priced way higher than this and most lacked either the FM tuner or the Aux port. Saw this and thought I would give it a try. The iPad was a little tricky at first to put in the dock. but after about 5 minutes of practice I now pop it in and out flawlessly. Sound quality is good for the iPad, FM Tuner and Aux port. One nice feature is the telescoping antenna. Most others either had a thin wire antenna or none at all. It makes it much easier tuning radio stations without having to move a wire around and hold it to the wall with tape or a thumb tack. I do wish the clock had more than just 24 hour format. If it does have a 12 hour format it is not in the manual to change it to that setting. Also if you are using it with the iPad you can't see the display. So figuring out which radios station, the source you are on and setting the eq takes some thought. Other than that is is serving my purposes just fine.

It's ok, not what I had hoped for. The digital portion of the radio sits behind the iPad so you have to remove it to change stations.

I was hoping it would have a tuner app that would display on the iPad for tuning the radio.

I purchased this stereo based on it's price and good reviews, apparently I should have paid a bit more attention to the details. This stereo is awkward in it's setup with the volume on the right and the station selection dial on the left. This is a setup that I am not used to and is a pain to change while I am driving.

The other thing that is quite strange is the lack of radio station presets. There are six buttons at the bottom of the stereo and none of them besides the aux button are of much good.

If you are only going to use this for an ipod or as a cd player then this is a great stereo, but if you listen to the radio even just once in a while then this is not the stereo for you.

iPod Controls are nice. I would like it to be more like a dock so I can select my songs from the iPod it's self. Sound quality is really nice. It actually sounds better than the factory radio with the factory speakers. Sub woofer output sounds good. Well balance of sound with the sub woofers and the factory speakers. The screen is nice, because it will read out the details of the track/audio file that is being played. You can select songs from the radio its self. Tuner works nice. Over all, it was very easy to install. Be sure to buy the wiring harness, because it makes things a lot easier. Be sure to buy your din kit if you need one. Over all, replacing the factory radio, and buying the din kit and wiring harness cost me only $100.00 with free shipping. It probably took a good hour to install. Could take less, or more depending on your vehicle. Installed in a 1997 Dodge Stratus. I'm 17 and I figured it out. I strongly advise you to do research on how to install on your specific car. If you do not feel comfortable installing this yourself, seek professional help such as Best Buy Geek Squad. They charge around $60.00 for install. I did it my self to save some money.

Kenwoods have problems with the removable face. That connection eventually caused the display to stop communicating with the unit every time I went over bump in the road. I sent my 1st one to a shop. couldn't fix it. $45 repair fee down the drain. While I waited 75 days (called everyday) I bought another with a 3 year warranty. I could not find a different brand with the USB port. That is all I really wanted. Now my 2nd Kenwood unit is going black when I push the src button early in the morning. I can feel the face move when I push the button. Fine the rest of the day. I am using my warranty. I am done with Kenwood. Blaupunkt has the USB so I am trying them next. When they work, they are very good units, I like the features too, but once the face connection starts having trouble, you are done.

The Kenwood 252 reciever does exactly what it says. It was easy to install however I did use a wiring harnesses for both my truck (ranger) and the wife's car (Miata) which is the only way to go. We both liked this model mainly for the ipod / iphone player feature using USB port in the front. There aren't many buttons which makes navigating to the album / song pretty easy. It does come with a remote for anyone who needs one. Oveall good price and a good product.

This clock looks good and has a nice feature set, but while it may make a nice travel clock (if your cell phone won't do) it's really not suitable for regular use.

* While the time is displayed in nice large numbers, the contrast is low and the display is hard to read in all but the brightest light. The display is set comparatively deep within the bezel and tends to chop off the right side of the last seconds digit, unless you view it fairly straight on. The date and temp are small, and can only be read from fairly close up.

* As others have noted, you can't read the display if you are looking up at it, as when it's on your bed's headboard. You have to sit up a bit, or twist the clock.

* The clock is smaller than it may look from the picture, and the base is narrow. It's much too easy to knock it over when pushing the backlight/snooze button.

* Unlike many alarm clocks, there's no button to push to turn off the alarm and leave it armed for tomorrow: You have to fiddle with a small slide switch each and every night and each every morning.

I was a little disappointed after opening it and finding out it was more of a travel alarm clock for keeping appointments and such, rather than one you might keep in a bedroom to wake up to. It is battery operated and the lighted display does not stay lit. You push the snooze button to turn it on and it only stays lit for a couple seconds before turning off. And when the alarm goes off it is kind of quite for an alarm clock and it turns the alarm off after a minute or two. It is not for a heavy sleeper. But on the up side it is small and takes up little space and the display is relatively large. Also there's a switch on the back for setting time, date, and alarm but it also includes a lock position so the setting won't easily be changed accidentally. Overall I would not recommend this to someone who needs an alarm click to wake up to.

In our family, we prefer battery-powered alarm clocks. We have 3 of these, used by our teenager, my husband and me. None of us experience the viewing problems others have mentioned. In addition, any battery-powered alarm clock we have every owned had a short "lighted" time to save battery power. It is a little annoying that if you need to change the "set" time, and you're doing so in the dark, you must let go of the LIGHT button. However, since we're used to that, from years of using battery-powered clocks, we find it's an easy issue to work around. Further, for $9.99 we have found this model to be very accurate at time and temperature.

I bought this clock to go in the bathroom and it serves the purpose well. I love that it tells you the temperature. If you are using this as an alarm clock for the nightstand, you might find the display a little small. Great for the price though.

I have own this clock for four years. I have put only two sets of batteries in it. The tempurature gauge is nice. I use it in the Bering Sea to tell me how comfortable I am. The clock has done a lot of traveling. It started in China. Did some time in the Gulf of Mexico. I have taken on some of the road trip. The clock flew to Chile and sailed back to Charleston SC. After a couple of months of light use, it stopped working. I had to start wiggling the power cord, it was like a short or something, at last it stopped altogther. I really liked it while it worked. It charged the Ipod, had a little remote and the sound was good. The battery life stunk but mine was pretty much stationary so leaving it plugged in was not a problem. I have bought another brand for a replacement and I don't like it at all....I am trying to decide if I should give this one another shot.

The FM tuner is somewhat weak. The LCD display disappears when viewed at angles.

Summary

I bought this after returning a defective iLive iPod boom box (IBCD2817) and glad that I did. Sound quality is what I expected from a device this size and in this price range. It is put together well and works as advertised without costing $150.

I bought one of these used for about $25, site unseen. I was fearful that the FM radio wouldn't be good enough to get my local public radio station, and I'd be frustrated. The only boombox I could try locally (an iCraig) had a terrible FM tuner and wouldn't function with the newer iPods.

The MiniMove was a very pleasant surprise. The digital FM tuner picks up my station without even pulling out the antenna! As the others have posted, it works fine with my iTouch (2nd generation). The box states explicitly that it will work with Touch(1/2), Nano(1/2/3/4), Classic, Video(5), iPod(4) and Mini.

It runs on 4 AA batteries or the included AC adapter. You need the remote if you want hands off operation of the iPod, since it has buttons that don't appear on the main unit (like 'play').

The volume level and sound quality are much better than the previous portable speakers I was using.

This is a nice unit and does exactly what I needed, and in a very conveniently small form factor.
