  • Requires 2 "AAA" batteries for the clock and 4 "AA" batteries for the motion and LED lights - not included Blue colored alarm clock

Clock arrived quickly and was well packaged. It was difficult to get into the batteries (it is not electrical) and my husband had to fiddle with it for about thirty minutes before it ever lit up or bounced. Then it stopped bouncing or lighting up. It does sing, but only one song which does get on your nerves after about thirty minutes of trying to get it to light up and bounce. With all that said, my 9 y/o thought it was neat and wanted to keep it, anyway.

I bought this a while ago and I love it! Its easy to set up, wakes me up well, and it doesn't brake if it falls on the floor. The only problem is when setting it up. Its kind of difficult to take it apart to put batteries in, but after a while of trying to open it I got it. So I would recommend it!

i bought this alarm clock for a grandson that has trouble getting up in the mornings. this clock looks a little cheaply made but is cool looking when the alarms goes off and is easy to set. i was a little distressed because i bought it for a six year old boy and the only song that it plays is not a song i would choose for a child. it sounds like it is playing something like "yummy love"???? overall though i was happy with the purchase and my grandson loved it when he openend it.

This clock does wake you up. The only problem with is the small buttons on the front. When my son tries to turn it off while it is shaking and booming--if you hit the wrong button it changes the time or alarm times and then you have to reset things. Other than that--it's fun and it has the workings to get you up.

Takes AA and AAA batteries. Difficult to install both sets. Must have all installed for both sound and movement to work. Anyone capable of setting a digital watch should have no difficulty in setting the date/time on the clock. Plays only one song which is a bit irritating, but our 6 year old is very happy with it, so that's all that matters.

Gear4, Inc. Halo 3 App-Enhanced Alarm Clock/Dock for iPod touch and iPhone 5

Gear4, Inc. Halo 3 App-Enhanced Alarm Clock/Dock for iPod touch and iPhone 5
  • Dual drivers and a passive radiator for great quality audio with enhanced bass response
  • Charges iPod and iPhone with Lightning connector
  • 12/24 hour clock with alarm and snooze control
  • Dimmable LED display
  • FM radio with presets

The product itself seems great.

But the App-Enhanced part doesn't work as the App SoundHive Connect is not available in the iTunes store. So... right now it is just a glorified alarm clock. I have put in an email to gear4 and am awaiting their response. The clock/dock is 8 pin for the iPhone 5, but it like almost every other accessory for any Apple ianything it won't work with the Otterbox Commuter Case so it is much easier to just plug the iPhone in using the Cooper Wiring Devices TR7740W-K Combination USB Charger with Tamper Resistant Receptacle (purchased from Amazon) with the regular iPhone lightning cable.

I am somewhat disappointed right now and hope to be able to update this review in a more positive manner when/if the App has been released, although I am not convinced it will be worth fighting with the Otterbox Case every time I want to dock my iPhone 5.

--On the gear4 website it does say to use the SmartLink App, but the AlarmDock doesn't recognize it and the instructions that come with the AlarmDock have an insert that states to use the SoundHive Connect App; and the AlarmDock even tries to send you to the iTunes Store for it but it is just not there.

***BEWARE*** I received the batteries very quickly...however I was expecting a factory sealed package of 100 batteries...instead I received a bulging box of 100 individual batteries randomly dumped into a box.

these batteries are not in a retail package of any kind. they ship in a mail bag inside an overstuffed box. All the contacts are touching each other. This is no way to sell / distribute retail merchandise. The batteries are not safe after they contacts touch each other. they can short out and/or even leak. Please DO NOT BUY this item unless it has a UPC number and not just an ASIN number. The later is an amazon number. The UPS assures you are getting retail merchandise.

Coby CRA79 Digital Projection AM/FM Alarm Clock (Black)

Coby CRA79 Digital Projection AM/FM Alarm Clock
  • Digital clock with large LED display
  • Built-in time projection
  • Sensitive AM/FM analog tuner
  • Alarm clock with sleep/snooze timers
  • Wake to music or buzzer
  • Clock backup with 9V battery (battery NOT included)
  • Digital clock with large LED display and built-in time projection
  • Easy-to-use dial with tactile feedback to set the clock and alarm
  • Wake to AM/FM music or buzzer

This projection alarm clock barely projects at all.

The image is faint at best, and will not project above a few inches.

I expected to be able to clearly see thwe time on most of the ceiling or wall at night, but it doesn't even come close to meeting that expectation.

Buy Coby CRA79 Digital Projection AM/FM Alarm Clock (Black) Now

Not to be too critical... the clock works and projects as designed but I question why the projection and the clock are two entirely separate clocks. You set the clock by rotating the bezel (?) and then you have to set the projection clock separately. Two separate clocks?

Another thing I didn't like was that the projection is not bright enough and you cannot rotate the projection. It points forward and up not left and right. I'd actually like to be able to turn it upside down so that I can see it right side up on my ceiling with the clock itself facing me as well. This is not possible.

Other than that it's not defective. Excepts maybe in the sense that it is deficient in design.

The projector brokw within a month of getting in and now the alarm doesn't work.

Waste of money.

Want Coby CRA79 Digital Projection AM/FM Alarm Clock (Black) Discount?

I received the Coby CRA79 Digital AM/FM Projector Alarm Clock this past Christmas and four months later the projector portion of the clock failed. I'm told some of the pixals in the projector are burned out and since the warranty is only good for ninty days I now have a conventional alarm clock that I can't get fixed and will not do the one thing I want it to do. I recommend potential purchers stay as for from this product as humanly possible.

This clock is aweful. Its confusing to set.(you have to set the display clock separately from the ceiling display for some reason, and they're not easy to set) the instructions dont help much. Once set, the clock was pretty good for about 2 weeks then the ceiling display stopped working properly and only the top half of the numbers would show. Totally useless. The display on ceiling is quite dim and can only only be seen in a dark room. Once the sun came up a little bit i couldnt read it anymore. It feels cheaply made too. Don't buy this stupid clock!

Jensen JiPS-250i Docking Station for iPad, iPod, and iPhone (Black)

Jensen JiPS-250i Docking Station for iPad, iPod, and iPhone
  • Output: 2 X 2.5W RMS
  • Power: 120V AC Adaptor (included)
  • Rotating dock for landscape view
  • Compatible with iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod nano, iPod touch, iPod classic, iPhone, and iPod (5th generation)
  • Auxiliary input jack for connecting iPod suffle, MP3, and other digital audio players

I have owned this dock since October 2010 and use it every night as a loud alarm clock and to watch Netflix before I go to sleep. If mine broke, I would buy it again, but I've had almost a year to learn the quirks of this unit.

I do not normally write long reviews, but after reading some of the reviews here, I felt compelled to piece together all the tid bits of info and correct some of the misconceptions provided by other reviewers, some of whom it is painfully obvious never bothered to pick up the well written, very simple, easy to follow instruction manual.

DOCKING/UNDOCKING

When you are docking your iPad, right befor you reach the connector, apply a little pressure pushing down on the iPad to get the proper alignment. If you're unit does not appear make a ding sound or flash a screen showing a green battery charging then you more than likely have slipped the connector on the dock behind the iPad instead of into it. It's very easy to do.

When you are ready to take the iPad out, I wedge my thumb in between the iPad and the dock to free it a little before popping it out. Trying to just pull it out seems dangerous to me and I had visions of my iPad flying across the room, so I use a little extra effort to be as gentle as possible.

CHARGING

It does not matter if the green light is on or off, your unit will charge. To verify this, unlock the screen when docked and look at the battery remaining indicator in the top left corner. If there is a lightening bolt inside the battery, then you are charging. The screen also should have quickly turned on when you docked and showed a large green battery charging.

AUDIO DEFAULTS

I hate this feature and I have no idea what brainiac at Jensen thought this was good BUT, when you dock your pad and turn the dock on (that means green light is on) within 10 seconds music will automatically start to play from your library.

There are 2 ways to stop it:

1. (Short Way) Hit pause on your remote (remeber to aim your remote towards the green light)

2. (Long Way) Unlock your screen, locate your iPod icon, open iPod, tap pause or stop

Now you're free to do whatever you want (EXCEPT WATCH VIDEOS (Including NETFLIX, that's the next section).

VIDEO DEFAULTS

Just like audio, the braniacs set a weird default for video. You've docked your iPad, turned the dock on and turned the default music off. Now you want to watch a video, stream Netflix or whatever. The dock ASSUMES you want to watch these things on your TV and you've set up all necessary A/V cables and are just waiting for it to start up. Well, 9 times out of 10, it's WRONG!!

After you start your video you should be hearing it, but not seeing it. Right? If so, you will need your remote again. Aim the remote towards the green light and press the Video On/Off button. It takes a second, but you should see your screen flip.

Let's take NETFLIX. When you started the movie, you were hearing it but looking at a red logo screen. Yes? Good. After you use your remote, the screen should flip and you should now see the video you selected on the screen in pause mode. Tap the screen, hit play and everything should be working perfect now.

AUDIO/VIDEO REDOCKING GOOD/BAD NEWS

Good news, you've figured out how to use it. Bad News, everytime you take the iPad out of the dock, you will have to repeat these steps when you dock it again, so if you're not sure about the steps, print this review for future reference.

IPAD 2

Don't complain about having wiggle room in the brackets. Blame Steve Jobs for always changing things jussst enough that the accessories form one generation don't translater perfectly to the next. Not Jensens fault. This dock was built for the 1st Generation. Jensen has come up with an adapter to use with the iPad 2. Contact Jensen Customer Service.

CASES

You cannot dock the iPad in it's case, which stinks. I put a skin on mine after I had the Rocker about a week to avoid getting scratches on the back. Remeber "skins" and "cases" are different things. Skins are a sticker that adheres to the iPad like a bumper sticker and can be used with the docker. Cases add bulk and cannot be used while docked.

TROUBLESHOOTING

STARTS PLAYING MUSIC WHEN TURNED ON

See Audio Defaults section above

SOUND, BUT NO PICTURE

Read above section on Video Defaults. Remember you have to repeat these steps everytime you remove the iPad from it's dock once it's redocked.

NO SOUND AT ALL

This one frustrated me at first, but I finally figured it out. The first time this happened to me, I emailed Jensen and they offeren an exchange even though I had already had it for 8 months. We were leaving to move cross country the next day, so I figured I'd do it after we moved.

The next day in the car, I tried to watch a movie but there was sound coming into my earbuds. Switched buds, no sound. Unplugged buds, no sound. So I reset my iPad and got sound back. Later I plugged in my Rocker and the sound worked fine. hmmm A few days later, no sound again through my docker, reset the iPad and Viola! Let there be sound! This all started happening one day after I did an update on my iPad in July 2011. After this update I kept seeing a Dock Connector message in the upper right hand corner of my iPad in iPod mode that wasn't there previously.

TO RESET YOUR IPAD (also works on iPod Touch and iPhone)

Hold down the power button and home key at the same time until a red slider asking you if you want to Power Off appears. Power Off your iPad. Hold down the buttons again until an Apple appears inthe middle of your screen. Let go and wait a couple of seconds.

LOST YOUR REMOTE

The manual includes instructions for how to perfom the different remote functions using different button sequences using the volume and power buttons, but I suggest keeping your remote with your dock and not losing it.

ALARM CLOCK/WEATHER APP

I found the APP that came with the Rocker to be very cheesy. They obviously didn't put anything into it for the iPad. I prefer the Nightstand App. You can download a free edition, but I bought the $1.99 edition for my iPad and iPod and if Sprint ever gets the iPhone, I'm sure I'll buy it again.

RESET BUTTON

I used this only once when trying to resolve the no sound issue and it did not work for me. Try the method I described above.

PROS:

Tilts in Landscape and Portrait mode.

Tilts at a perfect angle for typing.

Sound Quality is very good

Customer Service responded to my email quickly and were very helpful

Long cord for moving it around from my night stand to my bed depending on what I'm doing

Price

CONS:

The defaults that have to be fixed everytime you dock (why I took away a star)

Speakers on the sides only, none in the front

Horrible App Included

People that write bad reviews without reading the manual, which is actually very simple yet thorough

If you have any questions regarding the Jensen Rocker, Comment below and I'll answer what I can.

I tried covering everything here and if I think of anything else I'll add it later.

Buy Jensen JiPS-250i Docking Station for iPad, iPod, and iPhone (Black) Now

Overall, I feel this unit is an great value for the money! When I originally read the Amazon reviews, I decided not to buy even though it looked great. Two days later, I coincidentally saw the same item at Target, so I decided "why not".

The GOOD NEWS: (1) stand works great rotates and tilts, (2) charger is excellent -charges faster than Apple charger and comparable to Griffin PowerBlock, (3) sound quality for type of unit is very good, and (4) you can use with your iphone and ipod too. For $70, you cannot beat this price for an all-in-one unit that is a rotating stand with charger with speakers... buying separately (and I have!) you will spend $120+. I have seen rotating/tilting stands alone for $50+.

Now, to address an inaccuracy in another review... someone indicated that the unit does not play video when docked, but it does. From first purchase, the default is "video out" but there is a button on the remote to turn it off and then it works just fine from then on. You can also push a button combination on the unit to switch "video out". The manufacturer should have set the default to "off," but there is a solution.

The BAD NEWS: (1) Other reviews are correct that when you turn it on, it automatically starts playing music... a bit quirky. (2) The Jensen application is poor as others have indicated, but that is not why I bought it anyway. I don't use it. However, the unit will continue to ask if you want to install the app each time you dock if it is not installed, which can be annoying.

BOTTOM LINE: I liked the Jensen dock so much that I went back to buy another -one for the bedroom and one for the office. It comes down to how you will use it... my primary use is charging and rotating stand... once in a while I use the speakers... While there are some quirks, the benefits far outweigh. For me, it is an excellent product and value.

They almost got it right. Once docked it will start playing your music immediately, whether you'll like it doing so is up to you. Sounded pretty good, much better than the built in iPad sound for sure.

It holds the iPad in portrait or landscape mode with an almost endless variety of viewing angles which I really liked, some docks seem to be only able to do portrait mode.

The bad, once docked if I tried to play any video it would say that is was connected to a TV when it wasn't, no cable was connected. I used a paperclip to reset the unit and then videos played. Until I undocked and docked again, then same thing and this may be a deal breaker. Not sure if this is a defective unit or they all suffer from the same problem.

The app that it downloads is awful, an iPhone/iPod app for a device that seems to be primarily for the iPad is an odd choice to say the least. You can connect those devices sure but look at this thing, it is designed for the iPad, at least have a choice of a higher resolution iPad app. Since the app is how you interact with this device it made it seem "cheap".

So I would say with just a little more work and minimal investment they could make this a 5 star device, I would recommend they do so.

As some have noted yes I understand the way the video was supposed to work by pushing the button on the remote, unfortunately with this unit that didn't work.

Also if you got a unit that works great I am happy for you, this one didn't and I could only base my review on the unit I bought.

Want Jensen JiPS-250i Docking Station for iPad, iPod, and iPhone (Black) Discount?

I ran into the same issues as the "Almost" reviewer. I REALLY wanted the device to function as described in the product description but that just wasn't the case.

CONS:

1) While trying to watch a video, I had the error message that stated the unit was connected to a TV when it wasn't. The manual's solution is to press the Video button on the remote...didn't work. Tried powering the unit off & on; tried docking & undocking; etc etc, but never could get the videos to play.

2) In addition to the lack of resolution that "Almost" mentions as relates to the onscreen images, I found that when the iPad is in landscape mode, you can no longer "flip" through the four screen pages..Clock/Weather, Music, TV/Video, etc.

3) Within Sleep Mode, I would select length of time & sound options then select Save. The options would be saved for one time; the next time I wanted to use Sleep Mode, I would have to go back & reselect and Save them again.

4) The remote has limited functionality once you begin using the Jensen app.

5) It is a little concerning that it says in the manual (& I can't quote it because I have since returned the product, but in paraphrasing..) that slight power surges and things of that nature can happen frequently and will require the unit to be reset using a paperclip & the reset button. I read that to mean they had a number of glitches that would necessitate doing system resets to resolve them.

PROS: 1) Flexibility of screen positioning. 2) Sound quality was much better than the iPad and much better than I expected. 3) Great concept.

Like I said, I really wanted this to work; I love the idea; I love what their intended functionality was; but, as of now (Nov 2010), they don't have the bugs worked out so I would not recommend it to anyone. The only reason I did not rate it a 1 was because of the PROS; and if they can resolve the CONS, I'd buy it again and rate it a 5.

To reiterate it will not dock an iPad 2 ! I wanted to love this Jensen's name at a good price point perfect, right? Don't risk damaging your iPad 2's connection port. Wait for a product designed specifically for the iPad 2.

Just what I was looking for. Needed a clock radio with dual alarm and projection and battery backup. But most of all, one that would let me turn off daylight savings time! My current clock is programmed to the "old" DST, so I have to change it four times a year what a pain! With this unit, at least I can turn DST off and reliably set DST myself. Getting two was great since I was also looking to replace my wife's clock for Christmas. As usual with Amazon, the order arrived sooner than promised. Would definitely recommend to others.

Sangean U3 AM/FM Ultra Rugged Digital Tuning Radio Receiver

Sangean U3 AM/FM Ultra Rugged Digital Tuning Radio Receiver
  • Water resistant
  • Auto scan;10 memory presets
  • Backlit LCD display
  • Selectable auto shutoff timer
  • 10 Memory Preset Stations (5 FM, 5 AM)

A reader warned me about the Sangean U3 being too bass-heavy. Listening to talk radio wasn't pleasant. Too muddled. Same complaint about the otherwise well reviewed U3's smaller brother, the very appealing Lunchbox, which will be available in about a month for about $12 less than my $103 U3. The lesser priced Lunchbox has a slightly smaller speaker, no headphone jack, and no tone controls for bass and treble.

Let me say before I delay any longer that the tone controls on the U3 make listening to talk NO PROBLEM. The sound is great on both talk and music. Digital FM, with 5 presets, is crystal clear with no background noise and no need to adjust the FM rubber antenna. The weakest station I listen to 89.3 KPCC comes in with no problem. AM, received from the internal ferrite, has 5 presets and is very sensitive. No ugly birdy noise on 710 AM, a sometimes problematic station on my other radios.

My wife also likes the radio, its bold look and its crystal clear sound. She said she wants to keep it in the kitchen, which means I'll have to move the Boston Acoustics Horizon Duo into the living room. For now the U3 is between my computer and yoga mat inside the office. Like all my radios, my U3 doesn't like the computer. Five feet away from the computer and all my radios suffer a bit of compromised FM. AM doesn't seem to be affected.

Power

You can power up the U3 with the included AC. Not included are the 2 AA batteries to back-up power, clock and presets in the case of a power outage.

If you don't want to use the AC, you power up the U3 with 6 D batteries.

The U3 also comes with dual alarm functions, which I plan on never using. This radio is to produce big clear sound in the house, the garage, or front and back yards. So far as I can tell it is a big winner.

Buy Sangean U3 AM/FM Ultra Rugged Digital Tuning Radio Receiver Now

I started out looking at job site radios, you know, the ones with the battery charging systems. Some of them weren't rated very high and I didn't need that feature. Then I found the U-3. I have a hearing loss so I was worried about the base sounding mudduled like one review. Perhaps they have updated the bass control since that one review. I had no trouble with the base control and I can hear talk radio fine. I live in a rural area and have never been able to get AM reception on any radio, in my shop. Not only does it strong AM no matter where I place it, the U-3 gets crystal clear FM. My favoite FM station has always been fuzzy on other radios. There is plenty of base if you want it. The volume can boom clearly over all my machinery. The controls are eazy to use with dirty hands, and the thing laughs at all the saw dust on top of it. I have not tried the battery thing yet since I am never planning to use it that way. The thing is built to withstand an atomic attack.

Now for my only con........ If it had a remote I could put it on a high shelf. It is a minor inconvienace to put it within reach.

Treat yourself and buy this radio.

I wanted a rugid, digital, LOUD, yet small radio for my husband to take with us tailgating, camping, and to NASCAR races. This fit exactly what he and I were both looking for. It has a light, can be used while plugged into an AC or DC outlet, or even use batteries. It's digital with memory so he can save all his favorite stations and it is LOUD for only being one speaker.

Want Sangean U3 AM/FM Ultra Rugged Digital Tuning Radio Receiver Discount?

The audio is a bit on the bass side, even with tone turned to treble, but I have no problem with it. Someone else might.

My favorite stations come in fine. Switching bands / stations is a breeze with pre-set buttons. The tuner will scan (similar to most car radios). The knobs are well labeled, very smooth, and simple to operate.

Limited testing renders DX'ing with U3 comparable to CC Radio on both bands.

The time / alarm are very easy to set. The clock displays the time when unit is turned off. The 2 AA batteries that just run the clock will probably last a year or more. I do not think the battery indicator reflects the strength of the 2 clock batteries. My guess is that when the clock stops displaying, it's time to change the 2 AA's(?).

The "Sleep" mode is handy and easy to invoke. Using it could save some battery life if one should wander off and forget radio is on.

I'm impressed with the build. The roll cage has rubber feet and the radio is mounted to the cage with rubber mounts. It should withstand rough riding and being moved around frequently. The "rubber ducky" FM antenna functions very well and makes moving / carrying radio much easier.

Having only played U3 on the "D" cells for a few hours, I cannot comment on battery life at this time.

The AC wire is on a spool in the roomy rear compartment. Returning the wire to the compartment is not difficult or "challenging", as with many portable radios. The AC plug is 2 prong; no wall wart.

While operating on AC, the battery indicator disappears as an indication that batteries are not in use.

The AC wire compartment has room for my 12V lighter plug adapter & cord.

Sangean should include this wire/adapter or at least offer one as an option. I was able to make one up, but only by luck of having correct parts on hand.

The display is large and easy to see and read.

Display back light remains on for about 15 seconds in both battery and AC mode. This is a good thing, in my opinion, since my CC Radio back light eventually burnt out after a few years of being on with radio always connected to AC. Pressing any button re-illuminates the back light at any time.

I've made no attempts to charge a cell phone from U3. I do not have the required wire for my phone. (No wires come with radio for cell phones or 12V DC input power.)

I'm also impressed with the door on the battery compartment. It has a screw-knob, is hinged, and not likely to fail.

All the auxiliary receptacles have rubber hinged stoppers in them to add to the water-proof integrity. Hand grip is rubber padded and very comfortable; radio is rather heavy (about 9 lbs),yet still easy to grab & go. It's very good for placing on the ground or floor.

Side-by-side, the audio is just as good (for my ears) as my GE Superadio, which up until now, has provided the best audio of all my portables.

Operating the U3 next to my computer, I get no noise on AM or FM.

I'm very pleased with the U3 radio.

I encourage Sangean to offer accessory connectors or at least links for 3rd party providers. Sangean may also care to re-visit the bass level of this radio.

I bought this sight unseen or heard. It had all the right features, but it only had one speaker and there where one or two posts complaining about sound quality.

When the box arrived, it is way smaller and lighter than I thought. I plugged it in, set my MP3 player on Foo Fighters, and the box rocks. Nuff, said.

I was looking at the Sony ZS-H10CP Heavy-Duty CD Radio Boombox, and I am so happy I did not buy that. This is a boombox you don't mind carrying 3 miles in the woods. It is tough so you don't have to even think about being careful with the thing.

Two things weird things that have turned out really useful. One, the built in light was really handy. Two, the built in alarm clock proved a life saver.

I honestly think I can beat a bear unconscious with the thing, and not lose radio reception while doing so.

Elenco Snap Circuits Green - Alternative Energy Kit

Elenco Snap Circuits Green - Alternative Energy KitLast year for Christmas, we bought the Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 set for our then six-year-old son. The worked through the first half of the experiments on Christmas day! Obviously I didn't have time to explain to him how they all worked, but the point is the instructions are easy to follow and produce entertaining results.

This year, we knew another snap circuits set would be similarly well received. This Green Alternative Energy Kit looked like a great option that didn't repeat too much of what he already had. He loved it again and is eagerly looking forward to designing his own circuits that can combine parts from both sets.

The product is very well packaged--the box it comes in organizes all parts neatly and securely without too much wasted space. The parts are all clearly labeled and easy to snap into place. It includes an FM radio, voltmeter, and a fan/windmill, which are all favorites. The biggest complaint I have is that the hand crank requires enough force to turn it quickly that it is easy to pop that part off of the circuit board. Keeping one hand firmly over the part while using the other hand to do the cranking usually keeps everything secure. Also, the photovoltaic cell doesn't generate enough current except during a very sunny day (which is typical for a cell this size). That said, I would say this set is even more enjoyable than the first set and I would certainly buy it again.

When I asked my son just now what he thought of the set and whether he'd recommend it to others, he said: "It is awesome!"

The Snap Circuits toys are wonderful. My son (just turned 6 last week) received the Snap Circuits Pro for Christmas. We liked it so much that he received the Snap Circuits Green kit for his birthday last week. He has enjoyed building snap circuits into actual items. The instructions are easy to follow. I like that the toy is educational, fun, and durable. I would highly recommend it!

I got this yesterday. For 8 and up. It is the greatest toy I ever had! It's like LEGO, a new toy every day. The only thing is that you have to charge the batteries for several hours before you can start building. It is very easy to put together. The battery charger uses solar so we put in in the sun. I LOVE IT! Get it for your kid. Buy today, don't delay!

Our 5-yr old loves building the projects with me. This is fun for him and very educational. If he has his choice of what he wants to play with out of all his toys, it would be this. Highly recommend!!!

Seriously, I have a 5 year old, so many toys have been purchased in his lifetime, and this is the best one. Not only is it extremely educational, but it keeps his attention, he can do it on his own, the parts are very easy to snap together and the instructions are simple enough for him to follow to make the projects. He picked up on the fact that you can make your own projects too, and learned that if you connect certain items your battery will drain faster, so he uses mostly the solar option with battery backup. We will be purchasing every kit this company puts out for birthdays and Christmas for years to come. I love that they have Junior options and then go up to the bigger kids with more intricate pieces and bigger projects. Just an amazing toy for all ages.

When working, this clock radio is passable and the performance is certainly in line with the price. Overall, when working, the value is good. However, the one I have stopped working, with the exception of charging my phone battery, within 24 hours of plugging it in. It sits there and mocks me with its silence and displays a static time 1:19 PM. The time never changes, it remains forever 1:19 PM. It is a very lonely, silent, well-charged world on Planet Pyle Clock Radio and it's always 1:19 PM.

This took some time to understand. I wanted a large snooze button, and the unit could not be over 3" hi to get t the snooze buton on my bedstand. I wanted the iphone charging which works great! What I didn't know I was getting was a large light at the top of the unit. It goes on 1 minute prior to the salarm going off, and comes back on with the snooze button. If the speaker unit is in the up position, it is a bother, not so much in the down position. Little did I know i can control the display with low, medium & high, a great feature!

We bought this for our granddaughter for Christmas, based on her verbal description of the features she wanted. She is delighted, and the price was right for us.

GPX KC232S Under Cabinet CD Player with AM/FM Radio - Silver

GPX KC232S Under Cabinet CD Player with AM/FM Radio - Silver
  • Under cabinet CD player with analog tuning AM/FM radio
  • Flip down MP3 cradle for holding your music player
  • Mounting hardware: 4 spacers and 4 screws included
  • Remote control: requires a CR2025 battery (pre-installed)
  • Powered via the built-in AC power cable

Easy to install and setup (includes a drill template and two sized cabinet gap extensions). Good radio reception and sound (don't expect boom box quality), but we were surprised to find that the product has an analog radio tuner, instead of digital. We had an older GPX which had digital tuning, so we were somewhat disappointed in this difference. A nice feature on this one is the programmable CD player you can choose which order tracks will play in or just choose random. And no problems with the MP3 player attachment/connection. Maybe I haven't figured out the trick yet, but the only minor complaint I have is that I can only rewind CDs with the back button, not skip back to the track start or choose previous tracks. The forward button works fine for both fast forwarding and skipping. If you want an easy to install and dependable little entertainment center for your kitchen or other work area, the GPX KC232S is a very good and economical product.

I bought this radio on sale for $ 29.99. Thought I got a deal until I installed it and turned it on. It has the worst speakers of any radio I have ever heard. There are no adjustments on the sound . The GPX I replaced had better sound than this one. It is out from under the cabinet and back in the box for returning. Should have bought the Sony I was thinking about buying in the first place. Sometimes a bargain isn't really a bargain. Buyer beware.

This is a piece of junk. It was easy to install and looked nice but the CD tray would not open. It has been returned. I guess you get what you pay for. The return for this company was a night mare. 2 weeks after they received the return I received the return shipping label and was told it would take 10 days to process the return. After I contacted them again I finally received my refund but not the shipping fee I originally paid.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. It's ridiculously easy to install. Kinda freaked me out that I was going to have to drill 4 holes that needed to line up. It come with a template and lining them up is no problem. The tuning is pretty sensitive but for fm stations it comes in pretty well. Am leaves something to be desired but we never listen to AM anyway. The speakers are those which you would expect on a $40 radio such as this. They sound good but not like a Bose system, and if you expect them to sound like Bose you need to get your head checked. The display can be the time or the station/input. The mp3 cradle gets pulled down from the back of the unit and spins. It's kinda funky but it gets the job done well enough.

Two knocks on this are the am reception and the sensitivity of the tuning wheel. But we never listen to am and we rarely change the station (at least for the radio this is replacing) so I'm not too upset about it.

After owning it for 2 weeks I'd buy this again. If you buy it expecting to look feel and operate like a $40 unit you will be happy.

Cheaply made. Very disappointed with the tuning of the radio stations. No buttons for preset channels, so you have to tune your station in whenever you want to change it. The ability to tune the channels in is tricky...very touchy. The sound is poor. I will most likely be taking it back, even though I have to pay a 25% re-stocking fee.
