Naxa NX-162 Projection Alarm Clock w/ AM/FM Radio

Naxa NX-162 Projection Alarm Clock w/ AM/FM RadioI returned this clock because I wanted a constant projection. This clock is very nice, but only projects when the snooze button is pushed. I gave a 5 star rating because the company was so very nice about the return and worked with me giving me my refund with no problems at all. I would do business with this company again.

I ordered this product because I thought it would project the time on the ceiling above my head in the middle of the night.

You must press the button on the top to make this happen and it only lasts a few seconds.

Not really helpful, when you must wake up enough to fumble for the button.

I received this projection clock and set it up. The strange thing about it was that it projected something other than what I had programmed into the clock. And it was backwards. It was like it had a second brain all its own. I contacted the shipper and they sent out a recall shipping label, and I returned it, however, they never sent a replacement.

BOUGHT 2 FOR THE HOLIDAYS FOR THE REASON OF THE PROJECTION (KNEW MY KIDS WOULD BE THRILLED, WHICH THEY WERE TILL WE SET THE TIME, ONE CLOCK IT SHOWS THE #2 (THAT'S ALL IT SHOWS)......AND ON THE OTHER CLOCK, IT SAYS 12:45 THAT'S GREAT IF IT WASNT 11:10 (WHEN CHANGED TIME, PROJECTION TIME DIDNT CHANGE AT ALL)

CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE SAID GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOU TIME MAKING A RETURN. UGH.

Nokia 3220 Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera--U.S. Version with Warranty (Silver)

Nokia 3220 Unlocked Cell Phone with Camera--U.S. Version with WarrantyI'm peruavian, bought this phone in Peru with movistar service...

PROS:

It looks nice and solid. I was very scared in scratching the screen (I've always done this in my past phones) and this one is incredible solid! the phone also felt down once, of course with no intention, and continue working normal.

It has cool features, you can personalize where to locate your quick options in the menu, so you get a very simple navigation. Finally i have to say that the battery is great...i can use it for 4 days with regular use and continues working.

CONS:

The internal memory is poor.

No USB cable included.

Pictures with low resolution(but normal in cell phones of its kind)

This phone is still BIG and heavy considering some other models.

For the price, durability and apparel this one is a good choice.

I've never made friends with nokia in the past, and i regret, beacuse this is a very good choice if you need a hard-everyday-use phone...simple and firm.

I've had this phone for just over a year now, and it has been a good phone, but after a year of use, its pretty shot. It operates fine, but the physical looks and features wear out very fast. The rubber side pieces were a nice little thing to have until they started to yellow and they all fell off. It doesn't support mp3 ringtones. However, I have never had a problem with the service and its been a great phone for texting and talking. Battery life is pretty good also. I absolutely love the user-friendly menus and screen features. Nokia has done a great job creating one of the best phone operating systems out there.

First a disclaimer. I am an unabashed biased Nokia phone user. They have better reception, better user interface, better reliability, and free PC Suite Nokia PC connection software(read this OUTLOOK/SYNC CONTACTS BACKUP).

This phone has a thoughtful alarm sequence and missed call/msg/alarm alert. It begins with vibrate, moves to vibrate+low ring, then vibrate+increasing louder ring, and finishes with occasional side light blinks if you never answer. Very pleasant non-irritating reminder.

The Contact Note length has been increased from previous Nokia Series 40 phones about 4 times. This is very nice if you use your phone to add extra info notes to your contacts, a very nice business feature. The PDA features have been expanded with TODO lists, Weekly calendar/appts view, Notes list, and Meeting/Memo alarm types.

The GOTO list has been expanded for customizable quick access to your most used phone functions. Contacts, Msg, Calendar, and Camera functions access are fixed on the navigation keys. Nice. The camera is good for email and 4X6 shots in adequate light only. Typical of these business phones.

Some reviews on the inet mention this phone is designed to attract the younger crowd because of its side lights and customizable 'electric' face plate option. Well, this may be, but for the rest of us practical users, without the option face plate, this is a very small and thin small business phone with side lights that blink when a msg/call is arriving and blink intermittently forever until you look at any missed msg/call/alarms. NICE!

I won't mention all the other features because they are covered in others reviews and are in the specs, so let me just say this is an excellent phone for anyone from the young to the small business person to the less experienced user. It covers most of the bases needed, and in a small, practical, feature laden platform.

Did I mention it has three ways to backup your precious and value contact/notes data base, tediously built up over valuable time; SIM CARD on board stores/backs-up to 256 contact numbers, SyncML Client to upload your full phone memory to free online backup/recover sites, and thirdly, Nokia's free PC Suite Windows software that makes your phone appear as just another external storage device you can 'Explore'!

You will like it if your heart is not set on an MP3 player and HiQ Camera combination device. More to go wrong so better separate in my opinion.

I have been very pleased with T-Mobiles service in S CA. You can use this phone as a no contract GO PHONE for 8.5 cents per minutes when you buy a T-Mobile SIM card and a 1000 minute card as low as $85. If you chatter a lot, then the free nights/weekends/faves minutes with contract and phone makes more sense. Hope this helps. :)

this phone has more features than i need, so i can only evaluate the basic functions which were fine. if it weren't for the bad service i'm getting from T-Mobile i wouldn't even dream of getting rid of it. I've had it over a year and never had any trouble with it. I used the camera in the beginning as a novelty but i don't use it much anymore, but it works fine.

I loved this phone when I got it. It lasted a year and I had no problem with it untill my son threw it in a glass of juice. If only it were water proof, it would be perfect. I've had a selection oh phones since this one and they didnt compare, so as of now I'm waiting on my new nokia 3220. The menu isnt as bad as one person said, and there are short cut menus. Also to adjust the call volume you have to be talking, just push the over button to the left or right. I loved this phone and I cant wait for my new one.

I bought this stereo tower because I have a small studio apartment and thought it would work great with the space that I have to use. I love it! It sounds great, and my neighbors say it has plenty of bass. It looks good and fits right in the corner that I had planned for it. Really it is very easy to use and set up. I love the remote. I can adjust everything I need to from the kitchen while I'm cooking. I mostly use it for my iPhone and iPod, but I have also started using it for the sound while I watch movies on my computer. All in all, I am very happy with it and recommend it to everyone. Thank you PYLE for a great speaker system at a wonderful price!

The tower looks awesome, love the modern look, all black.

Really like the ipad dock, and the ability to control the whole system with the remote control. Has an incredible sound, especially the 8" sub, has a lot of bass response for a speaker this size. This entertainment station is a sweet deal all around, I would recommend it.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase of this home entertainment tower. The tower looks great in my apartment, and with this entertainment system being totally self contained takes up minimal space. The sound produced from this is mind blowing! With the vertical ipad docking station i can play my favorite music, or watch videos, holds the pad secure, a perfect match. I love the sleek look, love this entertainment system. Awesome buy!

I just got this Pyle Home PHST96IPCW out of the box and got it set up and it sounds great. After reading some of the negative reviews I was a bit hesitant to spend $200 for something without first hearing and seeing it but I am very pleasantly surprised by the big sound from this unit. I read some reviews about there not being enough bass but it is only an 8" sub. It doesn't thump but that's not what I wanted in the first place. The instructions are a bit vague but all you have to do is get a 14 year old and they can figure it all out if you can't ha-ha. Over all it is a great sound system for an iPad/iPhone and way better than the little shelf units that often are in the same price range. I elevated mine and set it on a table and it sounds truly amazing!

We were very impressed with the Tower and docking station for iPod and iPad. Very classy looking and very sturdy. Basic and simple to operate and we love the remote as well. The sound is awesome, we use it outside in the yard and inside and it works great in both places. Very satisfied.

Screaming Meanie Timer and Alarm Clock with 120 dB Alarm

Screaming Meanie Timer and Alarm Clock with 120 dB Alarm
  • Three volume settings - 70 dB, 90 dB and 120 dB
  • Use as a timer or an alarm clock
  • BEACON function activates alarm for 10 seconds every 5 minutes
  • Internal battery tester , indigo backlight , removable belt clip, uses 1 9-volt battery (not included)

This product lives up to its billing. I have had other alarm clocks that claimed to use a 120 decibel alarm, but they only seemed a third as loud as this. When this thing went off the first morning I used it, it just about blew me out of bed, and all I could think was "make it stop! make it stop!" It sounds like about 4 home fire alarms going off at once except much louder and much more painful.

It's Sunday evening and I'll set the dang thing again, but for 15 minutes after my regular alarm goes off. I think I'll get up quickly to shut off the Meanie before it sounds--I really don't want to hear it ever again.

Buy Screaming Meanie Timer and Alarm Clock with 120 dB Alarm Now

I sleep right through my ordinary alarm clock, but setting my Screaming Meanie Model TZ-220 in the "Timer" mode and at "Medium" volume (90 dB) wakes me up every time. You have to press the circular button marked with the key symbol and the "Hour" and "Minute" buttons at the same time to turn off the alarm, which also helps me to wake up.

The 120 dB setting makes my ears ring, so I don't use it, but others who don't hear as well as I do may find it very useful.

I only give this product four stars because it's too easy to press the "key" button on it accidentally just after turning off or setting the alarm, which turns on the "Emergency" alert, which sounds continuously until you turn it off by pressing the same three buttons mentioned above. That's very annoying.

However, that's the only problem I have with my Screaming Meanie. This product enables me to wake up on time, every time, so I'm giving it four stars.

My husband is a truck driver and the screaming meanie is the only thing that can wake him up in an idling truck. Well, I decided to go on a run with him and he had that set (he could have just set a regular alarm, I wake up easily)... Before that time I have never heard of such an alarm.. Oh my lord!! 5am came very rudely to me.. I jumped up screaming and my heart racing and then trying to find what was making such a horrid sound.. As for my husband he just laid there laughing at me while I tried to get the sound to stop. He decided to be kind and shut it off... Now I stay home far far away from the road trips.. These things definitely wake the dead... So if you know some one that drives long hauls this would definitely help them wake up..

It has three volume levels:

70 decibels (Vacuum)

90 decibels (Lawnmower with engine)

120 decibels (Chainsaw with engine at full throttle)

At all three levels the sound resembles a smoke alarm.

The buttons on the front use unintuitive symbols instead of labels.

It has a "pre-alarm". The pre-alarm goes off 10 and 5 minutes before the real alarm. There is no way to turn off this "feature". You need to set the alarm 10 minutes ahead of the time you want it to go off.

It requires one finger to push the sleep button. It requires two hands and three fingers to turn off the alarm.

Once you turn off the alarm, the alarm time is lost and will need to be set again. When you set the alarm it will start from the clock time.

I'm not a "morning person". I tolerate the pre-noon hours in much the same way Superman would endure a kryptonite G-string -with lots of fidgeting and sweating and complaining about the enormous pain in the butt it's causing.

But some days, I have to "rise and whine", whether I like it or not. For those mornings, I need a boost to get up and at 'em. Or up and near 'em. Up and not drooling on 'em, at least. I'll take what I can get.

I bought this alarm because the reviews said it was LOUD. I'm perfectly capable of sleeping through three hours of beeping or NPR -or Bavarian honking yak polkas, for that matter -so I need an alarm that turns the wakey decibels up to eleven.

This one certainly didn't disappoint, blasting out enough noise yesterday morning to blow me halfway across the room. When I came to my senses and realized I hadn't been moved in my sleep to a 747 jet turbine convention, I set about turning the monstrous thing off.

Sadly, I had neglected to read the instructions the night before. So I didn't know how. And with all the racket, I couldn't figure it out, either.

For three hours, the alarm went off like an over-amped sonic lighthouse. The neighbors upstairs complained. The neighbors downstairs complained. Ditto the neighbors down the street. Some guy from the next town over got into his car, drove over and told me to keep it quiet already. Finally, mercifully, I fiddled the alarm into silence.

Until this morning, when it went off again. At least, I assume it did, because I'm getting all sorts of nasty emails and notes shoved under my door. But since yesterday, I can't hear a thing. So I slept til noon, can't use the alarm any more, and I'm packing it up and shipping it back. I just hope the battery runs out before I get it to the post office. Those postal workers are skittish enough, as it is.

Memorex MA4221 FM Clock Radio for iPod and iPhone

I rated this radio with 3 stars because of the difficulty setting it up. Since 1993 I have used Apple products both in the classroom and at home. At this time I own the latest Mac Book Pro laptop. But the directions for this radio were very difficult to read and to follow. Maybe larger print would help. Better organization would help. Larger circles for reference too. Apple products contain well written directions. These can be used as examples. By the way the sound wasn't great either. Using the iPod the music is excellent.

Soundesign 3160J Jukebox Alarm Clock

Soundesign 3160J Jukebox Alarm Clock
  • Plays one of six classic rock'n'roll songs
  • Wake up to your choice of alarm bells or songs
  • Each song has its own play button
  • Cool, retro u-shaped design with lighting tubes and six flashing, colored lights
  • Custom LCD Display

The picture of this jukebox alarm clock is a bit misleading. It's somewhat smaller than I expected and looks like a cheap novelty toy. But since we decorated one of our guest rooms as "The Music Room" this fits right in. It is battery operated, which is a drawback for an alarm clock if you really depend on waking on time! It does have provision for battery backup if the main batteries die.

The songs it plays are snippets of the original artists and are kinda fun.
