This is an awesome unlocked phone. We took it to Australia plugged in a local SIM card and away we went. The phone is also made well, works well, seems rugged. One caveat my daughter did not bring the original charger, since the plug matched her phone. Unfortunately, the phone did not actually accept the other charger, and it took some mix-and-match plugging to get it charged. So be sure to take the original charger with you when travelling.

It's not very often that you find such a wonderful multimedia device for such a low price,

I got this device mainly for the emulation purposes but was very surprised to see that it hosted a wide variety of other functions as well including a photo viewer, a radio broadcaster, music/video player and even a flash player, although only up to flash version 6 if I understand correctly. This is definitely not a gadget for the technologically impaired however as it does require a bit of technical know-how in order to get the full functionality out of the item. The biggest problem I found is sometimes the system doesn't pick up the rom files you put into it because it's looking for particular formats. Sega genesis in particular were bad. There is a dirty little trick to get this to work though. All you have to do is rename the files that aren't showing up with the correct extension and they run. (the extension is .smd) Other than that it works pretty well, the sound is a bit lacking coming out of the speakers the volume can get tricky as well as most of the controls for this are in the applications themselves not on the system. However, the system has a site dedicated to creating new software for the little gadget located here. . It has a few minor flaws such as the menu is written in engrish, and some of the 16 bit games get a little jumpy but overall a great product and well worth the money

I researched this little gizmo for months and debated about weather or not I should actually get it. My girlfriend ended up buying it for me for Christmas this year. Reviews online were mixed, but generally positive, so I am glad I did get it.

This little device will play just about any game you throw at it. Yes there are some games that won't run properly, but there are enough that do to make up for that.

The Gameboy Advance emulator is by far the best of the stock emu's that come on this device. NES runs good, SNES needs to be tweaked from game to game (frame skip), and the Genesis games all work great....if you can find the right file extensions for the Sega games.

The greatest part about this device is its "openness" Meaning, there are plenty of developers out there that have created/ported additional emulators for this item. Google is your friend when it comes to finding additional goodies for this device.

P.S. You do not need to install Dingux in order to get full enjoyment from this item. It works just fine with the OS that it comes with.

I really enjoy this emulator. The D-Pad is great, buttons work well and the interface is generally easy to use. My only problems that occurred with this item is the internal battery for some games (the thing that allows the game to fully function, clockbased events and battery save files also known as .sav). Don't let that confuse you with the battery on the emulator. I can play for 6 hours a day for 5 days and the battery is still over half full, which is a HUGE bonus. But you may need to run gba games through a patch to allow in-game saves. For some of you that may not be an issue, but for pokemon, clock based events (growing berries for example) don't work. Save states are fine, except when you beat the elite four and it there's an error while trying to save (it freaks out and thinks the file is deleted after you reset). Just make sure to patch the game and save state before the elite four and delete the .sav file for your pokemon game in the browser on the device before you actually beat the elite four. A little bit of work but afterwards everything works fine. And i didn't get a silicone case.....

Both my grandson's are very happy with this gift. The instructions were not english but they managed. All there other gifts were put to the side when they opened this gift. English would have been great, but they are very happy and that's all that really matters.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and I replaced our 15-year old kitchen radio with this--I like being able to cook while watching Netflix. We just purchased a small RV and I'm thinking about getting one for the RV as well. It was easy to install and I like that it charges the Ipad if it is plugged in. The speakers are OK, not Bose sound, but not too bad either. Overall the quality and functionality are OK--so, my feeling is that it is a reasonable value for the price. 4 stars, not 5 and not 3.

The iPad Player Dock works OK with (at least) iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, though the connector is not fix, so you have to use both hands to attach or dettach from the base.

You can control player functions through the remote control or the panel keypad very well, so the interfase connector is well managed.

Also the audio power and sound quality you get is better than many iphone/ipad player docks in the market.

Like others who have commented, I like the convenience and am able to watch Netflix, follow my recipes, play games with my kids, listen to music etc. Fits fine under my cabinet and is easy to use. I think it is a good value in the $50 $60 price range.

It swivels and folds away. My ipad slides in and out easily and seems very secure. I also like the fact that it has a charging cord, which some other brands don't, however, it IS clumsy to connect and disconnect. Even so, I would recommend it.

Other than that one complaint, I'm satisfied with this product.

Glad to see this unit now available on Amazon. I've had one for maybe 6 months now and it's performed flawlessly, feeding my Cambridge Audio Azur 840C CD Player as a DAC. The i-20's built-in digital audio convertor's not too shabby, either. In either configuration, used either with an outboard digital converter or using its own, the i-20 makes a very, very, very big improvement over the sound delivered by my iPod Classic 160GB and iPhone 4S.

Not the most robust build quality, but more than adequate and certainly more than in keeping with the i-20's price point. Note that it elevates one's iDevice pretty high up from 'ground level': low shelves may create clearance problems in some cases.

1/3 the cost of the closest competition, built-in D/A conversion as well!!! Highly, highly recommended.

First off, I have not used any of the analog outputs on this device at all, so I have no opinion there. I used the optical toslink output directly into my Cambridge 740C CD player optical input to take advantage of it's DACs. The sound quality is significantly better than utilizing the 3.5mm analog output from the ipod. So far, I have used the I-20 on a 2nd Gen Nano and on a 3G iPhone. The results are quite satisfying. The remote must be fairly well pointed at the ir port, but works nicely. I am impressed.

Only negative is that the I-20 isn't compatible with my 1st Gen Nano.

The main issues I have with this dock is analog Audio and Video NOISE.

If you use the Video outputs *together* with analog audio, noise will ruin the whole purpose of this supposedly Video/Audiophile device.

Fortunately, Video (Component and Composite are clean if you use it alone or with the the Digital outputs (Coaxial or Optical) Analog Audio is clean only without the video connections.

Now, if you buy this to get the pure digital audio signal out, then get the $39 Apple Digital AV adapter and hook the HDMI cable to a receiver. So you get clean Digital Audio and Video.

Also, if your Ipod Touch has a protective skin, it won't fit in the dock, so is annoying to remove it every time I use the dock.

The wireless remote range is not so good, can only control a very limited set of functions and it doesn't have an App for further functionality.

What is nice about this is that it is an actual dock to place and charge your device, better than just a cable laying there.

If this dock was around $50 i would recommend it. I would pay though the $100 bucks if the Analog signals Audio/Video were clean (free of noise).

Sooo, i guess this for someone that needs a dock with a remote plus digital audio out or someone that doesn't have a receiver with HDMI inputs.

I decided to return it and get instead the Apple Digital AV cable and also a Component cable. I then can connect to two different rooms and have analog and digital options. I lose though the Coaxial and Optical audio outputs. But I don't think there is too much difference with regular analog out to the Ipod Touch 4G and my Coaxial Speakers.

Also, you can get for this price an Apple TV dedicated to your Video Audio gear with the same digital audio quality and better remote control real 1080P video, etc, etc

I give it 3.5 stars, because of the noise issue, cost, customer support is almost non existent and the manual is poor.

Sounds great and is sturdy. Good value for the price (~$100), considering all the other digital docks are like $300+. With the BS hype about certain outboard D/A converters and the outrageous prices manufacturers are asking for them, it is nice to see a product like this. I didn't think it was real when I first saw it on Amazon, I thought for sure I'd get stuck having to pay too much for a Wadia or Teac (It's a sad thing when the audiophile hobby has been taken over by the stupid rich and/or the mentally ill, and the gear manufacturers have all jumped on the band wagon to exploit it (along with the magazines who review them) lets go buy some $500 power cords and tell everyone we can hear the difference). But I digress.

I'm using the analog out to the AUX in on my preamp and the quality is very good, the built in D/A converter seems to do the trick nicely even though my iPod files are not the high resolution ones.

I am an iPod speaker/charger junkie having owned the Klipsch iFi and Bose Sounddock while currently owning a Klipsch iGroove. I have been looking to get an alarm clock to wake-up to my iPod, but the iHome was not quite the audiophile quality that I was looking for.

Positives:

1) Design-If you have a modern bedroom area, this thing is a cool head-turner. Design is underplayed in this market, but it is very important!

2) Sound-The sound is excellent at low to medium levels for both the iPod as well as the radio. The highs are very distinct and bass is noticable.

3) Ability to wake up to any song you like out of thousands on your iPod. I'm not sure what the last reviewer was talking about. I have easily been able to wake up to any song I like on my On Time. I can wake up to Wham or U2 or Rob Zombie, it's my choice!

4) The On Time gradually increases the sound for a gentle wake up experience.

Negatives:

1) The interface is not that difficult, but it's more difficult than the traditional alarm clock. Once you figure out how to do it, you will be fine, but it does take some figuring out.

2) Sound at louder levels is not great, but I'm not sure that's the idea. This item has small room filling quality, but if you have a huge bedroom and want to crank up the sound this might not be for you.

3) The time could be a little bigger on the readout. When I wake up in the middle of the night to check the time, I like to look real quick and go back to sleep. The numbers could be bigger, like the iHome, but are not as bad as some others.

Overall, I would not let the negatives detract you. If you have seen this on display at the Mac Store and liked it, you will like it more once you get it home. It's cool, sounds great and interfaces with the iPod seamlessly.

A lot of talk has been made about the fact that you can only wake up to the first song in your library. At first, I thought this was not true, because I was able to wake to any song I wanted...then I updated to the newest iTunes and newest firmware for the iPod Video 60GB and BOOM---it only now plays the first song of the alphabetically first artist on the iPod. I called JBL and they said that I actually have to go back and re-install the old software and firmware in order to wake to any song I want! What? I went to the Apple Store and they said, yes, this is true. There is no way to fix this. This is a MAJOR glitch in a product that has great sound and a wonderful design. True, you can go in and re-name any song on your iTunes to be the alphabetically first artist and first song, but who really wants to do that? JBL should stick to making speakers until they can get it right. If you make this purchase, please be aware of this flaw that I was not!

Update 2: This thing crashes every month or so. The display shows gibberish. I have to pull the plug and batteries and then it restarts and I reenter the alarm settings. It happens often enough that I leave the batteries out to make rebooting easier!

Update: Since writing this review I've come across one alarm bug and one glitch:

The Alarm buttons have 3 functions: set, remove, and, silence alarm. The 3rd function is only active when the alarm has gone off. If Alarm 2 goes off, and you hit the Alarm 1 button in error, the 'silence alarm' function for Alarm 2 is no longer available. You have to turn off the JBL. I think a programmmer forgot to use a state diagram.

I had an alarm failure which at first I thought was a bug. It turned out that there was an internal iPod alarm set. If it went off before the JBL alarm the iPod would turn on, but of course no sound came from the speakers. When the JBL alarm went off the iPod then went from play to pause. In other words the JBL 'wake up' signal is the same as tapping the iPod play/pause button -it toggles that state. I've seen a few occasions where tapping the iPod button and the turning on the JBL music manually can cause some device confusion, especially because there's a slight pause between turning on the JBL manually and the iPod's response.

Also, I read one review that described the incompatibility of the current iPods with this device as an "Apple bug". I caution that Apple may not see it that way, and I suspect there will be no "Apple fix". My hunch is that Apple changed its control interfaces and the JBL was not revised to the new interface. That might be nasty of Apple (or not), but JBL should have noted this in their marketing materials and their web site.

If you have a newer iPod and want to use this device, you could try leaving the JBL "on", pausing the iPod, and then setting the internal alarm on the iPod. In other words, using the JBL as a simple external speaker rather than an alarm clock. Clearly, this is suboptimal and you'd want the JBL to be sold at less than half its original list price.

I'd rate this device as 2 stars for the 3G iPod (because of the alarm failure, see update above), and 1 star for the 5G iPod.

With the 3G it works as designed. It starts with the last song played. If the context is a playlist it runs through the playlist.

With the 5G it starts with the last song played, but it never plays it. It quickly switches to the first song in the Library. The vendor is said to know about this fatal bug, but they claim it's Apple's flaw. Doesn't matter -they don't address it in their online support site and they continue to sell the product. Unacceptable. I will avoid JBL products in future.

I'm keeping this one for now I use it with my old battery-dead 3G. When the 3G dies however, it will be strictly a speaker system, not an alarm clock.

Additional comments:

* It has a really dumb eerie blue glowing LED at the top. I guess that's for those who want to dream of alien abduction. It serves no purpose, it doesn't even illuminate the clock controls (that might have been useful). I taped over it.

* It starts quietly and the volume ramps up. You can't control this. That's the worst "feature" so far (and a surprise -so much for the Amazon reviewers!); I'd prefer disable this depending on how I arrange my playlist. A remote would have compensated a bit, but ... [update: In practice I've actually grown to like this alarm behavior, so I don't consider it a negative.]

* There's no remote. I decided that was ok because it's one less thing to lose, one less set of batteries, and one less place for designers to move controls to. This thing is, after all, an alarm. We don't get to sleep in. Ever. The volume ramping does make me miss this more than I'd expected however.

* The documentation is weak with multiple typos and grammatical errors. It doesn't tell you what the RDS On/Off setting does, for example. (RDS, I believe, is a system for encoding information in FM broadcast, such as time of day, song title, etc.)

* The sound is very good, even at near peak volume.

* The buttons seem flimsy and cheap.

* It has a big, heavy, wall wart power brick. At least the color matches.

I recently bought this item. It has great sound with loud and clear reception from both the radio and the ipod. It is relatively easy to use and user friendly. The only problem is, you cannot wake up to the song of your choice on the 5G video ipods (30 GB, 60GB). (On the older ipods, it works just fine.) However, on the newer ones, it will instead begin at the start of the entire library. It is not the system's fault, just a bug in the Apple software for the newer ipods.

When contacting JBL, here is the answer they gave me. Good morning and thank you for your inquiry. I can understand the concern regarding the JBL On Time. This issue is not actually an issue with the JBL On Time, but, a software issue with the Apple iPod. The iPod will not remember the last song played when you power on/off, switch inputs, wakeup, or set the alarm on the JBL On Time. It will default to the first song in the library, if you have the following iPod's with the following software:

iPod Nano software 1.1, 1.1.1

iPod Video software 1.1, 1.1.1

So, this system is great for looks and sound, but the only draw back in my opinion is the inability to wake up to any song you choose instead of hearing the entire library.

Here's my pro/con list as well as what could be done to improve this alarm clock.

Pros:

Blue LED Normally I hate the blue LED thing. Talk about lighting up a room these little lights are quite annoying. Thankfully JBL thought of this, there is a sensor on the left hand side which dims the display and overhead light when the lights go out. I have to give props for that.

Start Up Song Yes this will play whatever song you want as the startup song, you just have to read the manual. Start playing the song you want to hear, and hit the off button. It will start where it left off in the morning.

Sound Great quality.

Auto-setting clock Never have the wrong time, very nice feature.

Big Dock Connector Area I can leave my iPod in my agent 18 (clear plastic) case and plug it in. Very nice indeed.

Snooze Button Nice and big button right on top.

Cons:

Auto-setting clock I know this is a pro but it also was a con for me. It seems that the first radio station this clock picked was 4 minutes off. I wanted it to get the time from another station, but couldn't get it to skip. Finally had to use a FM Transmitter and block the bad station to get it to use another station. Quite annoying.

iPod Control There is no way to control the iPod from the unit. The only way to skip a song or choose another playlist is to change it on the iPod. I consider this quite sub standard.

Back Dock Connector I don't know if I got a bad unit, but if I plug my laptop into the back of this clock, it will not recognize the iPod.

Volume On the quietest setting, this unit is still a little loud for me in the morning.

Default to Beep If you remove (or neglect to put in your iPod at night) the default alarm is a beep. I should be able to set what to wake up to if the iPod isn't in the unit.

Things it should have for $200:

Remote Come on, no reason a remote shouldn't be included.

Power By Dock If I have the dock connector in the back, and I plug that into the wall, why can't that power this clock? It seems to me that this would allow for greater flexibility.

Better Instructions Still haven't found where it talks about what RDS is.

Playlist Per Alarm I'd like to set two different playlists as the separate alarms. There's no way to do this from the unit, again a let down.

Softer Sleep Sound You should be able to set a softer volume for the sleep mode.

5/8/07 I purchased a JBL On Time player very cool looking but there is a major flaw. When the alarm goes off, it automatically plays the first song in the library EVERY TIME, even though the manual indicates how you can set it to play any song you want...

JBL's answer? Following is the ridiculous answer from JBL tech support:

"Good morning and thank you for your inquiry. The issue is a software bug

with the iPods. The JBL On Time will default to the first song in the

library if you have the following iPods with the following software:

iPod Nano software 1.1 current

iPod Video software 1.1 current

The current fix is to downgrade the software to 1.0 (iPod Updater

2005-11-17). This download enables you to select any song to wake up to.

Please note, downgrading the software will not work with the new iPod

80gb Video or the 2nd generation iPod Nano."

Can you believe it?!? Yeah right, like I'm going back to the stone age with my iPod software.

To me, JBL needs to work with Apple to resolve this problem with future releases of the software, not make "valuable" customers back date software...

If you are an owner of the On Time product, I hope this helps. Please send JBL support an email letting them know how unsatisfied you are with their product support. Perhaps if they hear from enough of us, they will change there archaic ways...

If you are thinking about buying one, perhaps you should wait for JBL to become more responsible for their own customers' satisfaction...

If this sold for $50, I'd give it 5 stars. $80, 4 stars. At $130 though, I was expecting better sound quality. It sounds great at low indoor levels, but once you start cranking it up a bit the lows and highs are lacking.

I do like that I can take this with me anywhere (beach, camping, etc.), and that it uses AA batteries instead of a built-in or proprietary rechargeable battery. On a multi-night camping trip, as long as I bring enough AA batteries with me I can keep the tunes going. Note that it only charges the phone when plugged in, not when using batteries.

I use this with my Motorola Droid X running Android v2.3.3. The docking port is just the Micro USB connector for keeping the phone charged. Audio connection is made via bluetooth. I didn't need to download and install any app to be able to connect. iPhones and other bluetooth-compatible devices will work also (personally tested with an iPhone 4), and with the included cable you can connect just about any audio device. AC adapter is included. 4 AA batteries not included.

I got this not knowing what to think, thinking mostly that I wouldn't like it. I never thought that I had a need for something like this, but now that I have used it for a week, it's something I can't seem to live without. It fills a need that I honestly didn't know I had.

A bit of background: I listen to a lot of podcasts and music. I listen to podcasts on a portable media player, and listen to music via my Android phone using Amazon's own Cloud Player. Before getting this dock, I would use headphones with both of those devices, even when at home, because it was just convenient, and I really didn't have a convenient method of connecting them to a sound system. Doing so requires changing cables and swapping devices, and I just can't be bothered.

All of that said, this speaker dock is incredibly easy to use. The back of the device has an audio-in jack, and an included cable, that allows you to connect any device that has a standard headphone jack to it. Plug the cable into the back of the speaker dock, and connect the other end of cable to your device, turn-up the volume to "max" on the connected device, and turn on the speaker dock. Couldn't be easier. I leave the connecting cable connected to the back of the dock for instant access. I use this method for listening to all the podcasts I have on my mp3 player.

When it comes to my Android phone, the speaker dock has a bluetooth receiver. Pairing the device to my phone was easy and flawless. My phone recognized the speaker dock as a "stereo" headset/device. Once paired, I opened my Amazon Cloud Player, pressed play, and the music was transmitted to the speaker dock. It's very convenient, considering that you can sit anywhere in the room with the phone, and transmit music to this speaker dock sitting elsewhere.

In other words, you don't have to "dock" the phone. This allows you to continue using your phone for other needs while it transmits music to the dock. If you choose to dock your phone, that too works great.

Docking your phone is a bit tricky because it's a bit hard to guide the phone's jack onto the connector. The connector rotates on the base of the dock depending on the orientation needed for your phone. The dock has a rubber "rest" that the phone will lean against once docked, so the phone isn't supported by the jack. Also, there are two adjustable "feet" that you can raise to add support to the bottom edge of the phone, which keeps it from leaning "back" on the jack. The dock is ingenious that it slides back and forth, so you can center the phone, in the event the USB port is off-center. This allows for a "perfect" presentation when the phone is docked.

When docked, the phone will charge via USB. I recommend changing your phone's settings so that, when docked, the display stays on, and that the screen auto-rotates. Some devices have "docking" cradle apps that assist with this. Your mileage may vary.

Also, note, I did not have to download the recommended Fidelio software.

So...what about sound quality? I really like it, and I should point out that I'm really picky. The sound is naturally-tuned. It is perfect for voices, and therefore for podcasts. The sound has a good low-end, not boomy, but good for music. The midrange, especially voices, is fairly flat, and the treble is good for general music listening. In general, I'd describe the overall sound-quality as "natural and flat" -which is a good thing. Volume-wise, it puts out enough volume to listen to podcasts while wandering around the house to adjacent rooms. As expected, though, maximum volume is not recommended when listening to music (depending on the type). I am quite pleased with the sound.

I also love that it runs on four AA batteries, in addition to the included AC adapter.

So what keeps this device from being perfect?

First, there's no "mute" button for the volume. If you need to quickly mute the device, to take a phone call, you can't -you either have to power it off or hold the volume-down button to slowly lower the volume. A "mute" button, or a way to quickly mute (perhaps by pressing both volume buttons at the same time), would have been great.

Second, I'm not a fan of the fabric covering. The top of the speaker dock is mostly fabric, which means it's going to collect dust and slowly get that "grey" look over time. It will be very hard to clean. I would have preferred a glossy surface for easy cleaning.

Third, docking your phone covers the "Android" logo. It would be great if this logo were elsewhere, less prominently, on the speaker dock.

Finally, I wish it had a "release" button or lever to eject the phone. Pulling-up on the phone always worries me since I seem to be putting undue stress on the jack. I would much prefer for the dock's connector to "retract" or that the base would push the phone "up" away from the connector.

In general, though, I can't be happier with this dock, and I know it's something I will continue to use in my home several times a week.

Listening to either XM (usually political talk) radio or an Amazon Cloud album on the way home from work often results in an interruption right when things are getting interesting. Typically its to walk in the house. Poor me, you'd often find me sitting in the driveway for 20 minutes to hear things out. So I got the idea to get one of these units for my Samsung Android OS phone. They've been around for the iPhone I guess, but I won't own one of them for reasons I'll not expound upon here. Well, us Droid users now have a good selection of docks from Philips, assuming the others are as good as this one.

It fills the bill perfectly without paying for another XM subscription, assuming you already have an XM internet subscription that is. Now I just walk in and pop the phone on the dock and I hardly miss a thing. Sounds a whole bit bigger than it is too, not 5.1 sound mind you but great for camping, outdoor sports, the beach or as outlined. Decent bass, midrange and high end.

Although the directions tell you to install the Philips as well as Songbird software, I did initially but uninstalled them quickly as the OEM player on my phone works great and has a better user interface. Sirius works just fine too, all via bluetooth, as with any ear bud or headphone set up you might have. I'd guess that one could connect any Bluetooth device (like a laptop or tablet) but haven't tried it. I also added an equalizer app to the set up via Android Market that helps the sound a lot. Try it.

By the way, when it's on battery power it does not charge your phone, presumably to save the batteries. I doubt 4 AA's would do aa good job charging you phone anyway. Your phone runs on its battery, the dock on your 4 AA's to clarify. Since I'm using rechargeables now it's no biggie.

Just remember to plug it in using the included AC adapter if you can, to charge your phone.

The sound on this is very nice; you can play it quite loud (louder than is required to fill a large room) without distortion. And the bluetooth connection is a great plus--can easily hook it into just about any Bluetooth enabled device (including Apple products). My only gripes are 1) it's not rechargeable, so plan on running it primarily off the mains, and 2) it doesn't pack up as well as some other portable devices due to the piece of plastic that supports your device. Another plus is that the power supply is good from 100-240 v. meaning you can operate it worldwide. If you can always count on a place to plug it in, or only use it rarely with batteries, then it could be for you.

This is my first docking speaker, and I'm quite impressed with its ease of use, construction, and portability. Sound quality is average to slightly above average, thus the deduction of a star.

CONSTRUCTION: The AS351 comprises a glossy-plastic black base, which is fortunately quite fingerprint resistant. It has a solid weighted feel to it, and is unlikely to tip over. A panel on the floor opens to reveal provisions for 4 x AA batteries, which provides the ultimate in portability, and is a thoughtful touch. The back panel houses a power input, USB jack, and AUX input. With the AUX input, you can connect virtually any audio device. The "for Android" tag is a bit of a misnomer because the AS351 has such wide compatibility; as long as your device has Bluetooth 2.1 or greater OR an Aux output, you can use it with the AS351.

OPERATION: I've had poor experiences with Phillips software in the past, so I skipped the Songbird software. Fortunately, you don't really need it. I just turned on Bluetooth connectivity on my phone, had it search for Bluetooth devices, and it automatically detected and added the AS351. It took all of one minute to start streaming music from my phone (Samsung Infuse) to the Phillips. The physical controls on the dock are fairly basic; power on/off, bluetooth signal indicator, and volume up/down. That's all you need, because the volume and other song operations can be controlled from the streaming phone.

Unfortunately, the dock doesn't connect with phones that are paired with cases, and I found this aspect to be terribly inconvenient, as 100% of the time, my phone rests in a Casemate. Fortunately, this is offset by the Bluetooth streaming, but Phillips could have easily rectified this with a cheap solution, a longer and taller connector that compensates for the case thickness.

SOUND: I'd say the speaker dock sounds average, basically sounds like a computer speaker. Well, that's a little harsh, but it sounds like an above average computer speaker. Distortion is minimal at higher volumes though, so that's a plus. The cloth speaker cover is unfortunately a dust magnet as others have noticed, and it's not possible to remove for cleaning. For such a small package, the sound quality is decent.

CONCLUSION: For extreme portability and convenience, look no further than the AS351. The price is a bit hefty, but for such a convenient package, it's worthwhile.
