- AM/FM digital synthesized tuner
- 5 random memory presets
- Wake to radio or buzzer alarm and ease into the day as you prefer
- Back-lit LCD display.
- Forward/reverse time setting
I never found the setup difficult to be honest, pretty straight forward and methodical. The reception was never an issue but I've always used it on 'buzz' mode for the alarm and rarely use it as a radio though it sufficed very well in that department.
It's woken me up every morning, never lost a beat. The alarm is not the most subtle in the world but that's why they call it an 'alarm'. The snooze is very effective and just what yo need.
It is testament to the superior Japanese build quality that this unit is still going strong, still looks like new and is as mechanically tight as the day I first got it. Asthetically still pleasing and looks modern even 15 years later.
If you want something done right give it to SONY and the Japanese.
Money very well spent. This model has been discontinued by Sony! No one has it available to buy. Amazon had one which saved the day for me. I had this same model but it stopped working. Sony does not have a replacement model with these great features am/fm digital synthesized tuner with five random selected memory presets! No other manufacturer has a radio with those features! I searched the online universe for a memory preset clock radio none available. It is a simple concept, like the car radio, select your station with an up and down button and preset it. Believe me NO clock radios are available with this feature, they all have a dial wheel. This clock radio is great next to your bed, stations can be changed without fumbling with a small wheel in the dark.
