I gave the iLuv Stereo speaker dock to my wife and she really likes the product. It is compact and so far has been very dependable with a good quality sound. Volumne seems to be low for outside use though. I was directed to this product by my daughter who is much more attuned to this type of product than I, and she and/or her friends have researched or experienced different types and models. I thought it was value priced compared to others.

I've hunted for the right box for the right price for awhile now. I really like the iLuv, as it's compact and the sound quality is quite decent. Certainly not the same as hooking into a Bose or the likes, but it works pretty well.

A downside is that the dock connector isn't adjustable, so if you use an Otterbox you either need to remove the device from the box, or use a cable connection instead.

I really enjoyed my iLuv speaker dock for 3 months. Then one day.... Nothing. It just quite working. No reason. It sits beside my bed so I don't understand what could have happened. Very disappointed in the product to only last 3 months.
