The screen on this alarm has three settings...no backlight, dim and bright. Without a backlight on, you can't read the clock face in a dark room. With the dim backlight on, it was too bright to sleep next to. If you're only using it for the projector, the projected image worked fine at night, but if you're planning on looking at the clock at night to tell time, there's no way to further "dim" the dim setting. It was way too bright for me.

Based on the "rotation" feature I really have to give this 5 stars! My only wish is that the lighting was in the color of "blue." The red is still nice though. The radio is loud enough. You can set two different alarms which is nice! Great purchase!

The projected display is great. I love being able to just glance up at the ceiling to see the time when I wake up in the middle of the night.

This clock is great for those who want to know the time in the middle of the night but don't want to fumble with buttons in the dark. It projects a large image that is easy to read from a good distance. The clock's backlight can be turned off, keeping the room nice and dark.
