This radio is unsuitable for use in a motor vehicle, as far as I can tell. I went through TWO of them, and both of them SHUT THEMSELVES OFF and FORGET EVERYTHING in the presence of ANY electrical noise. Since the intended application is Marine, one would think that this radio would be at least as robust as a CAR radio, but it's much, much, worse. DO NOT BUY THIS RADIO unless you are confident that you have a VERY LOW NOISE electrical environment. (My qualifications: Masters in Electrical Engineering from Cornell and many many years working with vehicle electrical systems.) I'd give zero stars but Amazon won't let you give less than one star.

Reception = poor, often static even wiht good signal stations

Clock cannot be left as the visiable display'clock minutes apparently cannot be set (no instructions ant where on setting clock)

During the summer, we like to take the deck boat out to the middle of the lake and have cook outs. For a while we just brought along a little boom box, but I finally decided it was time to move up. I already had a receiver from a friend, and I just needed some speakers, so I bought these. These Pyles were easy to install, and since I've used them I've noticed that they produce a very high quality of sound. I turn the volume up to about 3/4 max capacity and have yet to hear any crackling or strain. They're supposed to be waterproof too, and although I haven't been unfortunate enough to see if this is true, it's nice to have that promise.
