Nice looking clock but unfortunately, can't keep time if its life depended on it. Within a week it was running 30 minutes faster than my other clocks. Bought it as a Xmas gift for my wife and now its too late to return it. I plan to contact the manufacturer to see if there is anyway to adjust it.

My first impression is that the build quality reflects the "modest" price. Switches rattle and feel loose and the plastic is light and thin, but you should expect that. The red display is clear and bright enough.

Sound quality reflects the price as well. It seems there is a left and right speaker, but they distort easily with any volume above half and their range is a little lackluster. The tuner is also hit and miss, and you need steady fingers to hit your station if you don't live right next to the broadcast antenna. I haven't had the radio long enough to tell whether or not the tuner wanders once set. For ten bucks, it seems to accomplish all the tasks of an Alarm Clock Radio, which is fantastic for Coby's engineers. I couldn't have done that.

However, on the second day, the alarm did not go off even though it was set correctly. Later testing confirmed the alarm function is now broken. I think this happened to another reviewer. It might be a worthwhile investment to go for a higher quality clock, since I feel like most people will need the alarm function and not actually use this for music listening.

I bought this to use as a daily alarm clock. It worked fine for the first couple of months, about three I'd say. Now, although the alarm indicates that it is set, it doesn't go off. Not a very good deal, I'd say, even at this price. There isn't much other reason to own a clock radio. Next, I think I will try a Sony.
