Well I just installed it today and for the price it is a great stereo. The installation manual was no help, oh wait thats right ,there WASN'T ONE! You'll have to just go off of your old stereo and just match up color to color.After it was all hooked up the DVD had no picture because of the safety in it so you can't watch a movie while you drive. So again with no installation manual it was trial and error to get the picture to come up, was finally able to figure it out. In the source menu there are alot of options, such as bluetooth, but I couldn't figure it out! There is a Mic on the front of the stereo, but have not been able to get the bluetooth function to work. If there is no bluetooth function then don't put a bluetooth function icon in the menu. Other than that the picture quality for the DVD is great and the sound quality is excellent! Overall it is a great buy.

Ok first off im no professional by no means in car audio, but i know how to put wires together, and i do consider myself a professional in sound related items. So I feel plenty qualified to review this car dvd player stereo crap box.

1st grip bought from amazon which i LOVE and always will continue to shop but they dropped the ball here they have no record of me purchasing this so i cant return it. but that is forgiven.

second this has HORRIBLE sound quality. all bass no treble or mid. and before you say anything i was so happy with my sony gtx before i moved it to another vehicle.

after playing with the buttons noticed that the wires that were supplied with unit that are color coded AND clearly LABELED are completely wrong(ie plus of right front and +of left rear were together labeled as left front +/-)

after serveral painstaking hours of trial and error im left with still horrible sound.

now I have 4 iphones in my house hold (1st gen, 3gs,4,4s) and with every one when i plug in supplied iphone cable there is this ground loop style hiss. and half the time they dont read.

radio tuner is subpar but cant complain

aux in is a joke you cant adjust levels at all

factory EQ settings are a joke also

blue tooth is non exsistant with unit

cd quiltiy is subpar also

the display controls are bulky and very out of date for such a new unit.

touch panel freezes frequently

very cartoonish icons and sucH

I was reading on another site review and someone said it looked like it would fit in as a prop of nightrider

all in all bad unit. knew i was taking a chance when i bought i, didnt realize that the unit sucks so bad

PYLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT TECHS ARE EXTREMELY RUDE, LIE AND INSULT YOU OVER THE PHONE. Used to think pyle was ok now im never buying another product again!

Great stereo for the price. Decent picture and sound. But when attached to ipod, there is a substantial amount of background noise and could def use a few extras, like some sort of visualization to accompany the music.

What can I say.... Well it works like it should, picture is very clear and crisp, sound is GREAT

oh yeah, it is made by Pyle yes and it is pretty nice for the price being under 200 bucks.

I also bought the koolertron backup camera, SWEEEEET it was 18 bucks here on amazon . The only thing the manual does not tell you about a few wires and where they go or what they do??/

such as IR in, A/D A/D grnd, and the reverse wire.

I did not use any of those and the unit is great right out of the box. Packing was good too.

If I had another vehicle that did not already have a in dash dvd player I would buy another.

for great sounds and playing vids or even if you wanted to hook up a game system you can, as it has audio and video inputs.
