Updated review 10/21/2012. This thing worked fine with my original iPod touch. Some time later I get a iPhone 3GS from work and iHome didn't support it officially (according to their website). After some fussing with it I got it work. I now have a 4S and it works fine.

This is a great small alarm clock that won't take too much space and is good looking. The sound quality is great. It has two separatae alarms which is a great feature. You can adjust the backlights to 3 different settings.

Con There's no automatic setting to turn off the alarms on the weekend, so if you forget to turn the alarm off on Friday, you'll be waking up early on Saturday!

After my computer died on me, I realized how much I relied on it to play music while I did everyday things like clean, cook and just to listen to music after a long day of work. I also realized that my phone alarm was no longer powerful enough to wake me up. Thus I headed to the local BB&B and check out the competition for an alarm clock that will both wake me up as well as play as a decent stereo (I'm not too needy on bass or EQ so something that wouldn't buzz or give my music a static background were the bulk of my qualifications). And what should I find but this super-cute, super-cheap alarm/stereo perfect for my IPod Nano 4G. I plugged it in and the correct date/time flashed on (and this was on daylight savings time day). Then the alarms were super easy to figure out with the idiot-proof manual. Finally the true test was the sound...absolutely amazing! And with a volume range that goes from lullaby to fist-pumping, in other words, perfection. It's only been 2 days, but I can find nothing wrong with this little guy.

This alarm clock is everything I wanted and more. Great sound, small footprint, charges my iPhone, has dual alarms. Most importantly to me, you can adjust the brightness of the led backlight from bright enough to walk to the bathroom to OFF. I love this feature, as some are so bright they keep me awake. If you are an insomniac, try this alarm clock! Turn it off to keep you from clock watching when you are having trouble sleeping, then simply tap the snooze bar to turn on the backlight if you need to check the time.

The only reason it's not five stars is that for a while, I couldn't figure out why my alarm would sometimes not go off: if your alarm is on and you pick up your iPhone from the dock YOUR ALARM WILL BE CANCELLED. now that I know this, it's no biggie, but if you sleep during the day or take call at night and might answer your phone without remembering to turn the alarm back on, set a back up alarm on your phone just in case. This is the only time my alarm has not woken me. I love it so much in spite of this that I am buying a second one for my bathroom, and maybe a third for my husband if he's nice. :-)

Display is very WEAK. You can barely see the time at night and i always have to get close to the clock to take a look. Rest works OK. When iPhone is docked, it won't allow for buzzer or radio to work for alarm, only music from your own Ipod/Phone. Overall not bad but you can get a better product for the price
