This is the second Midland weather radio I have had and the speaker has gone out yet again!!! Luckily I also have an app on my phone which gives me weather alerts. I'm not sure what the defect is that causes the speaker to go out, but be aware and check it regularly. I will not purchase another.. My family is to precious to me to depend on a poorly made product.
