Energizer Max Alkaline Batteries

Batteries... D-Cells... They were fresh and had plenty of time left before they expired. What more do you need to know? One tip though, I found it's cheaper to buy them at Home Depot, but buying here is a good alternative if you are strapped for time.

For the first time since I was a kid I have had batteries corrode and ruin my equipment. This time it happened to my very expensive Mag-lite 3 Cell and 2 Cell L.E.D. flashlights. These Energizer batteries have "Energized" me to never buy anything made by this company ever again. My batteries were part of an 8 pack and the 3 unused batteries in the 8 pack were also corroded.

This reminds me of what "Burgess" batteries would do to anything you put them in. That company has long since gone out of business.

I emailed them about what happened to my flashlights and the rest of the 8 pack of unused batteries. 10 days later via U.S. Mail they did offer to repair or replace them and even included a prepaid label to send my flashlights to them for evaluation. I was able to clean them up enough to get them working again before I received the prepaid shipping label. I sent them another emial that I was able to get them working again and asked for tips on removing the rest of the corrosion. A week later they mailed me a coupon to cover the cost of the 8 pack of batteries, up to $15 and a letter from their technicians with tips on cleaning them up further. I am pleased with their response to my problem. Maybe a little scared to use their batteries again but now I know how they honor their guarantee. I will give them another shot. I will give the service department 5 stars and will up the overall rating to 3 stars.

Don't know about you but I am always looking for that replacement battery that I used last week or before. I wanted a phone that would let me know when a new message came in on the AT&T landline voice mail. This phone works well. A new call light turns on when a new message arrives and goes off when the message has been heard & you hang up from the voice mail. I set the voice mail button to call the AT&T message number, enter the password and then play new messages. phonenumber,password #,1 I did have one problem. During a power failure (I don't remember if I had the batteries in the phone or not) the phone lost line 2.

After trying all the phone settings I could to fix the problem with no success, I called the manufacturer. I left my phone number for a call back and with 30 minutes Arthur called back. He quickly fixed the problem by telling me the commands to set the phone back to the factory settings. Excellent phone, excellent customer service.

There are lots of phone settings to work with other phone systems.

I saw this for sale at a local store, so I thought I would do some digging for information. Unfortunately, there is almost zero. It doesn't say it anywhere online or on the box, but this will indeed charge your iPhone 3G. It's possible that they did not want to pay for licensing. Since it will charge the 3G, it should charge all of the new non-firewire iPods (Nano 5G, etc).

It's nice and compact, but certainly sturdy. Once you take a leaf through the instruction manual, it's very easy to use. Not one of those things I recommend to start pushing buttons feet-first, because you'll probably be woken up at 2:30am by accident.

What else can I say about it? It charges my iPhone, plays pretty well (a 5.1 system this isn't), has an aux-in for a Zune, etc, has dual-alarms with 3-4 different options each. If you're looking for a cheap replacement for your firewire-charging alarm clock, this is a good choice.

This item is great. It fits good on a night table and doesnt take up much space. The only issue is that you must remove the black plastic piece that surrounds the mounting jack and replace it with the one your IPOD came with. If you dont have that piece the IPOD may not seat right and it wont work. Once we figured it out it started working.

I browsed for weeks to pick out some choices for my Christmas present and I'm glad my husband chose this little clock radio. It has several good features and only one that I'd change if I could. First the good things. It's small and leaves me room for books on my nightstand. It doesn't have a lot of hideous stylish flourishes that only add bulk. It's a clock radio not a sculpture and I like that. My iPod Touch fits easily into the dock and charges quickly. A removable adapter's installed that you may have to pinch out depending on your iPod model. The stereo sound isn't bad for a $30 radio and I like the digital tuner. We live in a mountainous ravine and have a lot of reception problems, but this radio picks up more stations than our component system. The time display isn't so bright that it lights up the room. The snooze bar is long and doesn't feel like any other button good for flopping fingers in the morning. There are two alarms and you can wake to iPod, radio, or electronic alarm. The battery backup's nice since our power frequently goes out in storms, but you have to supply your own 9-volt battery. The only thing I'd fix would be a way to adjust the volume on the electronic alarm. It's so loud it'd wake the dead. I like to set the alarm as my backup in case I sleep through the music, but the alarm's so loud that I jump in bed when I hear it. If you sleep through alarms, though, this might be you cup of jolt. Recommended!

This alarm clock is easy to operate with buttons that make sense and are easy to press even when half-asleep. Also, it is one of the only ones out there that has the numbers light up, not the whole background, so you can see the time but the light doesn't keep you awake. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the one I bought died after 24 hours and I had to send it back to the manufacturer. However, they sent me a new one in return, so despite the inconvenience I guess I can't complain. It was worth the wait. Loving it! It looks great too.

I've been looking for a new alarm clock for quite a while. I bought the iHome a few years ago, but stopped using it in favor of a much older alarm clock because of the back-lit numbers. That was the main appeal of this alarm clock. The numbers are green, so it doesn't make your room bright at night and you are still able to see what time it is, even if your eyes are not quite awake.

This comes with an adapter to make the iPod Touch fit into the top slot. I have an iPod 5g, but you have to have your own adapter if you have anything other than the Touch. I had to pry the Touch adapter out with a knife because it was set into the unit so firmly. This unit will also charge the iPhone, although the iPhone makes sure to inform you that the alarm clock is not made to go with the phone.

The sound on the alarm clock does not get very loud, so if you want to use it to listen to your iPod, don't expect too much--it has that alarm clock sound to it. However, as an alarm clock, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. It has two alarms, both of which will wake you to a beep, the radio, or the iPod. The radio tunes digitally on the face of the clock, rather than with a dial. I had trouble getting radio stations to come in clearly, but it helped when I set another object on top of the alarm clock or rearranged some objects on my nightstand.

Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase. It charges my iPod, and wakes me up. The buttons are easy to push and find when you've just woken up, especially the snooze button. The radio function is not the best, but I can live with that. And it doesn't have that annoying back light that so many alarm clocks seem to have now.

Sony ICF-C25 - Clock radio

This is a pretty decent clock. 9 minute snooze is better than 10, I think. I had a clock once with an adjustable sleep timer. This one is fixed at 59 minutes.

I think I've had this clock for 20 some years maybe more. It still works just fine. Problem is my pet rabbit chewed thru the power cord. Have been looking on Amazon for a new clock radio. I must have analog volumn for the radio part. The digital tuners turn the clock on in the morning starting on volumn setting 10 or 12 TOO LOUD. With the volume dial, I can set the volume and have it stay at that volume. I also love that when using the radio to wake up, it plays for two hours, then resets itself. This means if I want to sleep in on the weekends, I can go back to sleep to the radio playing. If it plays for 2 hours then shuts off in the middle of the week, I know I am running really late!

And here is what I like about this clock that made me desperate to find a new one. In shopping for *newer* clocks here, I did not understand the "auto set" feature that will not allow me to set my clock to my own time myself..?? And "auto DST". Maybe I am just a control freak, but I can do that myself, thank you.

This clock also has red numbers on a black back-ground which makes it easy to see and not too bright at night. Has a battery backup 9 volt. Snooze bar is big & by itself. And it is a slide-bar to turn on & off, so if I want to go back to sleep without the music playing, it is easy to turn off with my eyes closed.

And lastly, there is a "sleep" button which will turn the radio on for about an hour if I want to go to sleep with the radio on.

Love this, and I am SO glad I could find another one here on Amazon!!!!

This phone is truly wonderful! I went through several Nokia cell phones and this one is the best one of them! I had the Nokia N81 which is Great! yet I was always troubled with writing my messeges or the websites addresses...etc. Therefore, I started fishing for a devise with a seperate Keypad that enables me to write freeely with no need to press the same key more than once and consume my time hence. This was the ONE!! it is not only easier to write but faster. I like the backlight that lets me seed my through the dark nights. It is so easily conducted and teaches you step by step what to do. One feature that I truly love is the wireless network detection. I 've been in several places with wireless networks and the device was incredible not to mention it was able to download and open attachments I wasn't able to see in N81. So this one wins. I am still exploring it I've just owned it. However I am growing to like better and better. it is worth it :)

In all fairness, this is one of the best smart phones on the market. I've owned the iPhone and many others, and by far, the Nokia E90 is the best. This phone can blow through an email like a hot knife threw butter, and lets see the iPhone do video conferencing, yeah thats what i thought. The only downside to this phone is that it is heavy, heavier than pretty much any other phone on the market. But man is it sweet. Battery life is fantastic and no other cell phone can match what this phone can do. Your going to spend a pretty penny to get this phone but you won't regret it once you do. Nokia for life!

I bought this to replace my old alarm clock. It has a sleek design that takes up very little space. It has two alarms and can be set to radio, beeps or songs and has an adjustable snooze setting. The built in radio works well and there's a sleep setting so that if you like to fall asleep to the radio you can have it automatically shut off after a certain amount of time.

It has an adjustable brightness level, but I found its default/highest level to be suitable. At that level it's bright enough to see in the dark, but not bright enough to keep me up. The alarm is easy to wake up to and gradually gets louder on the beep setting. It automatically set itself to the correct time and date as soon as I plugged it in, all I had to do is set the time zone. It has a DST feature that can be turned off or on.

The only feature lacking is the ability to customize the alarm for either weekdays, weekends or both. It's not a big deal, especially with two alarms but it would have been nice. Overall I'm very pleased with this alarm clock.

Decent alarm clock for the price.

Pros: inexpensive, preset time, dst auto adjust, battery backup for power failure, easy to tune radio stations, easy to read display, brightness of display is adjustable.

Cons: Alarm "A" can be set to chime or radio, Alarm "B" can only be set to chime or an electronic tune. Both alarms cannot be set to the radio. Cannot adjust or view the alarm setpoint unless the alarm is turned on, so when you pass the current time the alarm activates. Radio sound is poor but in line with the price of the alarm clock. The snooze can increased from 10 min to 20 min to 30 min etc, but if you hit the snooze button twice while initially silencing the alarm, you go straight to the 20 min snooze.

Overall: a good alarm clock for the price but I would have paid more for a full featured clock radio had I know its limitations up front.

The item description is very accurate. If you want a dual alarm clock radio similar to those from 10 years ago, that is exactly what you will get and that is why I ordered it. Nothing fancy, just basic but with the Sony dependability. There are a few nice things though the time is preset, options for the dual alarms sound, adjustable brightness, battery backup, very easy to operate and the AM radio actually works well, unlike other clock radios. This clock radio has no frills but for the price, it is good and dependable.

I have been using this alarm clock for 6 months now and I couldn't be happier. After years of searching for the right alarm clock I finally found it.

Positives:

1) I can see the display! I have moderately poor vision (glasses prescription is -3.75) and if I wake up in the middle of the night I can clearly see the time with this clock at my bedside. The green light plus the large numbers are very clear.

2) The progressive alarm wakes up even my heavy-sleeping husband. The first few beeps are slow and they gradually speed up to grab the attention of the heaviest sleepers.

3) You don't have to set the time! What more can I say? You set the timezone, plug it in, and it sets the time. It even catches daylight savings.

4) If the power goes out the small battery saves your alarm settings so when the power comes back on, the clock resets itself and you still have your alarms ready to go. This has saved me from being late to work more than once after a late night power outage.

5) The display light is adjustable. I've had green/blue alarm clocks before and the display was so bright it practically light up the whole room. The dim setting is fine at night, I can see it but it's not acting like a flood light, and I can still see the display just fine during the day too on the dim setting. Though during daylight hours I do have to get a little closer to the clock to see it.

6) I love the full 10 minute snooze. I don't understand why other clocks have a 7 or 9 minute one.

7) You can turn off the alarm when it's in snooze-mode, you don't have to wait for the alarm to go off again.

Neutrals:

1) The radio isn't great, lots of static and the speakers don't sound perfect. But I wasn't buying a radio, I was buying an alarm clock so that doesn't really matter to me. If you want a radio go buy a radio. *shrug*

2) The alarm isn't terribly loud. This is counter-acted by the progressive alarm beeping.

3) It's a little bit large, but for the big display numbers I assume that's kind of necessary.

Cons:

I really don't have anything bad to say about this clock.

One other note:

Some people have mentioned in their reviews that you cannot set the snooze back to 10 minutes if you go too far. If this happens wait until the snooze display clears off (takes a few seconds) then re-hit the snooze button, this will reset it to 10 minutes.

I feel like a complete goof for reviewing an alarm clock, but I love this one. I have had 4-5 alarm clocks in the past few years that I have either gotten rid of or just tolerated. The old alarm clock that I have been using for the longest time wasn't working properly so I bought this. I couldn't be happier. You can intuitively figure out how to program it w/o a manual. The plastic is a slightly shiny and nice looking; the face is very clear. The two alarm options were a requirement for me. The 1st allows a tone or radio and the second allows a tone or a weird melody tune.... thing. I like the buzzer because it is a little higher pitched than I have heard on so many alarms and SIGNIFICANTLY less jarring in the morning. It's not a ENNNNHHH ENHHH ENHHHHH!!!!; it's more of a beep beep... beep beep, similar to a watch. It doesn't jar me out of bed and immediately stress me out in the mornings like most other alarms. The time auto set to DST and is powered by some kind of cell battery that is included (no 9 Volts). Several brightness options are there. I would have preferred another slightly dimmer brightness setting because sometimes I am very sensitive to light, but that is a nit picky detail. Regardless, the lowest setting is lower than most other alarm clocks I have seen / used. The price was below twenty five, which was a bargain. The radio is clear and free of static, the tuning is adjusted vial dial (vs. buttons). The alarm programming can also be done both ways and fast forwarded in EITHER direction (vs. just fast forward and slow backward).

I would recommend this to a friend solely due to the more friendly buzzer, let alone the pleasant look and the ease of programming.

Glad to see this unit now available on Amazon. I've had one for maybe 6 months now and it's performed flawlessly, feeding my Cambridge Audio Azur 840C CD Player as a DAC. The i-20's built-in digital audio convertor's not too shabby, either. In either configuration, used either with an outboard digital converter or using its own, the i-20 makes a very, very, very big improvement over the sound delivered by my iPod Classic 160GB and iPhone 4S.

Not the most robust build quality, but more than adequate and certainly more than in keeping with the i-20's price point. Note that it elevates one's iDevice pretty high up from 'ground level': low shelves may create clearance problems in some cases.

1/3 the cost of the closest competition, built-in D/A conversion as well!!! Highly, highly recommended.

First off, I have not used any of the analog outputs on this device at all, so I have no opinion there. I used the optical toslink output directly into my Cambridge 740C CD player optical input to take advantage of it's DACs. The sound quality is significantly better than utilizing the 3.5mm analog output from the ipod. So far, I have used the I-20 on a 2nd Gen Nano and on a 3G iPhone. The results are quite satisfying. The remote must be fairly well pointed at the ir port, but works nicely. I am impressed.

Only negative is that the I-20 isn't compatible with my 1st Gen Nano.

The main issues I have with this dock is analog Audio and Video NOISE.

If you use the Video outputs *together* with analog audio, noise will ruin the whole purpose of this supposedly Video/Audiophile device.

Fortunately, Video (Component and Composite are clean if you use it alone or with the the Digital outputs (Coaxial or Optical) Analog Audio is clean only without the video connections.

Now, if you buy this to get the pure digital audio signal out, then get the $39 Apple Digital AV adapter and hook the HDMI cable to a receiver. So you get clean Digital Audio and Video.

Also, if your Ipod Touch has a protective skin, it won't fit in the dock, so is annoying to remove it every time I use the dock.

The wireless remote range is not so good, can only control a very limited set of functions and it doesn't have an App for further functionality.

What is nice about this is that it is an actual dock to place and charge your device, better than just a cable laying there.

If this dock was around $50 i would recommend it. I would pay though the $100 bucks if the Analog signals Audio/Video were clean (free of noise).

Sooo, i guess this for someone that needs a dock with a remote plus digital audio out or someone that doesn't have a receiver with HDMI inputs.

I decided to return it and get instead the Apple Digital AV cable and also a Component cable. I then can connect to two different rooms and have analog and digital options. I lose though the Coaxial and Optical audio outputs. But I don't think there is too much difference with regular analog out to the Ipod Touch 4G and my Coaxial Speakers.

Also, you can get for this price an Apple TV dedicated to your Video Audio gear with the same digital audio quality and better remote control real 1080P video, etc, etc

I give it 3.5 stars, because of the noise issue, cost, customer support is almost non existent and the manual is poor.

Sounds great and is sturdy. Good value for the price (~$100), considering all the other digital docks are like $300+. With the BS hype about certain outboard D/A converters and the outrageous prices manufacturers are asking for them, it is nice to see a product like this. I didn't think it was real when I first saw it on Amazon, I thought for sure I'd get stuck having to pay too much for a Wadia or Teac (It's a sad thing when the audiophile hobby has been taken over by the stupid rich and/or the mentally ill, and the gear manufacturers have all jumped on the band wagon to exploit it (along with the magazines who review them) lets go buy some $500 power cords and tell everyone we can hear the difference). But I digress.

I'm using the analog out to the AUX in on my preamp and the quality is very good, the built in D/A converter seems to do the trick nicely even though my iPod files are not the high resolution ones.

Philips AJL750 Kitchen Clock Radio 7 TV

DO NOT get this tv if you have satellite tv...we did...installed, drilled holes thru all the cupboard to get the dish wires hooked up and it wouldn't work...called 3 different numbers and finally got a guy who said that it is not compatible with satellite tv...now I have a cupboard full of holes and still have no tv in my kitchen. NOw I have to repackage the whole thing and return it.....not fun!!! Not too keen on the customer support either!

Easy to assemble, great pic, great sound, docking for my phone (Google G2) so I can listen to my downloaded music. Great for my kitchen while I'm cleaning or cooking/baking.

Be warned that you will not get the Ultra brand of Duracell. If you go to their website (Duracell) you will readily see that the standard Coppertop are inferior to the Ultra type. The standard Duracell AAA batteries are model MN2400 whereas the Ultra are model number MX2400.

I ordered these Ultra batteries and received Coppertop batteries, so I returned them and asked for a replacement. Amazon shipped Copppertop again. I will return again. I had not read the other reviews because I have used Ultra batteries before and love them. They last much longer than the Coppertop. As I went to review these, I noted that other customers noted that the image for this product does indeed show Coppertop and not Ultra. So I have written Amazon to alert them to this error. In the meantime, do not order these batteries until Amazon has had a chance to correct this problem.

I was a little shocked to see this ancient (by consumer electronics standards) product still for sale. I bought mine in Japan over ten years ago and still use it daily. I was also shocked to see a price point of $199. I don't remember what I paid for it but I doubt it was that much even 10 years ago. As a product it's been fine. It's compact and portable and puts out very good sound for its size. The one-button daylight savings time change is handy. On the downside, the display is hard to read from across a room and the controls are a little less than intuitive.

Been a Sony car head unit user since many years ago I decided to give it a try and as a one solution to integrate Ipod and a BT hands free in one unit so let's say it could be worse. Installation is a breeze because there isn't extra speakers or mic to set. Just hook the speakers and power cables as any standard unit, plug the Ipod adapter, set and match the cell and that's it. Be aware it is hard to read the display when the sun hit it. Also digits are very small.

Unfortunately Ipod integration is a disaster as other reviewers noted with the XA-110IP. I also tested a ipod2car 2nd gen (with it's Sony interface wiring harness) which work great on my other older Sony head units but in the MEX-BT5000 it is not recognized. Is a shame because it's way better than the XA-110IP.

Sound through the bluetooth interface is a joke. Have tried several devices and they sound terrible. Is like hearing music through your home phone.

Cell Bluetooth interface has some issues and callers report severe echo. Having the mic integrated in the head unit has it's cons, setting a mic on better places could improve a lot the echo but unfortunately that's not possible.

Another concern is that the MEX-BT5000 doesn't have the option to update it's bluetooth software to keep it more integrated with newer phones.

On another vehicle I have both a standard Sony Head Unit and a Parrot 3200 bluetooth hansdfree device and this one is the best handsfree I have seen so far, it's so user friendly, has so many features like the phone book which is spelled through the speakers, and it's software can be updated by the user with a bluetooth equiped laptop as I already did. I located the mic in a optimum place and callers hear me clearly.

It's a fact: a company only dedicated to make stand alone handsfrees or ipod interfaces will have a better product against a manufacturer that makes them all by itself.

If you can afford it go for a dedicated Handsfree like the Parrot 3200 (sound goes through the stock speakers) and choose a better (non Sony for now) Ipod interface. If budget is tight just go for a dock hooked to the Sony aux input and control the iPod directly.

I paired my HTC S200 with this with minimal difficulties, all due to the phone, not the stereo. If you are buying this to pair with an all in one, make sure that your all in one supports the A2DP protocol or you'll have to do some creative registry hacking. If your device has the protocol pairing is plug and play. Now that I have it paired it is wonderful. I can take my podcasts with me to listen to in the car, no problems!

This unit is a great solution for hands-free bluetooth calling.

I bought this unit when it first came out, so I paid more than the current price of ~$250. While I would still buy it at the higher price if I had it to do over again, the ~$250 price is a steal if you want to get both a decent head unit AND integrated bluetooth.

Some other reviewers seem unhappy with the performance, I can't agree with them. While I haven't done an extensive amount of music listening via bluetooth, I use the speakerphone option every single day. It never disappoints. I have never had any problems with echo and every one I talk to claims they can hear me perfectly well.

I have tried dozens of in-car phone solutions, from plug-into-the-phone headsets, bluetooth headsets, cigarette-lighter speakerphone contraptionsI've tried them all, twice. I am so happy with the phone capabilities that I will almost definitely pull this head unit and transfer it to my next vehicle.

On the downside, I can confirm that the glare issue exists. During daytime driving the polished, convex surface of the faceplate catches wicked glare. The glare does NOT blind me or in any way hinder my driving, it just makes it difficult to read the display on low brightness settings. When set to maximum brightness, it seems to do alright so I don't consider it to be all that much of a hassle.

The joystick control makes menu navigation very easy, but it can be a pain when you hit a bump while trying to adjust volume. I therefore stick to the remote for volume and only use the joystick for menu nav.

The device is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Pairing to my phones was simple and straightforward. Another reviewer remarked that the bluetooth has trouble with newer phones, but I recently switched from an old HP iPaq 6315 to a Blackberry Curve 8320 and had no trouble whatsoever. With ANY bluetooth solution I would still agree that you should check compatibility lists before buying. That has less to do with this head unit and more to do with Bluetooth's inherent flaws.

All in all, I have to say I love this unit and would absolutely recommend it. In fact, I'm thinking about giving one as a gift this holiday season!

I bought this last night and im already returning it. Returning it for 2 reasons: When i talk through the hansfree bluetooth option, it sounds like im really really far away. Even if i yell, the person on the other end can barley hear me. And #2: There is an incredable glare that shines off it when driving in day time. Such a glare that i can even see the time at a glance. Thats because the face of it is curved towards you and with that come glare.

I'll try to make this as brief as possible...whatever the other guy says IS NOT TRUE!

you one thing, Internet over EDGE is very good, so I really don't care

at all about 3G speed. So keep this in mind....NO 3G in the USA.

Over All, this is a great phone. you will have to take your time to play with it to find all its features and how to make them work for you. Don't get frustrated if you don't get it to work the way you want the first time. It took me a good week to figure this phone out and now I am very excited I chose this phone. Iphone is a thing of the past, which I never had but my friends have it and some of them are not too happy with it, plus, they got stuck in a contract. Here you don't have to do that.

I decided to stay with Verizon instead of switching to ATT to go with the Apple Iphone.

I am an early adapter, I picked my omnia over the blackberry storm when both had just come out in january 09.

The Omnia offered far better processing speed, immensley better use of the touch screen technology, better screen resolution, full version of MS office rather than just a viewer and the use of Internet Explorer Mobile for internet viewing as well as Opera (not able to view all internet pages).

The camera was superior, the integration with outlook was phenominal and the bundled apps were perfect.

Learning curve on the Keyboard was tough but manageable.

Althouth I believe this product is electronically far superior to the Iphone and Storm, there are some serious issues that have not and probably will never be resolved as Samsung is already moving on to their next "superphone" without resolution of problems with this one and Microsoft has already (at the announcement of this phone) announced the release date of Windows Mobile 7.0..

Although the Iphone is slower and has less memory, it has a far more predictable speed allowing for constant rate of typing and response . . the Omnia like anything running Windows bogs down over the course of the day making the search and input speed vary. This is fine until you figure out how to use the keyboard to do email and are maddly typing only to find that the phone is three letters behind you...A simple reset solves the issue but . . . . you dont have to reset an Iphone every day!

The battery life is no where near advertized. If I unplug the phone at 7AM it starts complaining that a recharge is necessary by 5PM . . just in time for the evening commuteheck of a time for the cell phone to run out!

If you are accessing the internet or listenting to music or a movie, you get about 6 hrs before the low battery alarm starts chiming.

Standby time is about 36 hrs lot of good that does though!

Apple had similar issues with their phones and worked some fixes on the early ones, Samsung has no intention.

When you are on a high call day . .or watching a video on the phone, the phone gets hot . . my IR thermometer says over 103 degrees . . .Samsung says this is normal and fine . . .dont know about that as there is a Lithium Polymer battery in there and that is getting hot too.

I have had two phones and they both acted the same way, this is a design issue not a particular unit.

The biggest reason to think carefully about the purchase of this phone is that there are NO aftermarket apps that mix well with Mobile 6.1 and none on the horizon that are reasonable.

I tried to find a calculator to figure time cards, the Blackberry progam was 9.99, the palm version was 4.99, the Iphone app was 9.99 and the windows mobile version with no promise of compatibility with 6.1 was 49.99.

Check on Amazon, downloads.com and try to find aftermarket software for windows 6. . . .not much . . .

Go to Apple Store and see how many apps are out there for Iphone . . heck, there is even an app that allows you to use it as a flute!

I like the Omnia even with it's faults but wish I had known then what I know now . . If you have no intention of doing anything other than what this phone has built into it, then it is better than an Iphone. If you want to watch movies and listen to tunes, have some odd and end games for the train ride home at night, then dont waste your time with this phone, buy an Iphone.

First, I bought this phone thinking that it would resolve the problems I was having with my treo 750...HA! It has created more problems than solutions. Touch screen doesn't respond as you would expect and as stated in other reviews the widgets are small and sometimes hard to manage.

I was so excited to get this phone, windows mobile 6, great internet, email, on and on. It states in the phone review that this phone is compatable with microsoft voice command. That isn't the case, at least not for my i900. I used voice command with my treo 750 and it worked great so I just assumed it would work with the i900...it does not. So while you can receive calls thru the blue tooth headset, you can not make a call and that is huge for me. This is definitely a big negative.

It won't send picture messages as advertised, at least not with T-mobile. Texting and email work fine. If the email is set up correctly thru your phone service it works great and you can either receive emails automatically, set it up to retrieve them every few hours or get them when manually requested .

I guess that if I had done a better job of researching the pros and cons of purchasing a phone made in Asia, I might have waited. You won't get any help from Samsung USA as they just give you the excuse that since the phone is European, they do not support it in the US. As a matter of fact, you get that excuse almost anywhere you turn for support.

23 more months. I too have a Samsung Omnia. As you read the reviews everyone sings the praises of all the "features" of this phone. I bought this phone for 2 thingsto take and make cell calls and to access Excel spreadsheets when I'm in the field.

Load up a spread sheet and you can see 2-3 rows and 2-3 columns which is fine until the data is spread out over 4-6 rows/columns. Guess I'll keep toting my laptop.

Now the calls you want to put the call on speaker? First you have to hit the little mouse pad to remove the stupid black box, then hit the speaker button -Oh, I'm sorry did I lose the call?

Did you miss a call? I don't know. First you have to pick up the phone shake it repeatedly to switch back to portrait, enter your security code then you may see a box that tells you a phone number. Does it tell you what time or if they left a voice mail no that would be too convenient.

If you are thinking it may be time to upgrade your phone I strongly recommend you go into the providers store and get a "hands-on" experience because it may just turn out the phone doesn't do the simple things. 23 more months, sigh.

I have given this phone 8 months before finally admitting it's the worse handset I have ever owned. 8 months...of resetting, crashing, hanging, fixing .. I doubt I have enough room here to list the problems I have had, so let's think of a few of the more annoying ones, starting with WinMo 6.1 (need I say more)..the fact that syncing music is a nightmare because when you sync 4GB of music the phone "tricks" itself it is full and you can't use the camera ...the Touch Player is only marginally better than the Windows Mobile player..the touch screen sticks or scrolls uncontrollably, the phone/dial screen locks in seconds making it cumbersome to use the keypad in touchtone calls..having to unlock every few seconds, the sms and email notfications decide when they're going to work if at all..the email app seems totally unable to sync with an MS Exchange Server...you have to constantly remove tasks in the task manager to save on battery and processing memory, it doesn't like 3rd party apps or shells...the stylus hanging from the phone without a cradle was bound to break off sometime (and it did)..the animation/rotation has a mind of its own even when you've altered the settings. The clock and alarm apps decide they're only going to work when THEY want to...the Opera app decides it can't run at all because despite what the memory status is telling you , it thinks there is no more memory left...there is much much more..I had a 2G iphone for a year before the iphone was released here and even with the restrictions I had network-wise made that a more functional handset...I did/do not want another iphone because I wanted a phone that had "more features"...but seriously, I cnanot beleive that I haven't yet launched this Omnia into a wall..
