This works fine for a clock radio but you better have a piece of dark cloth handy to cover the very bright blue light that emits from the CD player! The box claims it has a 100 watt output. (a-hem) I'm thinking more like 25 or 30 because the speakers vibrate way too much at upper levels and the bass is pretty much a no show. You better have a fairly large night stand because this will eat up lots of space. The speakers and main unit feels really light that they almost feel hollow. The small remote should have had a back light for dark room use or at least have buttons that let your finger know what's being pressed.

I was looking for something with a more quality this is really a cheap piece of merchandise, not worth the money. Difficult to operate.

I think this would better be explained as an entertainment system first and a clock radio second..the top loading cd player plays and sounds great with the included speakers with a remote control and ipod iphone etc dock..more to the play with, more options..the clocks a clock good one..it doubles down..SUPER!

It is slightly bigger than I had expected, but I like the unit as a whole. I set mine on a chest of drawers in my bedroom, which forces me to get out of bed. No sleeping through this alarm, the speakers are loud and clear. I like the cd player and ipod docking station. There are many features included with this system at the price, great bargain, good quality system.
