I was looking for a simple clock radio that would charge my iPhone 4 at night by my bedside, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Here's my quick assessment:

Ease of use: After taking about 3 minutes to read through the one page manual, setting the time, station presets, and alarm time was pretty easy. As advertised, the clock will sync it's time to the iPhone's time every time you dock it, so no more tedious button-pressing. Nice.

Design: I don't like an alarm clock to draw too much attention to itself, so I appreciate this one's small footprint. The adjustable green number readout is not over-bright or obtrusive in a dark bedroom, which is something that the designers of other more obnoxiously bright models should have taken into account. My iPhone 4 is able to dock easily while still in it's case (which is a small form-fitting Belkin model). If you have a larger case such as an Otterbox, you might need to remove it when docking, but I don't own one so I can't say for certain. The buttons have a sturdy enough feel, nothing feels cheap or in danger of breaking.

Sound: Nothing to write home about, but not bad considering the price point. Wakes me up in the morning, and gives me something to listen to while I'm folding laundry.

Feature set: All the basic clock radio features you'd expect, basically. The two different alarm times feature is nice, you're given more radio preset slots than you'll ever need or want, and you can wake up to your iPhone's music collection, an alarm, or a radio preset.

If you're looking for something that gives you high-quality (or high-volume) sound, you won't find it here. But if you want a decent clock radio on the cheap to charge your iPhone at night, I'd highly recommend this model.

For the price, it's a cheap solution for my problems, since I wanted a radio clock with led display. It's not that bright at night, so I don't find any trouble sleeping.

The sound is not that great, but it's not that bad either. I wasn't expecting too much for the price, so I'm quite satisfied. But if you want something with a good sound, I recommend looking for another product.

I don't use the radio function, so I can't really say anything about that.

It worked fine with my iPhone 4(at iOS version 4.3.3) and it had some issues with my iPod Touch 2nd generation(only the play button was functional at first... but somehow everything is working properly now despite the message that is not a compatible device). With both devices the radio clock synced the time correctly.

In short terms: Worked in iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 2nd generation. Is a good product for the price, but if you want a more elaborated product with more sound quality and better design, go for something else.

This is officially my first review....of anything, online. After my most recent aneurism with trying to set the alarm on this device (yes, I have had more than one) I felt it my civic duty to bring my pain and suffering to whomever wants to listen. I purchased this device for my daughter, who has very limited nightstand space. It is small and packs a decent punch, all things considered. The only real issue I have is with how difficult it is to program the alarm function. Even using the provided user manual I eventually made my way to my computer to "google" for help. More than once, the "buzzer" alarm (not the iPod selection I thought I made) would shriek out at midnight! Not good. ANyway, that's my 2 cents + a nickel for inflation.

Easy to use, very small, works great for my purpose (bedside clock radio that charges my iPod). This is not the unit to choose if you intend to listen to music on it all the time--it's just too small and the speakers aren't good enough for that.

Blargh, update: the electrical cord for the radio makes a weird buzzing noise, and RCA was unhelpful (wanted me to send the whole unit back at my cost) and the seller via Amazon just wanted it back, didn't offer to replace it and also made me pay for shipping. It looked like a good radio, and maybe I just got a bum cord, but it was a bad overall experience.

Was looking for an inexpensive charging doc for my Iphone 4S that would work with my slim case, provide me with a decent speaker upgrate AND provide me with clock radio / alarm clock functionality. This unit meets all those requirements. My Iphone charges nicely, and I can leave my casecrown case in place with no issues. Nice small footprint as well and the numbers aren't overly bright.

All that said, I deducted 2 stars for a design flaw that may require me to return the unit. When the alarm engages, the minumum volume choice is level 10. This is true whether you select radio, iphone or buzzer. When listening to music, I can select a level of 1 which would be perfect to wake me while my wife sleeps peacefully. Unfortunately, at level 10 (30 is the max volume), this unit will wake the entire house!

I'm going to try waking to some lower volume songs (really soft classical) in my iphone to see if that is acceptable.

Bottom line: if you are a relatively light sleeper, the alarm function will likely startle you awake. If this is OK by you, then this unit should be considered, especially if you have a newer iphone and would like the option to charge without removing the case.
