It's a typical CR2032 battery (commonly used on PC motherboards as the CMOS battery) and while it says SONY Equivalent, it still gets the job done. The battery is a VARTA brand exactly as seen in the picture and comes in a small zip lock pouch labeled "B-310 3.0V Lithium CMOS BATTERY." It's been working fine for the last few days, but I have yet to know about it's longevity.
If you are a Prime member (like myself), it's a pretty nice deal if you need one of these. For $1.49 including two day shipping (it came in a small box surrounded in bubble wrap shipped 2-day FEDEX and actually came next day), you save some money as opposed to a grocery store or Radio Shack which sell this for around $3 anyways. I don't know if Amazon is really making money off of this deal as I'm sure two day shipping is more than $1.49 in the first place. Nevertheless, it's cheap and it works.I got my replacement battery and put into the computer. The date started working whenever the computer is off and I haven't had any problems.

Radio Shack wanted $5 each for these batteries. I just couldn't bring myself to spend $10 for two tiny batteries. I got these instead, and so far they are working good. I only needed them for a stupid digital tire pressure gauge that cost $20. Next time I'll pay more attention to how expensive the battery replacement is before I buy something like that.Read Best Reviews of SONY CR2032 Equivalent CMOS battery Here
Need something under $2 for free shipping? This'll work exquisitely. Yes, I used the word "exquisitely" for a battery review. The CMOS battery I ordered was DOA. A waste of 10$, just go to the local drugstore and pick up the duracell version in the battery isle, I got a two battery pack for less than 7$
