This clock is average in almost every way. It has an average alarm, an average radio, and average user controls. The only problem I have with it is that I was hoping for a much brighter display, and sadly this one is medium-to-dim on the brightness scale. If, however, you're looking for a basic and reliable clock with standard features, this is your guy. I suspect one could get a similar product for one or two dollars cheaper, but I recommend this one in any case. I bought this item at Radio Shack 6 years ago and it worked great. Over the years the LCD display failed so I am looking for a new one. I found this on on Amazon for $145refurb. $195 new UNBELIEVABLE!!!. I bought my original for $49.95 at Radio Shack. X10.com is now selling them for for less $29.99, in fact if you buy a bundle for $39.99 they include some X10 modules.

I have been using the 80gb iPod Video for several days now, and I am extremely pleased. First, a note of caution. The surface of this unit is identical to the earlier iPod video, so it is extremely prone to scratching. My 60gb iPod video was always transpored in the $99 Apple leather case, and it still attracted scratches! This one comes with a chamois-like form-fitted pouch which does a nice job of protecting the finish, but provides no protection from hits or drops. The screen is bright! Much brighter than the earlier models. The integration with iTunes 7 takes the hardware/software experience to a new level. I purchased some games and TV shows, which downloaded flawlessly, and playback time appears very impressive (read: better battery life). I'll know better on my next 12 hour flight to Asia, of course! 80gb is a staggering amount of storage space. I have nearly 10,000 songs, several music videos, several FULL seasons of TV shows, my contacts and my date book data, and a few purchased games, and I am barely halfway to filling the drive. The new iTunes interface screen for the iPod is much more friendly, allowing different settings to be made for, say, music, TV shows, PodCasts, etc. from within a tabbed browser environment. Apple still demonstrate that less IS more, and the total user experience blows away anything else in the market. It would be hard to imagine another solution (player/online store) emerging that could get the experience any better than Apple does. Though I realize several are trying... I had one of these that broke (buttons on the top froze up) after about 2 months of use. Memorex refused to do anything about it because I had no receipt. Their customer service stinks! Item was great while it worked, but if it packs up don't look to Memorex to help you sort it out.This product is great. you can wake up to your ipod, and also listen to radio. PLus it charges your ipod. It sound great for a small room.This little item is a best kept secret for those that have Philips GoGear MP3 players with 30 pin docking connection. When you have the GoGear you're limited on speaker systems you can use, this one works with our HDD6330 MP3 player, what's more is that it has an Aux jack in back so you can also use it with your XM Radio too! In my opinion it's a super buy for a bedside clock radio that you can use with MP3 and XM!

I have owned this radio for about two months now, and I am very happy with it. I live in a rural area and I am very particular about the radios I own because of the weak radio signals that beset me here. I am, therefore, pleased to say the C. Crane CCRadio-EP excels at receiving AM signals, with the distant station that carries my favorite baseball team's games coming in strong and clear. It is nearly as sensitive on FM stations, too, with my preferred NPR stations coming in very clearly. Despite the fact that it has analog tuning, it holds onto signals very well and doesn't require constant retuning to keep faint stations properly tuned. Sound quality is very good for a radio of its size and it has bass/treble adjustment, too. Sound is not quite as full as my GE SuperRadio II, but it is slightly better than my Sony ICF-EX5MK2. The bottom line is that the sound is enjoyable for both music and the spoken word. Concerned about QC, I ordered my C. Crane CCRadio-EP directly from Crane and it has performed admirably. I purchased this radio for it's AM radio capabilities. I like to DX the mediumwave band and this radio failed a very simple litmus test for me. Being located in downstate NY, I tune to WBZ in Boston on AM 1030. A relatively easy catch. With WBZ being sandwiched between 1010 WINS and 1050 ESPN this radio could not hear WBZ because of the two powerhouse stations above and below it and lack of sensitivity. All I heard was bleed from the two neighboring stations. Fiddling with the twin ferrite control and trying the radio in multiple locations made no difference to reception. My Sangean PR-D5 had absolutely no trouble tuning in WBZ. The difference between the radios is like night and day. If you only wish to hear 50K clear channel broadcasts and 1-5K local stations, this radio may suit you, but for more critical applications and those of us who enjoy the world of MW DX I cannot recommend this radio. It just does not have the selectivity to get the job done, twin ferrite and all.
After using my Apple Remote daily to control music from across the room, the battery finally died out, refusing to work farther than a few feet away. I was about to leave for Radio Shack to pick up a replacement battery, but it was much too wet out so I decided to check if Amazon would carry this. Miraculously, Amazon does carry almost anything.

I only needed them for a stupid digital tire pressure gauge that cost $20. The CMOS battery I ordered was DOA. A waste of 10$, just go to the local drugstore and pick up the duracell version in the battery isle, I got a two battery pack for less than 7$
I purchased this phone as a gift for my teenage daughter, she loves the phone...Initially, she was upset at me as I didn't ask her about her thoughts on what kind of phone she would prefer, so I thought I could use this phone if she didn't like it, well, after playing a bit with it, she got in love with this nice piece of technology...She is used to texting via traditional keypad, so she loves the idea of navigating through menus and options via the touchscreen while keeping the phone keypad for dialing and texting functions. Quality of the phone is great (my daughter has tons of pics she can keep in a large memory microSD card, so this is a plus too), the phone feels very resistant and the silver version is very elegant, fits perfectly into small pockets. You'll need to adjust touch screen sensitivity to your preferrences, but the phone has a good feature for completing this task easily. 3G and Wifi capabilities works great in my country, and even when my daugthers' sim card is from 2G technology, the phone has extraordinary reception at areas where her previous 2-3 Nokia phones (various Music express models) never had signal. Quality of pictures are awesome (have not used the flash at this time, but we'll see...). Overall, I highly recommend this phone for someone who needs good battery performance, nice quality pictures, all good stuff such as music, videos, etc., good signal reception and also wanting to keep keypad control for dialing/ texting while improving menu navigation through touch screen...Great product!

I have always been a Nokia fan, but their basic phones sort of disappeared during the smart-phone craze. This phone was described somewhere as a hybrid, and I have found that this is a very good description. I really didn't want a smart-phone, but this gives me the best of both worlds. Battery life is great, it's an attractive phone, and I can go on the internet if I want to. AT&T doesn't consider it a smart-phone, so I am trying out an unlimited internet access plan for $10 per month. If I want, I can drop that plan and get free wi-fi access where available. The free Ovi mail account is good for folks like me who don't want to "text" but who occasionally like to communicate via email on the go. I did have some trouble hooking up to the internet initially, but thankfully there are folks out there (on the web) who have left great trails of useful tips--and so I programmed myself onto the AT&T links. I highly recommend this phone.
