Have these set up in 4 different rooms and all on same channel for broadcast announcements. Initially had problems with static and no response and was frustrated trying to find a working channel combination to get them all to work. Then I realized I had used an extension cord with only two prongs and these said "3-wire" in the name. I tried plugging it directly into the wall outlet -viola! [apply palm to forehead] Must use 3-prong extension cords or plug directly into normal 3-hole outlet. Happy with price and function. Blue light that always stays on is very bright.

This beats wiring the whole house. Once you find the clear channel it is a great system. We use it all of the time now rather then screaming to each other from the upper floor to the basement.
