This is by far one of the funniest and amazing alarm clocks on the market. I purchased two since they are great and do every thing the manufacturer says it does. When you set it to wake up to the "talking" mode, you are awakened by funny noises and even funnier "talking voices" which are pre-recorded on a microchip. There are seven different voices waking you up. Everything from an educated Afro-American, an Indian guy with a heavy accent, to an Italian guy almost threatening you to wake up! It is so funny that you wake up smiling! Indeed, the talking mode is so funny, that I wake up with a smile every morning! Great alarm clock. I highly recommend it.
