AccuPower AccuLoop Mignon AA 2300 mAh NiMH Rechargeable Battery 4-Pack Precharged

AccuPower AccuLoop Mignon AA 2300 mAh NiMH Rechargeable Battery 4-Pack Precharged
  • Ready to use = comes pre-charged
  • AccuLoop ALSX - AccuPower Self-Discharge X-tension
  • very low self-discharge (approx. 2% per month)
  • suitable for nearly all battery applications very high performance up to 2300mAh
  • Size: Mignon / AA / LR6 / UM3 / HR-3UTG

I am not giving these batteries 5 stars because the capacity is only 93% (2148 mAh) of the 2300 mAh that is promised. My measurement is done using a LaCrosse BC-700 charger and is the average of 4 batteries and they are all fairly close. I have also measured the internal resistance and it is a low 0.1 ohms, which is the same as some Eneloops and Tenergy batteries of the same size. I also mesured the discharge for a time period of more than a month and it appears to be very similar to the Eneloops and Tenergy batteries I've tested.

These batteries do have more capacity than the Acculoops and Tenergy batteries (7% more), but only slightly and I don't like the fact that they under perform their specification.

It takes a while to properly judge rechargeable batteries, and so far, these are meeting expectations. Be aware that the diameter of these cells is ever so slightly bigger than it should be so they don't fit properly in all devices.

I've been using several different battery sizes of this brand and they're working great. Before the low-discharge batteries came along I was frustrated with rechargeable batteries. I'd charge them, put them on the storage rack and when I went to use them they'd be dead every time. These ones are a whole new world though! Charge 'em up, put them on the shelf and you've got a battery that's actually ready to use when you need it! If I could afford it, I'd throw all of my regular nimh batteries away and replace with these! I've also done detailed research in the past on these and they had better performance on paper than at least the majority of the other LD batteries out there.
