Wow, First of all I love the option of 2 day delivery, it was well worth it. Second ,the Pyle PHS901CW exceeded my expectations. The unit is well made and looks more like a piece of furniture, than an Ipod docking station. Third point, the unit sounds great as is right out of the box. I'm not a Bose fan which is what most e-tailers and retailers push as the best docking station out there. This unit has more punch and features than it's competitors. The remote works very and my IPhone charges while playing music. I give this unit an 8.5 out of 10. Please keep in mind I have yet to see and hear a 10. I look forward to Pyle's next gen. unit.

first of all this product is rated at 600 watts power....BS there is no way this is 600 watts, the 21vdc power supply is rated at 3amp and to verify it says power consumption is 63 watts. how could a unit output 10 times it's rated input? it can't. this unit sounds okay when installed in a corner which it appears it is built specifically for due to it's rear facing angles, it has decent bass and very clear midhi tones when at a low level. when you crank it up is when it gets depressing. just before it stops turning up (tops out) you start to think "this is gonna be awesome" then... oh, that's it? major dissappointment! advertised at 600 watts i expected major sound! i guess you get what you pay for.

the remote and face controls have the worst and most anti-intuitive controls i have ever used. very confusing. if you want to use an iphone it gets worse... once the iphone locks you will have random select, play and pause features only until you manually unlock the phone with a finger swipe to the screen. this thing is not at all what i was expecting considering the specs given.

PROS:

$190.00 is probably a fair price considering it's looks and okay sound

very nice looking piece of furniture with a nice finish (piano black)

cool blue lcd glow that is not overpowering.

decent, useable sound that will fit a small room (think dorm room or small apartment)

space saving design for that small room.

CONS:

NOT 600 WATTS AS RATED!!

not very loud or booming as one would expect from a 600w PYLE unit

horrible UI both on the remote and face controls

not very stable and must be installed against a wall (preferrably a corner for best fit)

it will fall over if left free standing

piano finish is a fingerprint magnet

not made for iphone

if you want 600 watts of power and plan on rockin' some beats... look elsewhere as i think a simple 50watt computer speaker system will out perform this disappointment from PYLE.

This Pyle tower stopped working after one month. OK, so it happens sometimes. However, I have received no response from Pyle's customer service department. So, all I have now is a "Pyle" of junk!

Update: while Pyle's customer service was non-existent, I was very impressed with Amazon's customer service. After a quick phone call to Amazon, they are sending a new one to me even before I send the old one back. Superb service Amazon!
