HTC Wildfire S Prepaid Android Phone (MetroPCS)

HTC Wildfire S Prepaid Android PhoneI bought this phone and am happy with most features. It has a 5 megapix camera. watch most video sites and an endless android app market. but this phone has a huge downfall! Memory! after all the market apps you only have 170mb of storage (which I've never seen) in which may sound like enough but with only 2 apps @7-10mb and 10-12 small .5-2mb it keeps telling me insufficient memory. I would recommend for anyone who looking for a reasonably priced android except for this one prob. oh yeah, cheaper at metro pcs!

I am gonna be real with you,and say this phone is great,i have had this phone for a little bit more then two week's.But yes there is a but, only thing i hate about this phone,is the internal memory it's not a lot it's on the mb area.I had to set my phone back to factory setting's because my memory was getting low,now they have a setting where you can clear your memory by removing stuff, but that was not even working for me.So i put it back to factory default,it gave me back 70 something mb now that probably seem's like a lot,but no it is not.Now they do give you a 2GB SD card, but some of the app's you download wont allow to move it from phone,to SD card. And the last.final thing that has happen to me is,the second week when i got the phone,my phone rebooted two time's.Now i have not have that problem sense. But i thought i will throw it out there. Now will i recommend this phone?Yes if you want a money saving smart phone like me,No if you can afford something better. They just came out with the Huawei Activa(tm) 4G,for $149.99 if i would had waited i would had got that one,it's only 20 buck's more, and has a bigger internal memory, and is 4G.Hope this help's anyone that's looking into getting a new phone.

HTC Wildfire S Prepaid Android Phone (MetroPCS)

As with most prepaid android phones, don't expect it to be any where near as good as phones such as an iPhone, Galaxy, or most other contract phones. The battery life on standby has lasted about 8 hours, with continuous text around 3-4 hours. Talk time would kill the battery at abou 1 1/2 to 2 hours if you're likely. Depending on the prepaid carrier expect a variety of bloat ware, constantly slowly the device even after forcing close such apps. Voice quality is decent when the device decides to function somewhat properly. Not that great experience, but was expecting more considering the short experience with other HTC products and recommendations from friends and coworkers.

As a prepaid android set I would recommend this to teens and folks who aren't familiar with the operating system. If you have experience with android devices and want to cut your bill with a prepaid service I would look else where.

I bought this to serve as a micro tablet for my kids it will never be activated, and operates WiFi only.

Pro

+ perfect size & weight for little hands and fingers

+ good display and multi-touch keeps the device simple

+ full Android market and MP3/MP4 support

+ good HTC design

Con

low-ish resolution

slow-ish CPU

Wow

= sturdy design survived a fall down the stairs

= HTC Sense & widgets are fun for kids

= under $70 bucks!!!

For how little I paid, I'm very satisfied with this Android device. Sure, it could be bigger, faster, etc. But not at the price I paid.

Also

Having owned this for almost 2 months, I am still very satisfied with it for my kids. It plays Angry Birds and Cut the Rope just fine, tho the load times are kinda long. The smaller screen means that video sizes are very reasonable, so you can put a *lot* of hVGA video on an 8 GB card!
