Pros:
Cheaper than Galaxy S2 but just as sexy
Thin and light with a big display
Large, real hardware home key that wakes the display
HDMI output that mirrors the entire UI
Nothing crippled by the carrier
Gingerbread 2.3.4
Cons:
No front facing camera
Single core CPU (though plenty fast)
Tiny power button (though rarely needed)I bought this device from another website and this review is based on my 3 months ownership with the Arc (LT15A).
Pros:
. Unique design (Does not have the iPhone-esque look).
. Really good speaker, especially when XLOUD enabled.
. Top notch camera (Behind N8's for sure though).
. Beautiful screen, great viewing angle indoor and outdoor.
. Very light.
. No known software-related problems (i.e: dead pixel, constant restarts...etc).
. LT15A should came with an 8GB memory card preinstalled to your device, courtesy of Sony Ericsson.
. Mini-HDMI port
Cons:
. No Gorilla glass
. Battery is somewhat terrible Moderate internet browsing and listening to music would bring it down to around 50% at the end of the day.
. Single core comparing to other high end smartphone with dual cores out there.
. No front-facing camera Because of this the Arc will not be able to enjoy the sweet "Face Unlock" function in the Ice Cream Sandwich update.
. Tiny power button and camera button
P.S: Ignore the idiots that posted negative reviews just because they had lousy shopping experience. The overall condition is good but the outlook is not as good as I expect. Maybe the previous ones are better than this.It one of the better phones of Sony Ericsson, and the Android it's the better OS in the world. Not have any doubt about buying this phoneThere is an issue that other arc owners have been reporting which is evident in my unit a jostling or bumping of the phone causes it to reboot. One owner in the U.K. indicated the solution is to place foam disks inside the battery cover to keep the battery terminals securely attached when the phone is handled roughly (the battery cover curves away from the battery as part of the arc for which the phone is named). Unfortunately this has not helped.
Other than this nuisance rebooting (which occurs at least twice a day for me, usually when I put the phone down on a hard surface), the phone is a great demonstration vehicle for Android. The newest arc has a dual core processor, which is definitely desired as the single core often struggles.
