Pole Dancer Alarm Clock

Pole Dancer Alarm Clock
  • LCD screen display with back light
  • Easy to use clock and alarm set functions
  • Snooze button
  • Try me button

In these trying times we all need to make sacrifices in order to get by. When I lost my job as the glaze-applier at Krispy Kreme, my wife and I didn't know how we were going to make ends meet. She makes decent money, but even the exotic piercing industry is taking a hit in this economy.

Once the late-payment notices started to outnumber the actual bills, I knew it was time to take matters into my own hands. I told my wife that she should get a second job as a stripper, but we both agreed that her severe clubfoot wasn't exactly going to rake in the money.

So, my wife and I came to the agreement that since I was the one who lost the job, I would have to be the one to replace the income. As a stripper.

To hammer her point home, my wife got me this fantastic Pole Dancer Alarm Clock. With its 3-D spinning dancer (I call her Alicia) and vibrant LED display, it serves as the perfect daily reminder that I was doing this for my family.

But this clock is more than just a hot girl pole-dancing to the music it also features an alarm and a snooze button!

While my moves may not be as sensual as Alicia's, I know that one day they might be, and that's all the motivation I need to get myself out of bed and onto a new life.

First, You have to squint to see the clock. Second, it's very and I mean VERY cheaply made you could break it putting the dancer on the think, The soud is way to quite and the lights are weak (a candle puts out more light then these)

Samsung P3 Palm Theatre Plus 8 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Samsung P3 Palm Theatre Plus 8 GB MP3 Player
  • 3" TFT LCD (16:9 Wide Full Touch Screen)
  • Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity
  • FM Radio and recorder/voice recording/text
  • Haptic Reaction Touch Screen Controls
  • Built-in Speaker

The P3 is really a great player. For some reason, many people compare it to the iPod Touch, but that doesn't make much sense, considering it's priced to compete better with the iPod NANO.

The P3's screen is made of glass... this means, it is really hard to scratch it, unlike that odd plastic material used in most touchscreen players. The touchscreen itself will seem a bit sticky at first, but after a week or so of having it, you will barely notice this at all. The touchscreen is in most cases very responsive, though the player's UI is notorious for lagging at times. This, though, is something you can easily get used to. There are some silly little widgets, some are handy such as a clock and a calendar, but most seem to be designed for a young child. The background is customizable with images 272x480 pixels for a perfect fit. Also, when you first begin using it, you may notice the battery draining quickly, as the first of three bars will disappear quickly. The meter only stays at full when the battery is very full, i can use this for about 4 days, listening about 2-3 hours a day before i need to charge it.

The screen has some sort of special detection for touch, i believe it's called capacitive sensing, which only responds if it detects a conductor, in other words, the human body. I'm sure it also works with some random special material as well, but for the purposes of the average person, this will only respond to a human body, so you don't have to worry about anything else activating the touchscreen. You may still want to use the Hold button though, as there are volume and a power button on the top of the player.

The screen on this player can play videos at up to 800x600 pixels, which is pretty good for a player of this price. It's no Zune HD, but it sure does look good on the 3 inch screen.

The player body is made of some plastic, but mostly metal. I have heard of these things surviving all kinds of punishment, even have 45 pound weights dropped on them in the gym. The touchscreen and everything still worked in that case, the only problem were cracks and the player being slightly bent of course.

The P3 has all the typical features of a Samsung player, the DSNe, bluetooth, etc. etc. What is really surprising is its support for .flv files, and a flash player for .swf files. Yes, this means you can play flash games and watch flash movies on your P3. It can also be used to pair with a phone as a hands free device via bluetooth.

The only thing i would ever really worry about would be the fact that you can see directly inside of the player, as in you can see all the microchips and whatnot inside of it through the headphone jack. This could lead to dust getting in there, but this is easily solved by either just blowing it or or just leaving headphones in all the time.

In short, this player is really fantastic for 150$, which, again, is the same price as an Nano. You get so much more for almost the same price, it makes me wonder why anyone would ever buy a Nano.

This was the third mp3 player I purchased after returning the first two. And, it was the only one that had a decent manual. You can easily download music from multiple sources, and the touch screen is fabulous. My tech-expert nephew suggested I read reviews on sites like , etc. and that is where I found the reviews on the Samsung YP-P3. I immediateley ordered one, and have not been disappointed in any way. If any of you want a user friendly music/photo/video player this one is terrific Absolutely NO cons!

I think this is a great MP3 player for the $$$. I like the ease of use and easy file transfer. I'm a drag & drop guy so I loved that about this player. I remember one review on this player complaining about it not storing other files but I've found it to work just fine for me. Of course i have only added photo's so I can't give a full review on that function. The touch screen works pretty well, not great, and I have to say it's not as good as the apple products. That really is the only knock that I would have on this MP3 player but it's not really a big one. All in all I think I got a great product for the money that I spent.

This product is amazing. I have had a iPod, Phillips and a Sansa Fuze and this is by far the best in not just sound but as a all around product. I use it not just to play my music but to watch my tv shows and movies. The cell phone link feature is great, when you blasting you tunes and a call comes in you can answer it from the P3. I also ordered the Samsung Bluetooth headphone and they are a great addition to this unit. Sound is superb and the distance you can travel from the P3 is pretty far. My son has a Birthday coming up and this is what he is asking for. Only mistake I made was just getting the 8MB model, I would suggest at least 16 if not 32 as 1,300 songs, 200 pics and a few tv shows can fill it up...lol...

I have no doubt that this is the best player out there in this price range. Definitely recommended.

Hassle free usability for a touchscreen player. I bought a 8GB. You may want to consider atleast the 16GB.

3 Handsets~ Uniden Dct-5280 2.4 Ghz DSS Cordless Phone with Speakerphone/ Digital Answering System /

3 Handsets~ Uniden Dct-5280 2.4 Ghz DSS Cordless Phone with Speakerphone/ Digital Answering System / Caller Id
  • 2.4 GHz digital spread spectrum
  • Caller ID/call waiting compatible
  • Expandable to 4 handsets
  • Integrated digital answering system
  • New message waiting indicator; headset compatible

I have had many cordless phones with varying results. With that experience I can tell you that this Uniden product exceeds any other I have owned. Physically, the phone is very sleek in design and comfort of use. The base unit, with a very nice digital answering system is simple to program using the voice confirmations the system provides. The handset menu functions and soft-keys operate nicely and are also very easily programmed. There is a very nice selection of options for personalizing the phone to your needs. The battery life has been excellent, including a battery strength indicator on the display. In addition, we also added a second handset to this expandable system by merely placing the expansion handset into the base cradle. The only drawback is a minor one in which you must program the second handset manually, not a major task. The expansion handset also provides very nice intercom options, walkie-talkie like features, and is a nice value at $... The system we replaced with the Uniden was much more expensive with fewer options and poor performance.

We use a wireless network for internet connections, and the phone system works perfectly without interference or signal loss.

We are very pleased with this system and would highly recommend it. Simply put, the very best telephone we've owned.

I have had my Uniden phone now for just under a month. I bought it to replace an IBM phone that started having problems within a few months of purchase. The Uniden phone has been great. Reception is clear as a bell and it has a ton of features that I love, including volume controls on both the handset and the base. It also features 16 different ringer options, and the ability to assign ringers to certain callers (so you'll always know if it's someone you actually want to talk to or not). The digital answering system works wonderfully as well, and is very easy to operate. That feature alone saves me [money] on voice mail from my phone company! I highly recommend this phone to anyone wanting a high quality 2.4 GHz DSS system. UPDATE: I've now had this phone for over a year and I am still very happy with it. I haven't had any problems with the battery yet. I've dropped the receiver from high up at least five times, but this phone just takes a licking and keeps on working great! The only minor complaint I have is that you have to be careful putting the handset back into the base if you have it mounted on a wall...otherwise it tips forward and falls. Still a phone I'd recommend to anyone.

I am very picky about my phones, and after much research and experience with this phone, I think it is safe to say that it is a terrific phone. I bought several phones that would suit my multi-handset needs, including a different Uniden model, and returned them shortly after because either the features were lacking, or because the sound quality was poor. However with the DCT 5280, the sound quality is great, as is the range. In addition to this, the features of the phone are outstanding, including distinctive rings, speaker phone built into both the base and handset, and the ability to use the handsets as intercoms or walky-talky style units away from the base (like at the mall) and standard AA size rechargeable batteries, allowing for great flexibility to my needs. This said, it is important to note that the sheer amount of features does make the phone complicated to begin with, so if you are somewhat techno-phobic, perhaps this phone isn't right for you, but otherwise I highly recommend this phone (along with the additional handsets) to anyone who is in the market for a great cordless phone.

Want 3 Handsets~ Uniden Dct-5280 2.4 Ghz DSS Cordless Phone with Speakerphone/ Digital Answering System / Discount?

A bit pricy, but worth every penny.

PROS:

Great quality speaker system on the handset (major plus).

Built -in answering machine with ALL the features one should have, including remote access.

Handset holds charge for a very good amount of time.

Easy to use menus. Easy to adjust volume on handset and base.

CONS:

Price.

Handset is a bit heavier than I'm used to.

2.4 GHz (if true) doesn't reach as far as you would think! I used to own a 900 MHz panasonic and the range of that phone was better.

Bottom line: Go for it.

My old cordless was a 900Mhz Analog, which worked fine, but my answering device puttered out, so I decided to go all new. I picked up this phone and am very satisfied with it. It sounds good, has good range, and comes with an impressive set of features. Plus, it's reasonably priced.

Got this for my daughter for her birthday. Was thrilled that it had the stories and really thrilled it had a nightlight. My daughter received this alarm clock for her 4th birthday last October. Since then we are on our second one in less then a years time and the speaker has once again failed. The first one failed between 4 6 months so I returned it for a new one. As I am typing this review my husband is currently trying to fix the speaker on the second one. My daughter just loves listening to the stories at night so we are doing our best to resolve the problem. She has never been abusive with the alarm clock and with the second one we made sure the volume was only at half to prevent the speaker from failing. So unless you want to tear the alarm clock apart in 4 6 months I wouldn't buy this product. My husbands solution is to replace the speaker with an external speaker by splicing wires. Our daughter has a smile on here face and that's was counts.

This was a great alarm clock until about 4 months after the purchase of it the speaker became muffled and you could not hear the storis anymore. Otherwise the alarm is cute and fits well with the princess decor in my daughters room and the night light works. My daughter got this for Christmas and now in April it no longer works. She liked listening to the stories at night and would wake up to the stories in the morning. I have ben trying o locate the manufacturers webpage to see if I can exchnage the item, but without any luck. So for the money you may want to consider purchasing something else....

We have had this alarm clock for a little under a year and it is going in the garbage. The recorded Disney music becomes horribly annoying very fast and the FM radio stopped working within 2 months. Right now, my 7 year old daughter has to wake up to static or if we're lucky, AM talk radio. The only plus for this clock is the projected stars it shines on the ceiling. Very expensive for only one small feature that still works.

Don't waste your money!

Sony AM/FM CD Clock Radio (Audio/Video/Electronics / Stereos)

Sony AM/FM CD Clock RadioI bought this clock-radio to replace an older one I had which had cracked speakers and a very bright un-dimmable clock face. This Sony has great sound, a good CD player, a reliable clock and alarm, and there are three setting for brightness--all of which met my wants and expectations.

This is a great radio to have in the bedroom. I listen to cd at night. Can wake up to cd and/or radio.

This stereo is great, with the exception of the following problems (Cons):

1) In a Nissan Frontier, the LED display is BARELY visible during daylight hours. I have two of these units one in two different vehicles. This is not a problem at all in my other vehicle, but in my Nissan Frontier truck, it's horrible. The reason is due to the tilt angle of the installation. If you are installing this in a Frontier, or any other vehicle where the unit will be tilted slightly upward, look for another stereo. You will likely be very frustrated without being able to see the display (clock, station, etc.) in the day. At night, it's fine.

2) Clock does NOT stay on when unit is turned off. This makes NO sense why any company would design it this way. Especially considering that many vehicles have no other clock than the one on their stereo. To get around this poor design, you have to choose a "source" that you are not using, such as "front aux", and just leave it on. That way, the clock will always be lit up.

3) Clock runs about 1 minute fast every week. This is not good. Every few weeks I have noticed that my clock, in BOTH of the units I own, is about 4 or 5 minutes too fast, causing me to have to reset the clock at least once a month. Since both of my units have this problem, I am guessing it's just poor engineering. I have seen cheap digital watches from a dollar store keep better time than these units. Odd!

4) The main control knob could be better designed as it has no grip whatsoever. It's not a big problem, but while driving a truck with stiffer suspension, it can be somewhat challenging to use this knob WITHOUT accidentally putting it into an undesired mode.

Conclusion: I said this stereo could be a 4, or even 5 star product, but only if the above problems are not an issue with you. For me, I would need a display that is readable during the day in whatever vehicle it is installed in, a clock that stays on even if the stereo is off, and a clock that keeps better time than a dollar store watch, to be a 5 star product.

Final tip: If buying for a Frontier, LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE! I have tried every color on the menu, at full brightness, and none of them are very visible during the day.

I bought this to replace the stock unit in my 2000 F150, and I love it!

I also bought some new Infinity Reference 6832cf 6 x 8/5 x 7-Inch, 180-Watt High Performance Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair) to fit in too. Two other thing you need are a Metra 70-1771 Radio Wiring Harness and some wire connectors (to install the stereo. You also need speaker adapters if you want to install new speakers like I did.). Being a handyman by trade I happened to have a lot of small wire connectors lying around.

The unit comes with a wiring adapter which is basically a plug that fits in to the back of it with about 15-20 different colored wires sticking out of it. Now if you dont buy the metra adapter you will have to cut the old connector plug off of your trucks wiring harness and then join all the loose wire together with the afore mentioned 15-20 colored wires. If you do as I did and spend the extra $3.40 all you have to do is match up all the colors together and connect them (hence the wire connectors).

I would like to take a moment and thank another reviewer who mentioned that the orange wire with a black stripe should actually connect to the orange wire with a white stripe. This saved me a load of time checking diagrams I can't understand! So thanks...

Now on to the unit itself...

I powered it up and blasted it through my old stock speakers and was very impressed. Setting the clock was a doddle and very instinctive as was tuning my favorite radio stations. I did all this on a very bright California day and had no problems seeing the LCD screen at all. Now getting back to the sound...After blasting it through my stock speakers I very nearly decided against changing them out as it sounded so good, but I'm very glad I did as now it sounds amazing to me. I am not a hardcore stereo guy and this is just a work truck but I pumped out some Pearl Jam and to me it sounded great!

Let me sum up...

As a complete auto wiring beginner I found this whole install extremely easy, now I am a fairly handy guy but I reckon my 6 yr old could have done it for me! It also only took me about forty minutes to do the whole job, (it took me ten minutes to figure out how to get my door cards off!) So save yourself a boat load of cash by having a go yourself instead of paying someone to install it for you!!

Lastly kudos to Amazon for pointing me in the direction of all the extra wiring adapters, without me having to look for them (as I said I'm a beginner and had no clue I even needed any of them).

Best Stereo system that i put on my Honda Accord 2002 LX, i notice that the sound quality on my stock speakers improve dramatically. The light changing color while its open is awesome. The Sharper Image EC-A130 Hardwood Speaker System for iPhone/iPod

  • Charges, plays and displays your iPhone/iPod
  • Natural wood cabinet for premium acoustics
  • Built-in subwoofer for richer sound quality
  • Gorgeous high-gloss piano finish
  • Blue backlit controls with chrome accents

I give this item 5 stars for the price. The build quality of the hardwood is very good, and it looks great in the living room. I have a Sony Dream Machine (ICFCS10iP), and the audio quality of the EC-A130 is noticeably better especially at the lower end (great bass). Also, there seems to be a better incremental range in the volume. With the Sony, level 4 is too quiet, and level 5 is too loud. This was particularly annoying when working directly in front of the device. I'm picky, so your experience may differ. If I were to have a criticism, it would be that the remote has a plastic feel (perfectly comparable to the Sony). I did test the remote at over 30+ feet. It functioned normally.

I had to upgrade my dock when I upgraded my ipod. I bought this one and think it has an overall good sound. It charges quickly. The remote could have a farther distance but it is fine for the range in my room. I am very happy with the purchase.

despite the slightly annoying "may be incompatible" popup when I plug in my iPhone 4, it works and charges totally fine. The default sound is okay but becomes drastically better when you max out the bass and treble settings via the remote (which you have to do every time you power off and back on). speaker shielding is pretty good, I haven't experienced any cell phone buzzing interference when my iphone is plugged in. the 2" integrated subwoofer makes a big difference on the lows vs. most other docks in this price range, but don't expect table-shaking bass you probably can't throw a party with this but it'll work well enough for a small get-together because the sound will clip (as expected from lower wattage) at higher volumes. the two tweeters are decent, highs are much better than average docks once you set a high treble setting. mid-range is about average, but overall I'd say the sound is great for a living room device (this has a full 20Hz-20KHz range!) and leaps and bounds over the sub-$100 stuff you find in the aisle of a Best Buy. doesn't hurt that the glossy black finish looks good with most furniture

1 star knocked off for the popup message even though the box explicitly says "compatible with iphone 4." 5-star device based on sound & looks for a $70-100 dock

I bought this and got it home to find out that it is not optimized for IPhone4. Beautiful little cabinet, I'm really disappointed that it doesn't work. : (

We purchased this product from a brick-and-mortar retailer. When we got it home, we found the following missing from the box: (1) the remote control; (2) the speaker cable; (3) the instruction manual; (4) the warranty card; and (5) any protective padding. The same evening, we emailed Sharper Image's customer support department for assistance. Five weeks passed without a reply from Sharper Image. We again put in a request for support through the web site and also separately emailed customer support directly. A week has passed and there is still no response from Sharper Image, nor has it provided the missing remote and cable.

On the upside, the unit works okay, although one wonders if the sound output would be better using the cable. The instruction manual (available on the Sharper Image web site) indicates the cable is for connecting an iPod to the unit, but we are able to get sound without it.

It is annoying that both the box and the instructions picture a remote control, yet none was provided. However, it is outrageous that Sharper Image provides no support for this product and completely ignores customer requests for assistance.

This is our first and last purchase of a Sharper Image product.

Logitech AudioStation iPod Speaker System

Logitech AudioStation iPod Speaker System
  • Digital AM/FM radio lets you enjoy talk radio and other local programming
  • Touch-sensitive, backlit controls all on the illuminated display
  • Provides a booming 80 watts RMS of power
  • Digital clock so you can wake to buzzer, built-in radio or your favorite iPod music
  • Compatibility: iPod nano (1G and 2G), iPod mini, 4G iPod with click wheel, iPod Color, iPod Video

I got this to replace the iHome clock radio. It certainly sounds better than the iHome (but don't expect an audiophile experience), but although it has a clock, a radio, and a sleep function, it doesn't have an alarm function to wake you to music. Seems silly not to include an alarm in a unit like this. I don't know what Logictech was thinking. I haven't had any of the failures other people have reported here. It seems to be working fine after using every day for about 1 month.

As expected the AudioStation sounds very good. However, there are some functional problems that ruin the experience. On the unit both volume controls turn down the sound level. Every time the iPod is turned on while in the Audiostation it defaults to shuffle mode, regardless of how you left it. The power supply brick was unexpected (I hate them) and it's too loose fitting; the plug falls out with the slightest nudge. I have no idea how this product made it through the quality control department!!! Shame on Logitech drop this failure and start over!

Want Logitech AudioStation iPod Speaker System Discount?

I have waited until I finally received a working model to post my experience with Logitech.

First, let me begin by saying that now that I have a working Audio Station I really do love it. The product deserves the excellent iLounge review it received. The sound is great. It has an audio in port and an S-Video out port on the back. I cannot for the life of me understand why there are $300 units made by Apple and Bose that are nothing more than some speakers. Additionally, the AM/FM tuner works well. I really only use the FM tuner but have found it to be good better than I expected but not perfect. However, once again, most units at this price point do not have any sort of AM/FM tuner and that was a sacrifice I was not willing to make. For all of these reasons I really do like the Audio Station.

However, if there was even another product on the market with these characteristics (AM/FM, S-Video out, audio in) I would have taken my business elsewhere in a second. My experience with Logitech was TERRIBLE. First, I brought home a unit from Best Buy in early February and found that it was one of a bad batch that went out to Best Buy stores (see other reviews on this page for more details on which units have the problem with buttons not responding). After the buttons on the front of the unit didn't respond I got online and read the reviews posted here on Amazon as well as on Logitech's own website where they finally admitted that this was a flawed product. I then contacted Logitech to see about having a product sent to me as part of the warranty.

The representative at Logitech told me I would be better off taking my unit back to Best Buy. I realized that I knew more about the problem with the Audio Station than the customer service rep did after only about 20 minutes of poking around online. I told him that apparantly a bad batch went out to Best Buy stores and the last thing I was going to do was to waste my time returning a product to Best Buy only to bring another faulty unit back home. I also told him that I'd read that Audio Stations coming directly from the factory were reportedly working fine and I wanted one of those. After some time on the phone we arranged for my unit to be picked up and then I would receive a new unit in 10 days.

10 days later I called. This was the first time I found out that the unit was out of stock and my order was on backorder. I was furious that I had to call to find out the item was on backorder. Not only was this the first I heard of the problem but there was nothing they could do for me. I was told the first week of March they would recieve some in the warehouse. I waited. About 8 days into March I called again. The order hadn't made it to the warehouse. A small order was due to arrive but it was not guaranteed that I would get one of them. Again, I was very displeased but there was nothing I could do.

This was the first time that a customer representative seemed to know what he was talking about and actually served as an advocate for me. To their credit, I did recieve a unit out of that first batch. It arrived relatively quickly and works fine. However, it was a terrible, terrible experience along the way.

If you buy one of these, I guarantee buying directly from the factory. Logitech does not seem inclined to recall their bad units and appears to be content with letting customers deal with their problem. If you do buy from Best Buy or from Amazon, be careful you may receive one of the flawed units and who knows how long it will take a replacement to get to you. It basically took Logitech 7 weeks to get me a new model. I've never had so much trouble giving a company $300 of my money. I plan to never shop with Logitech again.

Bought this after reading all the past problems. It worked great straight out of the box from Tigerelectronics then 12 days later it started making banging noises from the speakers and the display flashed and failed and then no functions. This one had a late 07 date code so it seems the same old problems are still there...great shame as it sounded great when it was working.

Just returned it for a refund at my expense $15...not very happy about that!Logitech AudioStation iPod Speaker System

Energizer CR1225 Lithium 3V Coin Cell Battery - DL1225 ECR1225

Energizer CR1225 Lithium 3V Coin Cell Battery - DL1225 ECR1225I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this as I seem to be having the same issue as many others. I bought the battery for my baby's thermometer. I did a test temp after I put the battery in and it worked fine. But after a week went by I suspected my child had a fever and went to check her temp, the thermometer only stayed on for 2 seconds, flashed a broken battery symbol and shut off. I'm thoroughly disappointed with the product, especially because it screwed me over in checking on my kid's health. Don't buy this.

Perfect! I bought this battery to replace the one in my Vicks digital thermometer. It works perfectly and I'm very happy with the price and the shipping speed. I'll definitely buy this again when I need more.

I bought this for my Vicks thermometer. This golden tip thermometer consumes too much battery but gives a reading in 6-8 seconds. So I had to buy the CR1225 3 Volt lithium battery. But as soon I placed it in the thermometer, it was giving low battery signal. So it is either fake or used.

Batteries were dead on arrival. I placed battery in my child's thermometer and all I got was a broken battery symbol. Very frustrating because my son had a fever and I couldn't take his temperature.

Tivoli Audio Model Subwoofer for Model Two, Black/Silver

Tivoli Audio Model Subwoofer for Model Two, Black/Silver
  • 5-1/4 bass driver with built-in crossover network
  • Volume level permits precise blending with your Model Two system based on preference and room acoustics
  • Furniture grade Black finished ash wood cabinet with silver accents to coordinate with the Tivoli Model 2 Black Radio
  • 20 watt internal amplifer
  • May be powered using included 9-foot power cord, or like Model Two, via an optional 12V DC power supply

I bought my Tivoli subwoofer about year 2002 and I forgot from which vendor. It was only $80 at the time. Apparently this product now has street price of $160! I did more critical tests with results to question some bad points I read in other Amazon reports of this. As real unbiased reviews are hard to come by outside Amazon, and no lab tests found, I did some tests that may be enlightening. You can repeat the same tests I performed. I generated a whole range of 5 second MP3 sine tone MP3 files. The specifics of the MP3s are: 256 kbps, 44.1 khz, stereo, 16-bit for high quality. These tones can be used to test any other speaker system. This is enough for an audible test in your own home.

The Model 2 without the subwoofer already has half volume bass sound level at 70 Hz tone. The last full volume tone was the 80 Hz tone and Model 2 is of course fine above 80 Hz. At 60 Hz, the unassisted Model 2 has no ouput! The Model 2 frequency response curve knee must be somewhere between 70 Hz and 80 Hz given how fast the bass output declined below 80 Hz. Again, half perceived volume of 70 Hz bass and no output at 60 Hz and below.

With the woofer enabled, the 70 Hz tone becomes same volume as 80 Hz, and same level at 60 Hz! The output is noticeably lower at 50 Hz. At 40 Hz, the tone is less than half of what it is at 50 Hz. At 30 Hz, the bass is still there (!), but only at a trace.

For midrange performance compaints, specifically, the adding of midrange and muddying Model 2's great sound, tests do not support this. I tested by putting subwoofer near the plain Model 2 speaker. Then unplug the Model 2's speaker where the woofer is. With Model 2 speaker silenced, now inject the higher frequency MP3 test tones for how the woofer plays out the tones. Just about everything above 100 Hz is filtered out by the woofer internal crossover. The midrange frequences are filtered out.

Bottom line: the woofer is tailored to put out where Model 2's output wanes, and does add that extra half octave as Tivoli says. See report on my treble high frequency audible test results for Model 2 to make the most of my testing.

You only need to play some pipe organ music to immediate hear the loss without the subwoofer. Muddying effect here comes mainly in the bad spots in the room where the bass constructively combined with room reflections causing boom spots, but such spots are few in my 29 foot long room.

Adds nice, SUBTLE, bass amplification. Unless you really listen for it, you won't notice. This is not a unit for thumping bass it just drops the frequency range a tad.

Styling and quality is nice.

Don't hide it away or under furniture because, unless you switch it off first (don't rely on its own Automatic setting), it will put out a really loud thumping sound if the source powers off first. We have it in our bedroom connected to a Model Two radio and I have to remember to reach under the bed and turn the subwoofer off first.

We like it but, compared to the numerous other Tivoli products we own, it's the only piece of Tivoli gear that I can't whole heartedly recommend.

Let me say first that I absolutely love the Tivoli Model Two radio. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. The selectivity of the tuner is phenomenal and the sound from the speakers is wonderful for listening.

The optional subwoofer, on the other hand, is such a mess that it nearly seems like a work of sabotage.

Another reviewer remarked that the subwoofer extends unnecessarily upward into the mid-range frequencies this is absolutely true, a fact which completely annihilates mid and upper range tone and renders music totally unlistenable. It's like trying to have a conversation with someone who keeps interrupting you, or to use a culinary image putting ketchup in your coffee. Spoils everything. The tone of the bass from this subwoofer is so bossy and undefined that I actually became angry while listening to it, and I'm not an angry guy. I tried adjusting the volume level of the output, and I even put the subwoofer in several different positions on the floor, on a shelf, under a chair, even next to the main component to no avail. Like a mosquito buzzing in your ear that terrible, obtrusive tone just wouldn't go away.

Thank goodness the Tivoli Model Two radio has sufficient bass on its own through the stereophonic speakers to reproduce naturalistic low tones for the type of music I listen to mostly Jazz.

I really can't understand how Tivoli thought this product was a good idea. It's a sonic catastrophe.

Recently, I bought B&O computer speaker, and realized need to buy a subwoofer. I wanted to buy not too big and not too expensive, but beatiful. Tivoli subwoofer seemed to satisfy all my options. However, in performance, little disappointed. The woofer makes some tearing sound if you listen music louder (not crazy louder just plentful to your room).

Also, it automatically shut down, when the signal is missing, which means most of classic music is not supported (only pop music, but tearing sound).

If you want to buy this only for the design, just go for it.

Unless, buy different one.

I bought this Tivoli sub woofer for my pc. It is great for listening to I Tunes from my computer desk top. I highly recommend this product!

iHome iP16GX Portable 30-Pin iPod/iPhone Alarm Clock Speaker Dock

iHome iP16GX Portable 30-Pin iPod/iPhone Alarm Clock Speaker Dock
  • Wake or sleep to iPhone or iPod or buzzer alarm:Start or end your day with favorite sounds & sleep to iPhone or iPod with selectable sleep timer
  • Universal dock charges and plays iPhone or iPod while docked - Enjoy your music while keeping your iPhone or iPod fully charged
  • Operates on 4 AA batteries or standard AC - Charge and play your iPhone or iPod while connected to an AC outlet
  • Reson8 speaker chambers :High fidelity neodymium micro drivers in specially designed Reson8 chambers

There are several companies making alarm clock/speaker docks for the Apple iPod/iPhone lines. I have two, the XtremeMac Luna Voyager and this iHome iP16GXC. Both provide a docking port for the iPod/iPhone on the top panel. Both then sync with the device so as to display the time. The XtremeMac, which is just a few dollars less expensive than the iHome model, has a blue florescent digit display for the clock while the iHome has a backlit LCD display. While the XtremeMac looks cooler, the iHome is actually more legible from a distance and easier to read at a glance.

Both, at the touch of a button, start playing music from the content of the iDevice. The iDevice is then accessed to change songs. Volume is adjusted from the iHome. Both units have an alarm clock capability, with the iPod/iPhone utilized for the musical accompaniment.

The big difference in the two units, beyond their appearance, is in sound quality. Both units are small, with similarly small speakers. The iHome, however, has markedly better stereo separation as well as bass level. When I first listened to the XtremeMac, I thought there was only a single speaker. The iHome's stereo reproduction is clearly superior. Vocals have greater clarity with the iHome as well. The speakers of the XtremeMac are built into the unit, out of harm's way, and this is advantageous in a dusty environment or one in which small children might poke and prod at the unit. On the iHome, the speaker domes are out in the open at the end of the unit. They can be easily damaged if poked. Obviously, one of the advantages of this design is the improvement in sound quality, but there is the disadvantage as well of potential damage.

The iHome has a watch-type battery to hold time if the power goes out. It takes four AA batteries if portability is desired away from an AC line while still using the built in speakers and amplifier.

My vote goes to the iHome for producing a highly portable, easy to read, and clear sounding stereo amplifier for the iThings. I tested it with the original iPhone, the iPhone3GS, and the iPhone4 (ATT) and had no problems with any of these sources.

I liked this product except for the fact that you have to take your case off to get it to fit into the notch at the top. I tried the thinnest case I have and it was still too thick. Apparently they sized it so it fits a naked iphone only. I have a 3gs, so I don't know ahout the iphone 4, but I'd be hesitant if you're a lover of cases.

The sound is great.

This is a dock for the the ipod, ipod touch, and iphone. I use it with my 2nd genreation touch and it works well. It doesn't work as an alarm clock without an ipod/iphone product. You place the iphone/ipod in the dock, there are adapters provided with it. Once the ipod/iphone is in the dock you can set the alarm on the dock or the phone. It will awaken you to a buzzer or to your music. There is a snooze. You can also use it as speakers and just listen. I use it at night to listen to the white noise application I have on my ipod touch. It has a timer and will turn off at the interval you set. The sound isn't stero quality but it is ok to listen to for general purposes.

Pros:

Adapters are provided for ipone/ipod products

Clock stays accurate, is easy to set

Alarm is easy to set and easy to turn off in mornig

Small, takes up 6-7 inches in length and maybe 3-4 in width on night table

Has a battery back up

Cons:

Back light, even set on dim is like a night light. (It can be turned all the way off, but then you can't see the time if you awaken in the middle of the night.)

The product works as stated. It is great to travel with. If you do not have mini speakers for your Ipod or Iphone, then this works well. It doubles as an alarm clock, but it does not have a radio. Not does it advertise as having one. The sound is good especially listening to audio books, but is weak as a stereo. The Bose Portable Sound Dock fits that bill, but much more expensive.

Since the Ipod stands in it, it is somewhat protected by the Ihome's body. This makes it somewhat better than other speakers or alarm clocks where they just have a wire to plug into the Ipod, and it rests on a table or something else external to the speakers.

We love music and like to have the ability to play it in every room of the house. The living/dining/kitchen area was the one room without a reliable solution. We needed something that would carry the music clearly throughout the room (a space of just over 400 square feet) and would work with iPods of various sizes. This iHome system has been a perfect solution.

Pros:

The sound easily and clearly carries through the room without forcing us to maximize the volume. In fact, the volume can even be turned low for a great background music option, while still providing sufficient clarity for our purposes. While I might not necessarily call the sound "astounding" as mentioned in the technical details, I would definitely rate it as good quality for a speaker system in this price range.

We have run this system all day nearly every day since receiving it a little over two weeks ago. Whichever iPod we have used in it has been nicely charged and has maintained full charge whenever it has been placed in the dock.

The size allows a great deal of flexibility in placement, which has proven exceedingly useful.

The alarm works wonderfully, with the ascending volume option and a reliable snooze.

Cons:

Every now and then, the music skips. It's never more than a second, if that long, and it doesn't happen very often at all. It is simply something worth mentioning, even though it is a practically negligible issue.

I wish the system had a protective case for portability, since it does claim to be portable. I would be uncomfortable packing it in a bag with other items.

Neither of these things, however, lead me to drop the system from a five-star rating. We've been very pleased.

MQ998 Cell Phone Watch Mobile 1.5" Quad Band Camera Mp3/4

MQ998 Cell Phone Watch Mobile 1.5' Quad Band Camera Mp3/4Update: the phone is broken. See comment to this review. I did get bluetooth to work well with two headsets, but it is useless now.

I was looking for a very small mobile phone when I happened on this baby and was hooked. Unfortunately, I got it in pink, not really my macho thing, but I am reconciled.

It works very well with a Tmobile SIM and there was no setup involved. I have a $15 a month plan and WAP is agonizingly slow, and I haven't figured out how to use it correctly yet. But that isn't a big concern.

The specs say it will work with a 4GB micro media card, but it seems to be working great with my 32GB card.

I primarily got this for jogging, just as a way to be able to make calls or send text messages. It does both well. The camera seems very primitive to me, but I don't care. I had to watch a video to find the stylus -my fingernail worked ok without it.

It works with a bluetooth headset but I found setup confusing. I have a Jabra BT3030. Pairing worked. I got a voice recording I made to play on my new Lenovo laptop using bluetooth -accidentally! I have not yet managed to hear music on the watch from the bt buds.

Non-bt buds came with the watch phone and work fine. But you have to plug them into the usb port which is awkward and risky if you are moving -that's why buying a bt headset is recommended.

Unfortunately, the built in FM radio requires the buds to be plugged in to the usb port to work, since it uses them as an antenna. Upshot: you probably won't use the FM radio much when on the move.

I found the sound recorder recording level very faint. I thought at first that sound playback was faint in general, but later I listened to Economist news stories and sound level was fine. The speaker of the watch is loud enough that you could call without using headphones of any sort in a pinch -you could hear the caller and the caller could hear you.

Text messages have a cute graphic when they arrive and a distinctive sound, as do phone calls.

The manual is written in that sometimes delightful fake English that is always awkward and often unclear.

The screen size is so small that reading ebooks seems an unlikely pastime, though an ebook reader is part of the software.

All in all, if you mainly want to call and text, this watch could be a blast, especially if you don't mind an occasional puzzle thrown in for free.

Apparently you can get this for less from non-Amazon sources. I think anything under $100 is a decent price.

+. colors of the screen

+.very complete

Although I do not have the cell phone feature working, yet, the watch does all that it promises after you buy the micro SD and the SIM card. Takes video, records sound, takes pictures, tells time. The screens are user friendly and make sense once you get the hang of it. The watch includes a stylus right in the wristband. The watch was set to English, instead of Chinese, which was helpful. The greatest negative was the lack of tech support. I learned by typing MQ998 on You tube.

item was received within timeframe; however , it doesn't charge neither of the batteries work in the watch. So I'm not sure if the thing even works. Seller said they were going to send new batteries but I have never received them as of yet. Im over this thing I just want to send it all back and get my money refunded. So, the first reason this is so great is that I got it on black friday and the price was just $99.99 plus tax. It is supposed to charge my ipad and wake me up in all sorts of ways. It has a piece of nice looking rubber seated near the charging plug for the ipad that can be removed if you want to use an ipod instead.

I downloaded the manual because the buttons on top are SUPER difficult to see in the my bedroom. It's not a super bright room and the buttons are silver with backlit names on them. If you are setting it up, it's hard because you need light and you can't see what you need to see. The trade-off is that the buttons and the design look very nice and clean. Anyway, I put my ipad on it's little dock and pressed the time sync button on the back of the unit and wow! The time was set! Then the manual said I needed to download onto my ipad the ihome app. Well, there are two and I am already confused. I can't believe I'm going to have to decipher all this. This is NOT Apple people.

Anyway, my ipad was 56% charged when I put it on there and now it is 36%. I had set only one alarm to go off for 6am every day. The alarm sounded briefly and never resounded! I don't know if I got a lemon but in the troubleshooting section, when your ipad fails to charge, they just have three different scenarios where they blame your Apple product. Lame. I am charging my ipad just fine on the wall adapter.

I will give it more stars if these problems get straightened out. I wanted to leave this review since there were no others. Sometimes companies find a way to start clean when there are lots of problems reported in reviews. If the docking problem on mine is an isolated incident, I'll find out sooner.

i just purchased this unit from Sam's Club at a great price! unlike the other reviewers, i am using this clock radio in my office. It is a wonderful unit! as soon as i set it up and put my iPhone on it, the clock immediately synched time with my iPhone.

I had to purchase and return several other iPhone speaker docking units because i have a case on my iPhone and i didn't want to remove every time i used the dock. this unit has a removable rubber strip that when removed, was very easy to set my iPhone on the dock.

Not only does the unit charge my iPhone with no problem, but the sound is great. the radio is easy to set up and is perfect for my use.

The reason for the 4 stars is because the buttons on the top of the unit are hard to read. Out of curiosity, i will set the alarm and see how it works.

This was an early Christmas present for my wife. It started out fine. I downloaded the free app that allows you to use your phone or ipad to sync the clock and to set up the alarms. The app interface is kind of important because the the controls on the clock are not user friendly. For about a week, we had it set up to wake us with the radio, and that was fine. Then, ihome seems to have changed it's apps. When I tried to set the alarm to wake with radio, I get sent to the app store to BUY a radio app! Really? A hundred dollar alarm clock and the company wants me to pay more money to have a radio option? Any cheap radio clock can do that much without the need for a four hundred dollar phone running a two dollar app. So far this week, we've had two out of two alarm failures and we're not exactly sure why because it worked fine last week before the apps mysteriously changed. So, now it fails as an alarm clock and I need to buy a feature I already had under the old app. My advice is skip ihome and find a nice speaker dock for your iphone/ipad and get a cheap, reliable clock for waking up.

Just bought this as a gift for our 11 year old son. He opened the package, plugged it in, and figured out how to use it in minutes. The sound is great. Set the alarm with no problem, even chose the song to wake up to from is ipod app. Time sync'd as soon as the ipad was in place. He uses the ipad screen to update information on the id85, I noticed. If he can do it so quickly and easily, I can not see why others are having issues. Maybe once he starts getting into more complicated types of use, it might get more challenging, but so far, no guess work and super easy to set up and use for music and an alarm!!!

Received for Christmas 2011, Apple update to iOS 5.1, and it is no longer compatible. It charges, but will not play music. But the worst part (for me) is that the audio settings are all jammed up after docking. I literally have to power down and reboot in order for my audio to work after placing on this.

(I have the iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1...just one man's tale)
